First the service was excellent. We got there when it opened, so it wasn't too busy, but it seemed like whenever I wanted to order something, Ye (our server) showed up. So I checked out Grill Nine after it went through management change and concept switch to AYCE.. Everything still looks the same when you walk in but there are some glaring differences once you get started. First, as this is AYCE, you must now cook your own meat. This doesn't really bother me because I enjoy doing this BUT the grills are not the best quality so it burns quickly and needs to be changed out often (even if I'm cook unmarinated meat first) I did enjoy the large menu and the amount of offerings although I didn't really take advantage of the sushi. I'm not a huge fan of mixing my sushi and KBBQ even though that is a huge trend in Vegas. The unmarinated meat was really good and pretty good quality for all you can eat. Wagyu brisket, boneless short rib, and wet aged pork belly were my favorites. I was not a fan of the marinated meat. We ordered the marinated short ribs (galbi) and it was really bland. Very little marination. Which is actually more authentic and how they do it in Korea. But I literally got back from Korea two weeks ago and I still found this to be bland. Almost would have preferred it unmarinated so I could dip it in the salt instead. The mul naengmyun also had a strange medicinal taste to it so I was not a fan of that. Lastly, the music was SO loud. It felt like we were in a club, which is fine but didn't feel like the vibe we were looking for. Overall the place is okay. I wouldn't seek it out again on my own but also wouldn't deter anyone from going. But I am really sad it's no longer Sookdal because that was great. read more

I went to Grill Nine with a party of five. Cheese scallop was exactly what it said on the tin, the wagyu nigiri was too chewy and tasted strongly of gasoline, I would recommend skipping this premium item. Their sushi was okay, the rice was a little cold and had a premade feel to it. The rolls they provide come in four, which is convenient to order just to taste. The uni and beef tartare quality was excellent and fresh. This was my favorite premium item by far! The corn cheese was good, the truffle fries did not taste like truffle at all. I think they thought we just ordered regular fries? The truffle jjapagetti also did not have any, I'd recommend skipping those if you're an afecionado of truffle. The naengmyun was pretty good, on par with what you'd get at an a la carte Korean restaurant. The beef quality itself at Grill Nine is good, my favorite was the bulgogi and brisket (out of the non wagyu items). Overall we had a good experience at Grill Nine, the service was quick and they did not forget any of our items despite us ordering a lot. After our fav usual K BBQ (has 3 numbers in their name) changed their menu recently, we decided to venture out to find our next fav AYCE K BBQ. And I think we've found it at Grill 9. The quality of the meats (esp the marinated ones) were amazing and flavorful and they had more side dishes and options on their menu for $49 with a $10 upgrade option to enjoy unlimited selections of the "one per person" dishes... simply outstanding since most of the 1 PP dishes are usually the best. The service was also excellent. Sonia was server and she was very attentive and provided us with solid recommendations since it was our first time here. This has become one of my favorite AYCE Korean BBQ places! First - service is amazing! They are so friendly, they are always there to take your order and it's just 100% awesome. This totally makes for such a great experience! They have a Classic Menu from 12-4, and 9-2am. If you're not super selective of the entire range of menu - this menu has everything you need: meats, sushi, apps, noodles and sides. Some of my favorites tonight: Buldak Noodles - wow - spicy but addicting! It's yummy! Yuzu Salad - super refreshing with a great Yuzu dressing. Nice portion each time! We came here late night around 10:30pm after getting out of a show. It wasn't very crowded when we went but the service was spectacular. We came here for not only the unlimited Wagyu beef but also for unlimited Korean raw marinated crab and sushi. It's really rare to find a place that can make soy marinated crab right but this place nailed it. It tasted fresh and not overly salty. The items came out very fast and the server was very attentive. I really wanted to love Grill Nine Korean BBQ. The reviews are great, the pictures look amazing, and we were honestly excited to try it. We joined the Yelp waitlist about 30 minutes ahead of time and showed up when it said to. When we checked in, they told us the wait would be a bit longer, but offered bar seating right away--which we were totally fine with. Service started off strong. Our server was friendly, quick with drinks, and super apologetic throughout the night. The issue was the grill... it just would not stay on. It took multiple attempts just to get it started, and then it kept going out over and over again. We had to flag someone down several times to relight it. They