I had gone to Caesar at groom for manscaping. I told him very plainly, and simply and clearly that I wanted a TRIM of my back hair. He clearly did not listen to me. He said it was miscommunication. He shorn me like a sheep. It was the first time going to him, and I promise you it will be the last time going to him. I love Caesar Jimenez! I have been a customer and friend of Caesar's for almost 10 years - AND HE IS FANTASTIC! I am lucky and don't have very much body hair, at least in those unwanted places. But I DO believe in looking and feeling as good as I can. Caesar takes care of my eyebrows and ears, and they always look wonderful and NATURAL. I also have Caesar wax my dick, balls, and butt crack - I love to be smooth down there - as do my friends. (You can read into that a whole lot of different ways!!!) I love getting waxed - as it removes hair where I don't want it more thoroughly than shaving or clipping. Additionally, over time the hair grows back more slowly and becomes less coarse. Besides the incredibly skilled work that Caesar does, he is the sweetest guy and is SO damn cute. He puts one at ease immediately, and all that anxiety and apprehension about "exposing" your most private areas disappear immediately. Don't be afraid to get ANY part of your body waxed - really, I mean ANY part! Waxing isn't nearly as painful as you would expect. It is kinda crazy to say this, but having Caesar wax you borders on the mildly erotic - and I love that! I have been going to Cesar for years for a variety of beautification procedures. :-) I found him originally when his studio was on Castro St., a close walk from my home. I'll admit don't love coming to Union Square now, but he's totally worth the trip! When he moved to Post St. there was no question. I was definitely following him. He dyes my blonde eyebrows brown to match my hair. A few times a year I'll have him wax my back and upper arms. He even tints my eyebrows so that my eyes pop a bit. He has very gentle, steady hands. His competence reassures me, which is a big deal because I don't like having anyone poking around my eyes. Most importantly he gives you exactly what you're looking for; in my case subtle improvements that look completely natural. I would give Cesar 10 stars if mean old Yelp would let me! He is fabulous. My partner and I have been getting facials about once every 2 months from Caesar Jiminez at GROOM for as long as he has been in business - 6+ years in the Castro and now I've been to his great new location just half a block from Union Square. The new space is clean, fresh and airy.
