James was very knowledgeable and helpful with what was the best choice for us. Cris did the install and all I can say is he really knows his trade - excellent! Griffin Plumbing just completed the big project of repiping our whole house, and we can't say enough good things about this company and everyone we came in contact with from start to finish. First, the same day I called, they sent one of their top technicians, James C., out to evaluate the problem (copper pipes failing under our slab foundation). Before James left, we had a plan in place, knew the costs, and had a start date set. Second, we were very impressed with the 3 reliable, trustworthy, hard working, and knowledgeable technicians working daily on this project - Cris Sisneros, David Mercado, and Frankie Hamlin. Our unique architecture presented some challenges to moving the plumbing into the attic, but Cris S. was an expert problem solver and came up with thoughtful solutions. Under Cris' leadership, the team made the process less painful for us. Third, there was always clear communication from Cris, as well as the Griffin office staff (Elizabeth) who checked in with us everyday. Jose did a great job. We had a tree root crack the PVC pipe going into our water meter. He removed the offending tree root and replaced the section of pipe, explained all our options/how they would effect the estimates and what else might need to be checked (in case of damages further down the water line.) Extremely nice guy, good work, answered any questions I had. Price was probably not the cheapest around, but it wasn't awful by any means - and it's good to know it's done properly (and with a multiple year warranty on top of that.) Definitely pricey so buyers beware. Likely good quality but here's what happened. I needed to replace my garbage disposal - over $1000 for an aluminum one (called top of the line...) next tier down $750 for copper one (told it'll rust in 5 years) and if I wanted to buy one to have them install $500. I paid the $90 baseline cost for their time and sent them on their way. You will not get prices over the phone. My feeling is that the plumber saw I was a single female and increased the prices. He asked me how long have "we lived" here and if he would just be dealing with me from the start so I feel like he was assessing my situation. I can't imagine anyone paying this but maybe I'm wrong, hopefully this helps the next person. read more

My son works for a well known Co. in Fargo, ND and he looked at my price and told me that Griffin is not overpriced for the work and service you get! I always say, You get what you pay for. We are very satisfied with everything they have done for our home. New hot water on demand was put in runs better than the one the home came with. He was friendly (even to our curious dog) & let us know when he would arrive, go to lunch & when he would be leaving each day. Once at our house, he went right to work and was diligent in performing duties throughout the day. Initially, he had a coworker assist him but thereafter he was on his own. He regularly showed us and explained what he was doing. He gave us advanced notice when the water was going to be off & for how long. He was conscientious, consistent and displayed his problem solving skills when he ran into beams, electrical, heating vents & old piping.
