We didn't expect much since Springerville was such a small town, so we were quite surprised when we pulled in! First of all, it doesn't even seem like this place belongs in this part of the country. Every place before it was dried up, rocky, monotone tan. When we arrived here, all the grass was green and it is surrounded by huge hills that are all green as well. It's almost like we landed in Ireland! The park itself is a decent size, and sites are nice with newly packed beautiful red-brown rock. We almost didn't want to pull into our spot because it was so perfectly packed down without a single tire print. The hosts at this RV park are so kind and so sweet. We were happy to see their smiling faces after a long day on the road. Out of the 21 RV parks we stayed in during our five week trip, this is in the top five. If you are in the area, I recommend Springerville RV park :-)

My wife and I have stayed at this park a number of times over the last several years and found the owners to be helpful and more than willing to go out of the way to help in any circumstance. The only reason I hesitate to write a review is because it will bring more RVers and make it more difficult to find a spot when we want it but that aside this is a great park, in a great location, run by great people.

One was a bit upscale with lots of activities but less trees or nature. The other was Rainbow Forest RV Park. The park claims to be in the largest stand of Ponderosa Pines in the world. It is natural and tons of trees. It is close to Rainbow Lake. The sites were not as large though and there were almost no amenities and no organized activities. It is a beautiful place and would be an amazing place to stay. Rainbow Forest RV Park is a good choice to stay. It all depends what you are looking for in a park.

After spending a week in beautiful Dolores Colorado in our new trailer our refrigerator took a poop…read moreso we had to come home a day earlier than expected. In a crunch we needed a place to park it for the night so we decided to stop in the tiny town of St Johns Arizona and yes I said tiny one of those towns where you blink and you miss it while driving past it. We found St Johns RV Resort using Yelp and holly cow what a misleading place it was. It was something out of a shanty camp lots of permanent residents in beat up broken down trailers with tons of trash spread out everywhere it's not what a guest would want to see looking for a place to stay for the night. Had I known that ahead of time since we arrived at night I would've never agreed to stay. The women's restroom needs severe help chipped paint and mold as you can see in the pictures I can go on and on but I won't. I don't recommend this place by any means you're better off staying someplace like Show Low. We looked at another RV resort on our way out here in St Johns and it was just as bad. If you need to stop for anything in this town food or gas is about the only thing I can recommend and make sure you wear a bullet proof bra.
