    the Chilli Addict

As a visitor from the United States that loves healthy burgers, this is the place where I fell in love with my favorite healthy burger of all time: The Chilli Addict. The chilli sauce is the perfect addition to any burger. Was in Sydney for two weeks and visited this restaurant 4-5 times just to get this burger. Service was always excellent and the staff is very flexible in allowing you to switch up ingredients at no additional cost. A must try!

Toasty...That's the grilled burger experience in one word. I saw the toasted buns when I entered Grill'd and was worried. However, the toasty buns actually give these burgers an element I've never explored. A nice char on the bread and crunch (while a little different on the first bite) was something I grew into as I enjoyed my burger. I tried the Crispy Bacon & Cheese burger topped with lettuce, Canadian bacon, relish, herbed mayo, red onion and cheese. The combination of the grilled bun, cheese, herbed mayo, and meat was almost like eating a gourmet panini. It would have been great to have a juicy patty to contrast with the toasted sesame bun, however the beef seems to be a bit dry. Overall, I think the Grill'd burger is an acquired taste in a different style of burger, which Grill'd delivers on quite well. My suggestion would be that grilled double up on the cheese with the toasty bread to give these burgers a "grilled cheese"-burger effect. If you're looking for a different sort of burger adventure add Grill'd to your list.

In from Canada I just had to try an authentic aussie burger with egg and beat root. I found this place on TripAdvisor and was impressed. The service was good for a fast food joint and the burger was great; we went for "The Almighty" and added a slice of pineapple for good measure. They offer gluten free and low carb options which I would appreciate on future visits - this time I went all in and loved every bite. Only complaint is tap water is atrocious. Do.it!

I first tried Grill'd in Melbourne, and in both cases I came away satisfied. The burgers, while not mind-blowing, are solid. You won't regret any choice on the menu, so long as you don't actually expect the 'crispy' bacon to be crispy! The chips are where Grill'd really takes things to eleven. They're a medium-thick cut and dusted with herbs. Paired with the sweet chili mayo of the gods, it's enough to make any properly breathing human salivate. They also have a couple of good beers available, but be aware that they'll probably cost close to $10 apiece!

I'm not a burger person. Or at least I didn't think I was. Having grown through my Maccas-infused youth (I came of age in the era of the McDonalds birthday party) and come out the other side with only the odd (drunken) craving, burgers just weren't part of my life. I probably even dismissed the first mutterings about Grill'd with a weary sigh about our increasingly Americanised culture. But allow me to eat my hat...with a side of Grill'd, if you please. These burgers are amazeballs. You can taste every fresh ingredient and the meat actually tastes like meat! So far I've tried the 'Summer Sunset' (100% lean beef, avocado, bacon, pineapple, salad, relish and herbed mayo - $11.90) and the 'Sweet Chilli Chicken' (grilled chicken breast, beetroot, shredded carrot, salad, relish and sweet chilli mayo - $9.90) - and I've enjoyed every bite. Yes you're paying a bit of a premium for your burger - I even overheard one annoyingly loud fellow proclaiming this overpriced store would never last - tell that to the crowds, chump. But it's absolutely worth it for the taste, and even the care that goes into the burgers. Case in point: takeaway burgers come perfectly wrapped and bound with a fun little tag that tells you which is which. Ok, so it turns out I'm a burger person after all. And that's before I mention you can kick back with a beer as well! Oh yes, we're not in Maccas anymore.

Best vegetarian burger I've ever had. As a non-vegetarian, it was my #1 choice over any other burger.

I had the "summer sunset" burger with beef, pineapple, "crispy" bacon which definitely wasn't, avocado, salad, relish, and herbed mayo.

But the inside as so cute, and more seats than I thought there'd be!! The lady that took our order was so nice too!!! Their chairs aren't that comfy though!! LOL!! But they actually have USB chargers as well, but the lights that are on the end of the bench seating along the wall where the chargers are are weird. It's like being in a library LOL! And it's awkward if you're with someone cause you have the light there between us. We used it as a spot light for the chips we were sharing LOL! But again, I love their burgers, and it didn't disappoint! https://www.tripadvisor.com.au/ShowUserReviews-g255060-d7255842-r646700822-Burger_Project-Sydney_New_South_Wales.html#

Sorry maybe I need to stop comparing, but when you find a good burger and fries stick to it. Too bad no Five Guys in Sydney, they don't know what they missing. I got the Outback Burger which was small and flavorless, my Hubby got the Deluxe Burger it had a big beet on it, I've never seen that before, that was different. He wasn't impressed with his either. We also got Fries(Chips) is what they call them with a Soda. The Burgers are ridiculously overpriced we paid $39 for Burgers that weren't fulfilling. And they surcharge you $1 for using your Credit Card, because they don't accept American Cash, seriously who turns down American Cash?
