Then as i walk passed him with all my items he decides to accuse me of stealing asking "hey sir do u have a receipt for all that" i made him look like a complete fool and as i walked out of the store i looked back and saw him talking crap with the other Ingles employee and customer so i walked back in there and asked if he was talking sh't and he decided to lie and say that he was asking the men if he was a bad person. The assistant manager is by far the most unprofessional boot licker employee that i have ever had to deal with he was smiling during the entire interaction and even pussified his voice .i have never been treated this way before at any grocery store. i work inside Ingles extremely frequently and i have actually worked at the ingles in Mills River as a cashier i won't ever be returning to this Ingles again i will actually drive out of my way to go to the Ingles in Hendersonville.

I'm still crying as I type this, I have never been so humiliated. We've been shopping at Publix for…read morethree decades, and I knew Carol Barnett personally, but I will never again return to THIS location-despite the sincere apologies from the very kind store manager, and a very sympathetic CSR Savannah - because ONE rotten apple employee. After a fabulous afternoon birthday tea with friends, I popped into Publix Waynesville. The lines were long, so I opted for self-checkout. Packing bags , I was admittedly slow and deliberate as I am not good at "bagging". I also looked to note that items were being rung up properly (ex. BOGO) so it probably took me about 5 minutes to ring up a full trolley of goods and pack them. As I was placing the receipt into my purse and preparing to vacate the spot, an employee came up and loudly announced that she "did not see me ring up my paper towels" and demanded the receipt. This is something that she HAS THE TECHNOLOGY to check without uttering a word to me. It was an obvious attempt at public humiliation (why?). Several people put their head on a swivel to see the drama of someone loudly being accused of shoplifting paper towels. I wanted to crawl under the register and die, but I could only manage to hand her the receipt and put my head down. After the employee saw her obvious mistake, she only said "okay, thank you" and handed me the receipt back. I asked the monitor standing nearby "why" she did that, to which she gave no reasonable explanation. I barely made it to my vehicle before I broke out in tears and phoned my husband, who instructed me to return all the groceries immediately. I will give credit where credit is due and say that both CSR Savannah and the store manager on duty were very sympathetic and understood how, in this very small town, this would be utterly humiliating. They apologised profusely and the manager even offered to walk me and my groceries (that I didn't return) back to my vehicle. Regardless, the embarrassement of being falsely accused in such a way as to shame me publicly - when I did absolutely nothing wrong, has forever ruined shopping at the Waynesville Publix. Thankfully, I still have all the Sarasota Publix locations.

Clean, well stocked, bright and with employees who are friendly and helpful. I placed an order at the deli counter and returned after doing some other shopping. This is good customer service and I'm sure it's more efficient for them, too. Why keep a customer standing around, right? The shelves are leveled, there was no garbage or trash on the floor, and they have a Starbucks at the entrance. Fabulous. [Review 20133 overall - 3482 in North Carolina - 1109 of 2023.]

Bagger (boyfriend topic) at least said thank you. WOW. I go to staffed aisles on purpose. I support humans and don't get any discounts doing it myself. I should have scanned my own stuff today. Very unpleasant experience.

Since then, they've remodeled, making the store hideous. The obnoxiously bright fluorescent lights are blinding. Their prices have also been skyrocketing since then. I'm from San Francisco. I lived in Marin, a very expensive area. The prices at this Earthfare are sometimes double what I'm used to paying in Marin county, CA, less than two years ago. We pretty much just shop at Whole Foods now, who's prices are far more reasonable. Just know if you shop here, it's going to hurt your eyes and your pocketbook. Some of the staff are super friendly though, and I appreciate that they do try and cater to the healthy shopper. Two stars for that. Now if they would only stop bleeding their shoppers dry.

Perhaps it's because I'm from California, but paying $20 for a triple cream brie? Or $1.99lb for potatoes? $4.99lb for shallots?!? You've got to be kidding.... Either way, the cheese guy in there knew his stuff! I was very impressed. The wine selection was OK. In a high-end store like that I guess I'd expect to see more of a selection from California, but whatever. If ever I return to Fletcher, I will certainly come back to shop here.