brought a manager over, tried different fixes, and eventually even moved us down the bar to a new spot. We appreciated the effort, but unfortunately the second grill had the exact same issue. At one point they switched us to an open mesh grill setup, which technically worked, but the flame was so direct that the meat cooked insanely fast and started burning and sticking. Even then, the flame still went out again. By that point, it just felt like the whole experience was off. We only ended up ordering two rounds of meat because it was hard to actually enjoy the meal with all the interruptions. To be clear--the food itself was good. The meat quality, sushi, and sides were all solid. And the staff really did try and were very apologetic the entire time. But when you're at KBBQ and the grill doesn't work, it kind of ruins the whole point of being there. At the end, it felt like they knew it had been a rough experience--there just wasn't really any effort to recover it, we paid and left. Overall, I'd give it 2 stars. Good food and nice staff, but a pretty frustrating experience that made it hard to enjoy the night. read more

We visited on Saturday with a party of 5 adults and 2 small children, for lunch, and it was a very nice experience. We were able to call for reservations, which helped with the large party. We arrived and were seated in a booth. For a party this size, it would have been nice if they had more than one grill. The server arrived and took orders. Their margaritas are nice and strong. We ordered multiple appetizers including Tuna and Salmon Carpaccio, Edamame, Scallops with Uni & Caviar, Egg Rolls and several sushi rolls. All were well prepared and tasty. We selected the Signature AYCE menu, which included Wagyu meats. The meats were very high quality and the banchan was delicious. We had a large group on a Saturday night that all wanted to sit together and the hostess was very accommodating and we only waited 45 min for them to get multiple tables all together. After talking to our waiter, Gun about how we were a bit overwhelmed with the large menu choice he walked us through the greatest hits and after gaining our consent did his version of Chef's choice. It was all so amazing. The service and the food. The quality of the meat was top notch and the fact that it was all cooked over real charcoal was the icing on the cake. We came here for Korean BBQ AYCE and got the signature AYCE option -- highly recommend going with this one. For around $50, the quality of the meat is honestly so worth it. Everything tasted fresh, well-cut, and premium compared to typical AYCE spots. There are so many items on the menu that we didn't even get to try everything because we got full so fast. The variety is amazing. For meats, we ordered the rib finger (no marinade), special cut short rib (bone-in), ribeye, short rib, and boneless short rib. We also got the Bibim Naengmyeon and it was really flavorful. Overall, this is one of those places where you leave feeling like you got way more value than what you paid. For AYCE you have two ways to do it: premium with every thing offered or the one below with no Wagyu. Might as well go for the best. The servers don't just service one table but perhaps 5 checked on us, took our orders, cleared plates, brought another cannister of water and refilled the awesome meat dipping sauce. They were excellent and very helpful this being our first time there to give spot on recommendations on what to try. Only one male literally dropped an item on our table without saying what is was like all the rest. Our grill was changed without us asking. Try their daikon radish it's pinky purple very pickled and delicious. The three recommendations for sushi were out of this world yummy. Never enjoyed sushi so much. Update: Changing my rating from 5 stars to 2 stars I am extremely disappointed to have to update this review. We came back on New Year's Eve and everyone in our group left unsatisfied and wishing we had gone somewhere else. The service that night was fine. Otherwise, this would have been a one star review. Unfortunately, the food was the real issue. Every meat we ordered from the Wagyu section was absolutely not Wagyu. The texture was a chewy mess and nowhere close to the quality we experienced before. This place went from being the best KBBQ in town to the worst overnight in my opinion. I am not sure if they ran out of Wagyu or decided to substitute with lower grade meat, but what we were served was not even prime quality. The food was truly terrible. Another amazing AYCE place to eat delicious wagyu beef and sushi. The meat choices were great and you can tell that they have good quality meat . They have a lot of choices but you have to order everything one by one . I think that is what threw me off . Some AYCE places have a set that goes with everything like it includes sides, sauces and veggies. Nonetheless, it's all there but you have to order it. Most liked: scallop with uni and caviar, spicy raw marinated crab, tuna and salmon carpaccio The "signature meat" choice was awesome. It is on the expensive side but It was worth it! The