A Filipino place in the middle of nowhere New Mexico?! I can barely get a good Filipino spot in a city like St. Louis and Gallup, NM has this spot? Anyway, I got here like 20 min before close and they were nearly out of everything. I ended up getting what was left of their pork adobo, a bbq pork skewer, a vegetable egg roll, and an ube hopia. The pork adobo and bbq pork were both made using good chunks of pork with some bits still having the skin and some still having the good marbling of fat. Either way it was delicious and 100% no complaints. The egg roll was a little floppy, but really hit the spot. No one would ever call it gourmet, but it hit the spot like only good "comfort" food would. The hopia was really dry though, I'd pass on that. If you have time, also hit up the Filipino market right next door for some road trip snacks!

Being from Vietnam, I'm extremely picky about where I eat Vietnamese food, and I'm happy to say we really enjoyed our meals here. We order Grilled chicken w rice and egg, vermicelli noodles with grilled pork w eggroll. Our son ordered the Phở Bò Viên (Vietnamese noodle soup with meatballs), and the broth was flavorful and comforting. We've already been back twice during our visit, and it's so nice to see that many Gallup locals are enjoying Vietnamese cuisine too! Thank you to the polite and welcoming staff, and especially the owner for bringing a taste of Vietnamese cuisine to Gallup. We're already looking forward to coming back and trying your upcoming Bánh Mì (Vietnamese sandwich) spot next visit.

After hiking at El Morro, we were arriving into Gallup late on a Sunday night and were scrambling…read moreto find places still open. We found this restaurant on Yelp and ordered ahead since they closed at 5. Our order was not ready at the requested time, so we had to wait for them to finish it up. When the worker handed it to us, I asked if utensils were in the bags and he assured me they were. They were not. It makes it very difficult to eat pho in particular without the right utensils. We ordered: - Spam Musubi: not sure why they put the sauce on the side. The point of this dish is that the spam is cooked in the teriyaki sauce. - Spring rolls: these were very good. Probably the best thing we ordered. - Fried egg roll: also very good. Really liked the dipping sauce - Fried rice with spam: the spam was not cooked into the rice. It was thrown on the rice and was super dry, almost like they had deep fried it. The rice overall also had a weird flavor. - Pho with brisket: broth had a different flavor than we're used to, but it was flavorful. Veggies were fresh. - Honey soy butter chicken with rice: I didn't taste the honey or the soy, but it had good flavor. It was pretty greasy though. - Boba: Taro and milk tea were both pretty watered down and boba didn't have any flavor. They have a large seating area and had country music playing.

The sheep head had little meat, on its face, dry and nothing but bone, smaller heads. Ribs: were short and tiny rack, blood coming out of them so I asked if they were done and I was told they were but never have I seen bloody mutton ribs. Navajos don't do rare, med well, it's gotta be cooked completely with zero blood existing on the mutton. We drove many hrs to come here, left disappointed. This place is famous for its roasted meats, it's not like it was when we stopped there with the grandparents. I missed the crispy roasted fat, meat was almost like jerky on the outside and soft and juicy when you take a bite. Please someone fix this. We drove home was not quite the same bc we traveled many hrs to eat mutton and we couldn't due to the bloody ribs. All the candies and pastries that I had missed were all available, the big red peanut patties, hot pickles, cracker jacks, popcorn balls, Little Debbies, hostess, and we found a 50 pound bluebird flour...which was the biggest we have ever seen. Please stock the regular sized banana moon pies, the old folks were disappointed that they only have vanilla in the super tiny moon pies that was actually a bunch of us older folks complaining about it on that aisle how come they don't carry the regular size moon pies anymore especially the banana. " we don't want the super tiny ones" that's a request of the seniors that were standing there in the aisle. So we picked up a box of little Debbies banana marshmallow pies....yes it was as yummy as i remember but the banana moon pies will always be the best the big ones.

It can get crazy busy in here Especially in the summer Doesn't matter if it's weekends or weekdays The line stretches back but moves quickly Really great drinks Some really intriguing They've made boba popular in Gallup, at least in my mind Among my favorites: definitely the mangonada Sometimes they've run out and it's created a craving for the nearly unattainable which thankfully rarely happens now Also the buko pandan, a lightly toasted coconut flavor with a pale green color The chai is good As is the Ube and Vietnamese coffee - which surprised me bc of the color combination but was delightful if a bit sweet I've liked everything I've tried Parking can be an issue; this is rt along Rte 66 But turn off on side streets (and pay attention to the one-way signs!)
