The Griswold staff came through for my family in our time of need. They provided warm, caring caretakers to sit with my mom when she required assistance at home. It was such a blessing to know she was in good hands when a family member couldn't be there. The staff nurse made sure the team knew mom's needs and the owner, Brad, even responded to my call on a Sunday afternoon. If you need home care, you can't get better, more consistent care than Griswold. read more

We have been engaged with Griswold for nearly a year now. We are delighted with my mother's caregiver, and the quality of service. The office manager has been extremely responsive to our situation and my mother's needs. Stacey, her caregiver, genuinely cares and gives her whole heart when spending time with my mom. We hired Griswold Home health care to provide 24 hour care to my father who was critical and dying. The workers that were scheduled were all wonderful. They were professional, well trained and caring. We would not have been able to care for our father at home without their assistance. We highly recommend them. read more

History

Established in 1982.

The idea for Griswold Home Care came as a result of a tragedy when an older widow who was a member of the church where Doctor Lincoln Griswold (Jean Griswold's husband) was the pastor. Although she was affluent, the parishioner couldn't find anyone to help her when her private caregiver fell and broke her hip. Sadly, no one knew she was not being cared for properly. The widow consequently died of dehydration. This incident inspired Jean Griswold to start Overnight Sitting Service in her home. Demand for services grew quickly. As Griswold Home Care's reputation spread, requests for care came from further distant locations. Each new home care office served the local community; using Caregivers who knew the area and who could serve Clients in the community, even in bad weather. Only office Directors who share Jean Griswold's philosophy of providing excellent service at an affordable rate are considered. We are equally discreet when evaluating office staff and Caregivers.
