I did not notice until after I left the store. When calling the store I was met with the worst customer service I've ever encountered. I was put on hold and disconnected. I had to explain the story several times and transfered to several people. I was on hold over 20 minutes . No one would give their name. One woman when asked "Who am I speaking too?" Would only say "Customer service ". She eventually transferred me to a manager who was so rude I don't think I can even explain it clearly enough in this . First he tried to say "HOW DO YOU KNOW THE PRICE WAS WRONG?!" in a very agressive tone. He then put me back on hold to check the price then came back and blamed me for ringing it wrong myself because we went to self check out. When I explained I could not have rang in it twice as he claimed because there were 3 items in one deli container...I swiped it once and all 3 rang up individually with that swip...If I would have double swipped they all would have shown being rang in twice but that's not what happened. The item I was double charged for (which there were 2 of) rang up two times but at twice the price they should have been. For some reason he just wanted to blame me for the mistake. So I got annoyed by this and asked "Why is it so important to you to blame me.? Why can't you just except your employee tagged it wrong and refund me my money? " He insisted because it was my fault and I should be more careful! He did refund the money (after I said I would contact my credit card company) but insisted on continuing to say it was my fault. I asked his name and his response was " I'm not going to tell you!" .i don't care if they had the only food available in the stae...I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN! He is rude and a discusting excuse as a human being. This was the Gourmet Glatt 1700 Madison Ave, Lakewood, NJ (732)961-1700

They do not carry fresh Asian vegetables, sadly, but they do have an International aisle that carries some, and the main focus was on Mexican spices and tortillas, etc. The butcher section is one of my favorites. I was looking for pork belly and did not feel like going all the way to Edison, NJ. I saw their pork belly beautifully cut, but it was not as thick as I would like. I saw the sign indicating I could ring and speak to the butcher. After briefly asking, he cut it to the perfect thickness, and I will be able to make my sticky braised pork belly. They also carry a vast array of spices, so I was able to obtain my Five Spice here. Before I forget, they have an amazing cheese section. Some are precut, and there is a person at the counter who can cut you a fresh cheese wedge for charcuterie. Overall, a great experience at the local grocery store.

The variety of foods is a great selection. I think they could improve their health food section with more options, I have better luck in the Aberdeen store with a good selection of health foods. The cooked food is all excellent and lots of options. We also love the fresh coffee beans, it smells so good in this section of the store. We switched our Pharmacy to this Shoprite as well, and the Pharmacist, Shefali Patel, is the best Pharmacist we have ever worked with. She goes out of her way to help every patient and definitely prioritizes her customers and their needs. She is an exceptional provider.

Keep up the good work.

No matter how nice a customer is to them, they are "nasty." The prices are exorbitant for what you get, and especially during the holidays they take full advantage. I would rather travel a bit farther to another store than to shop here. The only reason they are busy at times is because there aren't many other options. If Faicco's were nearby, Livoti would close their doors. I understand prices have gone up but theirs are outrageous. At least if you're going to take advantage of people, smile at the checkout so we do t feel so bad about it!!!
