The wrap was made in 5 minutes. They made sure to not put sauce on the wrap, and instead but the dairy sauce on the side. I do wish the wrap had a sauce option that was vegan like hummus or a spicy red sauce. It was a little dry with nothing. That falafel though made this wrap totally worth ordering The falafel was so light and perfectly flavored. Finally a falafel ball that is not burnt on the outside, dried out, or just tastes like parsley. This falafel was everything I could have dreamed of, and I will certainly order it again. Next time I visit Zam Zam not only will I bring a shopping bag to grocery shop, but I also look forward to another authentic falafel wrap. It's a small store with some interesting and some unusual products. There are shelves on the left side wall and the store is divided in the middle with shelves displaying various items. The two things that stood out to me most were the dishes and serving pieces, plus the variety of spices. The dinner ware, tureens, and coffee sets were decorated in colorful but tasteful patterns. Just past the coffee sets were some everyday items like paper towels and Cling wrap. There was a small refrigerator case in the back but I didn't really pay attention to what it contained. What was amazing to me was the variety of spices. Most were in plastic containers with labels and hand-written names of the contents. I really did not recognize a number of the spices. We asked for coriander and were told they did'n't have it but the clerk suggested that two other spices used together would make a good substitute. We bought those plus flax seeds, raw chick peas to make falafel and coffee beans which turned out to be unroasted (pretty obvious but didn't think about it until we got home). We looked up how to toast coffee beans and it was actually pretty easy and Rich said it's the some of the best coffee he's ever had. Only downside to roasting it was the smokiness but that's a lesson learned to be prepared for next time. The store smelled wonderful and when I mentioned it to the clerk she said she had just eaten lunch. They should pipe that small into the store every day. We will definitely go back for more chick peas and coffee, plus it's a good excuse to stop by Azucar for lunch!

As the name suggests, there are specialty food items from all over Europe. While I saw some things like English teas, German cookies, and a few Greek items, it seemed like the majority of the offerings were from Eastern Europe. I think over half of the products had labels in Cyrillic alphabet with no translation on them in any fashion, so some things you just gotta know what it is or ask the staff. I saw a lot of things from Georgia and Ukraine, but I think I saw other products from that region (Russian, Lithuanian, Macedonian, etc.). The staff were very friendly, and cheerfully assisted me with some of the pastries we purchased. One had a nice balance of flaky pastry and fruit filling while the blintzes seemed a bit underwhelming. I also picked up a bottle of dessert wine and Children #1 and #2 picked out some candies that caught their eye. The inside is clean and somewhat small but easy to navigate. There is music playing (I don't know what language; I want to say Russian but in today's climate that could be a charged statement. Just want to say it positively adds to the vibe). Worth checking out, if you want to explore a product you might not otherwise be exposed to or if you want to find a specialty European item that you've been missing.
