This place s a one-time stop on the way home ,for groceries that we haven't had a chance to get during the week In most cases it is not a primary shopping grocery store, the items here are not what they used to be as far as the variety or savings, they have come over to the major brands that you see in Albertsons and Vons with less selection and not much savings. Grocery outlet is the place I like go to when I need to pick up a bag of salad or some asparagus before I hit home they have not been location for me to pick up meatbor poultry for the last three to five years, and the quality is below the quality most people shop for. read more

Everything goes well when I go to Grocery Outlet. When I visit my son in Bakersfield, California, that's the only grocery store I go to. Worst customer service I've ever seen. Asked an associate a question and he totally ignored me.

I just left the store and was surprised how unfriendly the staff were today. Usually are always friendly, I come here often so it's not the usual staff that I've seen. As soon as I approached the checkout I could see neither cashier were in a good mood. The cashier usually grabs me a cart to take my groceries out. But she pointed and asked me to get a grey cart. Okay, fine. Then I proceeded to bag my groceries since I brought my own bags, but then realized I might need another. Asked for one, then rather than the cashier help me with bagging at that point she just watched me. So I did not get a good experience today. Not a hello, have a good day or anything. Mind you I was the only one checking out, so they didn't have any lines to worry about. I don't want to make any assumptions as to why they treated me this way today but I'll just leave it at that. read more

This is not they type of store you go into with a grocery list. This is the store where you peruse the aisles, because the offerings may change. Things may be very near expiration, so be aware. I often buy snacks (they always have a varied selection) there for my class, as they'll be eaten immediately. read more

The best grocery store that I've been to. They have one of the best selections of healthier foods than any grocery store in Bakersfield. This location is better than the other Grocery outlet stores. Management here seems to really care about the health of the customers. I travel across town just to shop here. Prices are excellent and the selections are superior. Vegans, vegetarians, and healthy eaters will love this store, although they cater to all customers. It's usually hard to find quality vegan and vegetarian foods in Bakersfield. This store comes through and does not disappoint. I hope the management staff m status for years to come. They actually know what the customers desires, good quality, good tasting, healthy foods. We go to this store almost every day. It is clean, well stocked, and the atmosphere is always upbeat. We love the music that plays and you can't help but sing along as you are shopping. They have great deals and the owner is a very nice lady. If you ever need a good place to shop this is it!!! The prices are great and we can always find different items that might not always be seen at the bigger stores.
