They have good sized clean restrooms throughout with flush toilets and showers offer. The campground is in nature. There was reported a bear that was coming through the campground. I didn't get to see it because it was totally dark out but we heard rustling it the forest that surrounded our trailer. The campground sits at an elevation of 9,100 ft. in the White Mountains of eastern Arizona. It is a very scenic area, surrounded with ponderosa pine, Douglas fir, spruce and quaking aspen. We stayed for 4 days and really enjoyed staying here. It is close (they say walking distance but it's a short drive for me) to Big Lake, one of Arizona's top fishing lakes. Big Lake is known for its trout fishing, with rainbow, brown, cutthroat, brook and, even, the critically endangered Apache trout. The recreation area also has great places for hiking, mountain biking, ATV trails, bird watching and wildlife viewing. Amenities include: Dump Station Flush Toilets Showers Water Hookups Picnic Table Grills/Fire Ring Accessibility Accessible Occupant Message Sewer Hookup Full Hookup Electricity Hookup Water Hookup The best thing this campground offers is dark skies and quiet. The trees were hypnotizing. The campground is amazingly clean. I always pick up trash at any area I visit and this is the one place I had to work to find one inch pieces of trash. I highly recommend Apache Trout Campground. It is tough to find days together to reserve because sites get filled fast. Even if you can visit or stay in another campground nearby. It is worth enjoying nature in its best.

The cabin I stayed in was comfortable with two beds, a fireplace which I used. It was so lovely having a fire going when it started to rain, hail and then magically snow. Sidenote: Magical was the themed feeling for this trip lol. The kitchen is a FULLY stocked kitchen with everything you would need to cook or bake with. I even found coffee for the coffeemaker! I relaxed by the fire and read to my hearts content. I love that you can bring your pet for a $35.00 charge. Well worth it to have my best buddy with me on my bday. FYI: You can buy wood for the fireplace at the Lazy Trout about four to five minutes drive from the cabin. Cannot wait to rebook a stay!!

Place had easy parking to load and unload suitcases and groceries. We were guest of the two bedroom cabin. Our teen wanted the room with the T.V. so my spouse and I got the spare room. The bed was very uncomfortable and less as nice as the main bedroom. It had some cleanliness issues as well. The owner was told of the cleanliness issues. The living room furniture needed some upgrading as well. Fireplace was nice. Wifi is provided. Overall the place is cute and just like the pictures.

Our cabin was a clean and rustic but well kept 2 bedroom 1 bath with a full kitchen, comfortable living room with fireplace, plus a large deck. We had plenty of hot water for showers, and it was of course very very quiet and peaceful. If we had been so inclined, we could have walked to where our friends were staying in Greer in perhaps 15-20 minutes, but we chose to take the short drive instead. We also did some cooking while there and found the kitchen to be well stocked with cookware and utensils. We enjoyed a private evening or two on the deck as well and found that it included a propane bbq grill, although we did not use it. We enjoyed it and felt the rate was reasonable. Will definitely consider East Fork Cabins again when visiting Greer!

There is a volleyball net and a volleyball is provided to use. The grounds are beautiful! Lots of grassy land, flowers, and it is right next to a creek that feeds into Little Colorado River! Location is only a mile from a convenience grocery store. You won't be disappointed!

I came to this campground around 2pm on a Thu and took my chances to see if there were any first come first serve spots and there were plenty to choose from! Sweet! I had the option of Turkey Loop or Bear Loop as both were FF options. There are also a few other loops where you can reserve a spot. There are 100 sites here so it's a relatively big campground. My site was $30/night. Max nights at campground is 14 days. This campground was luxurious to me as I have done more BLM, primitive style camping recently so having toilets and showers was really glamping it for me! Showers here are from 6:30am - 6:30pm. And if you don't get a campsite, it's $12 for showers. You can also buy ice here which is $3.50 for 7 lbs bag and also firewood for $10 but being it's now fire restriction season, no wood is being burnt. But you can use propane cookers and propane fire places too. Great location, easy access to everything, quiet and shaded, lots of birds. Will definitely be back here again!

Bear Paw RV Park, Eagar, AZ…read more This is a beautiful area of northeastern AZ on the way from Phoenix through the Great Array and on to Soccoro. The park is just on the edge of town, which is a small contiguous township with Springerville. It is easy to find. The pull through sites are nicely gravelled and spacious. Clearly their main clientele are seasonal residents. On this day in mid-March I am the only overnight guest. The seasonal places are quite clever and people have put a lot of thought into adding on porches here, decks there to light weight travel trailers. I would guess in the summer the weather is heaven. The sites are large enough to feel a little spacious and there are tall Chinese elm trees between each site. They are just leafing out now. A roundabout walk around the whole park takes about 15 minutes, and the views of nearby mountains and hills and very nice to see. The air here is very fresh. I like the strictness of the rules: Quiet time 8 PM to 8 AM, no generators. I think older visitors would really like this. I saw lots of deer sign. A few cautions: They do not accept credit cards so bring cash ($21) for a 30 amp site. They do not have showers or public restrooms. I think they simply decided their main clientele were semi permanent and didn't want to bother with cleaning a bathroom. I will have to take a bird bath tonight. They do have one machine for laundry, with cold water only at the moment. The owner thought I would have an internet signal being fairly close to her house, but there is no signal. As a single woman traveling alone I actually feel quite safe here. The owners are nearby, and there is only one entrance and exit. I think this town and this business stands in as a good example of what AZ is like outside the big cities: Conservative, very private, sprawling with all sorts of equipment and barns. It is a functional place, and clearly the owners do a lot of their own construction work, etc. Nothing too fancy, but orderly and pretty clean.
