I decided to get one last opinion before spending thousands of dollars, and I'm so glad I called Neighborhood Heating & Air Conditioning. David, the owner, came out personally and immediately impressed me with his professionalism and honesty. He took the time to diagnose the actual problem instead of jumping straight to the most expensive solution. He explained everything in a way that made sense, corrected the issue, and before long my system was blowing cold air again. What stood out the most was his integrity. At no point did I feel pressured or like he was trying to sell me something I didn't need. He simply fixed the problem and got my family comfortable again. If you're looking for an HVAC company that values honesty, knowledge, and treating customers the right way, I highly recommend David and Neighborhood Heating & Air Conditioning. They turned a situation that had me completely stressed out into one with a simple solution. Every time an HVAC person comes to your home, you're almost offering a blank check because they can say something is majorly wrong and, as a homeowner, we have no way to verify. Once the issue was so minor that he simply charged a trip fee. Another time, again, minor cost and he took care of it in about 45 minutes. The other time we needed a new upstairs unit (it was almost 20 years old, so that made sense). Cost was VERY reasonable. All three times, the issues were fixed. We've had plenty of terrible experiences in the past with AC services - up-charging us, pressuring us into useless system upgrades, you name it. Charles came by and it was a completely different experience in comparison. This guy was a godsend. Clearly communicated the issues and the potential solutions. We brainstormed a few different solutions together, taking cost and time constraints into account, and ultimately settled on a new system along with a few other things. Charles wasn't even trying to sell us on a new system and wanted to make it work without the upgrade. He clearly had our interests at heart. But when I asked for a quote and saw it wasn't bloated and within budget, it became a no brainer to do the upgrade. This has got to be the first HVAC company I've worked with that doesn't operate like a bunch of used car salesmen. The price was shockingly reasonable, the quality of their work was phenomenal, communication was on point, and the service was top notch. They have a new customer in me for life.