special cut short rib bone in is a must try!! Altogether amazing and tastes delicious. Melt in the mouth meats and talk about sushi too. You get the best of both worlds It was a busy weekend and staff were running around but they made sure we had everything we need. Servers are attentive but special mention to GUN. Think we have found our new go to spot for kbbq. Came here to celebrate my mom's birthday. First time coming here and was recommended by friends that it's a good spot. Parking wasn't too hard to find a spot and when we arrived, we were seated pretty quickly. We came around 6pm without making a reservation. We were seated at a booth and we appreciated how spacious and clean the booths were. The premium ayce is $39 per person and the upgrade for the wagyu is $49. We decided to just do the $39 this time since we were good with the options provided. There is still a lot of choices for the appetizers, meats, sushi rolls, soup, noodles, and more. The bulgogi we got was pretty minced. Maybe a bit too minced for our liking. We got the brisket which was pretty good. The highlight were the marinated rib fingers and the marinated skirt steak. The skirt steak was so tender and melted in our mouths. We all raved about it afterwards as the highlight of the meal. I also ordered a dragon roll and a seafood Ramen. Dragon roll was 4 pieces and it was good. Seafood Ramen was yummy too. Not too spicy but definitely had a bit of kick to it. We also ordered some rice along with our meats. The sauce for the meats was also very good. It paired so well with the meats. My bf loved adding it to his rice too and we got some extra sauce refills. Our server, Martin, was so kind and had a bubbly personality. Other employees were also helpful and quick to serve and checked on our table to help clear the plates and refill our waters. We were looking for a new ayce bbq spot and decided to come to Grill Nine. They have a $39 option and a signature $49 option, with certain items that can only be ordered once. However for $10 more you can get truly unlimited orders of each dish. I highly think it's worth it since it even includes unlimited uni, scallop and caviar. In terms of the kbbq, the LA Kalbi was my favorite. I prefer the marinated but the non-marinated was also really good. Their house special dipping sauce was great and went with most of their meats. The staff was really friendly as well. Service was a bit slow but understandable since they seemed really busy that day. Grill Nine had me feeling like I walked in ready for a luxury Wagyu experience... and walked out like, "maybe my standards are a little too... Japanese?" First off, the place itself is actually really nice--clean, modern, and gives off that "okay this is about to hurt my wallet but in a good way" kind of vibe. I was READY. Now the meat... look, it wasn't bad. But for Wagyu? I was expecting that melt-in-your-mouth, life-flashing-before-your-eyes type tenderness. Instead, it was a little more on the chewy side. Not "fight for your life" chewy, but definitely "hmm... this cow had a gym membership" chewy. To be fair, I might be the problem here. I go to Japan a lot for Wagyu yakiniku, so my expectations are probably unrealistic at this point. I've been spoiled. This is what happens when you've had the VIP treatment--now everything else feels like economy class. Service was a bit slow too. There were a couple moments where my grill was just sitting there empty like it was waiting for me to reflect on my life decisions. But the place was busy, so I'll cut them some slack--they were definitely hustling. Overall, still a solid spot. Nice atmosphere, decent food, just didn't quite hit that Wagyu dream level for me. Sonia was our server and she gave us exceptional service!!! The meat was good quality and the sides (japche, potato salad, kimchee etc.) Was very good. My usual go to spot is 888 Japanese bbq, however I feel like this ranks just as good or if not close. Even better because there's little wait time. There is 2 all you can eat menus I got the $39 , the other is $50 with wagyu selection, more soups, noodles and sashimi. I really enjoyed my meal, especially how clean it is too. We were famished after a long day and driver to try out this newer place near H-mart. Location is in the same plaza as Hmart, so lots of parking, but busy. The restaurant has a sophisticated upscale feel to it but not pretentious in the least. We were quickly seated, the host let us know we got there at the perfect time before the dinner rush. We went to Grill Night for Korean BBQ one evening and will definitely be back. The table setup and ordering system is honestly amazing. Having the meats brought out on one side and the appetizers on the other, along with the grill warmer, made everything feel very organized and hassle free. There was plenty of space for empty dishes, and we didn't have to keep shifting things around while eating. They also paced the food really well. The grill worked great and never needed to be changed, which was a big plus. We went with the premium AYCE option and were happy with the variety of specialty items.
