Although there is no store brand, all of their name brand products are even cheaper than those in competing stores. The layout is easy to figure out since it is in the smaller side for a super market. The only thing that isn't great is the amount of variety available but there is enough of each type of product. I'm sure it is because they are in there first couple of weeks from being open but there is not an excessive amount of staff. The ones that were there though we very friendly! The best description of an Ocean State Job Lot is what Big Lots used to be like until it started focusing more on furniture and moved away from its core business model. Even though I do not frequent this retailer, I will stop if I am vacationing or on a business assignment and spot one. This location was clean and well stocked with plenty of items I had never seen before, like Kit Kat made by Nestle, which is predominantly seen in Japan and Canada. In the United States, Kit Kat is owned by Hershey, thus the flavor options are limited. So, of course, I purchased some unique flavors; even though I had enough clothes, I kicked up several New Jersey-themed t-shirts in the font style of the TV show Friends, which friends well received. It was a fun place to shop during my drive to my hotel.
