New location. It's small compared to other locations, not a huge selection. It's very clean and the staff is super friendly.

Products are generally well stocked and the fresh things are fresh. There seem to be more than a few miserable people who work here or they are treated miserably and it affects their interactions with each other and customers . I guess it's a mixed bag, Some staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, and professional. It's a big place.. Also, signage is an issue and management should work on this. I always seem to be standing in the wrong place, not lined up where I supposed to be or something. Don't treat the people using self check out like they are criminals. And for goodness sake, if you want one line for express ordering and customer service and lottery, then rope it off and put the register where the personnel have a good line of sight. Today I had a staff member complain about me to her coworker (loud enough for me to hear) for walking up to the counter and there wasn't another customer anywhere around. Sorry I interrupted your conversation -- I really didn't see the little sign on the counter that says to form one line. Also, I was the only person waiting so there so there really wasn't a line to form :-p.

I always feel like they have a fresher selection and so I come here pretty often. The parking lot is spacious, clean, new and not overwhelming because of other stores who need to share parking. It's just a calmer experience. Then the set up is more preferred with the way you can enter through the main entrance or near there pharmacy. I also really like the convenience of having wines and spirits attached to make it a one stop shop for the customers. Very convenient and and easy to get what I need.

Good variety, smaller market compared to others but it's comfortable and staff is pleasant. They have very good store fried chicken and other prepared foods. Online and curbside is very good. Only reason for 4 stars is because some of the product is limited. Overall Foodtown is a nice change of pace from the massive and super crowded supermarkets.

I prefer the legs…read morewhich are always perfect and find the thighs always a touch overcooked but still edible, that said any part you choose is crispy tasty and satisfying. They have a fantastic selection of hot and cold self serve with wings and salads when in a pinch its a great grab for a decent hot meal like meatloaf or mac n cheese. The produce section has a nice variety and you can buy small amounts which is helpful for a single live alone dude like me. Baked goods and breads are terrific. The Deli counter makes fabulous roast beef and turkey. There is a huge selection of cold beer but the cold wine section is kind of sparse. They do sell liquor but it is not often restocked. Note Foodtown; I've been looking for Midori for weeks its time to restock! I find the meat section limited and a bit pricy along with the sea food section but they do make smaller packages again helpful for smaller households. I do think the grocery and dry good sections are also pricy compared to the other grocery store in Middletown NJ. It's seems like you pay slightly higher cost to offset the convenience of proximity being the only supermarket between Garden State Parkway Exit 117 and Atlantic Highlands or Route 36. They just repaved the parking lot which is helpful since the rainy days would be such a mess in the big pot holes. It's all fixed up now and its a vast improvement. The lot is small near the store but as a whole there are plenty of spots either by the bank, throughout the entire shopping center or the extra commuter lot near the Wilson avenue entrance. I also believe the entire staff is friendly and generally happy a testament to the management team. I've been a patron for years and will continue to frequent this establishment. TRY THE CHICKEN you'll forget all about the Colonel!
