Verified Untappd venue (iykyk), with what seems like endless taps and an even more impressive selection of cans/bottles. Bartenders are pretty damn knowledgeable about the product as well, which as a beer nerd is perfect. The food is fantastic. From appetizers (the fried vegetables are heaven) to entrees, it's the perfect amalgamation of classic bar food and Indian cuisine. Today when I was in I had the Taphouse (Lamb) Burger with fries and a side of their Makhani sauce (Pic attached). If a place has a lamb burger it's my immediate go to every time, and I have to say Taphouse has the best I've ever had. The lamb was cooked and seasoned perfectly, the vegetables were fresh, and that feta is that perfect accompaniment to round it off. The Makhani sauce is just good on everything. Could drink it. Not kidding. The venue offers a welcoming outdoor area and a semi-private indoor space perfect for events. I've booked Taphouse for both corporate and personal gatherings, and it's the easiest, most reliable spot in the County for hosting by far. Beyond the food and drink, Taphouse, and especially Sunny (the owner) are one of the most community engaged businesses in Southern Maryland. They have put on countless events supporting all types of local organizations, and always work with nonprofits when they need anything. Taphouse and Sunny himself really serve as one of the best ambassadors of St. Mary's County, especially since a large portion of the customers are transient. All in all, 100% a must try if in the area. But be warned, if you do, you will be coming back constantly.

The meal came out pretty quick and the wings were good and the fries were cool but tasty. I ate 6 wings and needed a refill on my soda to finish the other 4 but the server was too busy to even stop by my table. A couple came in and sat close to me and she took their order and served them drinks, still nothing for me. A family of 3 came in, ordered their meals, finished, and paid their check, still no refill for me at the 25 minute mark. The server cleared some table, got other tables refills, but still never came by my table. At about the 35 minute mark, she finally came by and asked if I wanted dessert, even though there were still wings on my plate. I politely said no and told here that I needed a refill before the family of 3 even sat down. You would think that she would have apologized right? Nope, she just handed me the pad to pay for my meal and asked if I wanted a drink to go. I said no, paid the bill and even tipped her and walked out. The food and service is usually great, but this took the cake. I'm not sure if it's just he younger generation or what, but that's the last time I'll go there.

My wife said it was pretty good food, but also a bit expensive (her work had brought some food in from there previously). She ordered the fish & chips, I had a bacon cheeseburger. Food was great, good portion size, tasted like it should. The only thing that was even slightly negative was that I ordered a Stone Hazy IPA, and it was only 12 oz. Generally expect a full pint when it's on tap... 12 oz is for cans. But with two beers (wife ordered a cider that was really good) and two entrees, the whole meal was still only $46, before tip. So it ended up being a good value.

Wait staff was friendly. We ordered crab cake, she crab soup, fish and chips, cheese pizza, and draft beers. Crab cake at $33 was a good size, with healthy lumps here and there, and well seasoned. The sides of slaw and fingerling potatoes that came with it were good. Pizza was cheesy with good crust. The she crab soup could use a little more crab meat, and peas and carrots BUT the fish and chips was underwhelming and could use more seasonings and less time in the frying pan. It was just dry to my taste (meh) and the 2 pieces were small. The side garden salad that came with it were flimsy shreds of iceberg and 3 overripe and soft cherry tomatoes.

Mind you, I've had fantastic cheesesteak subs in Philly (home of the cheesesteak) and was not prepared to give very high marks for this rendition. But thankfully, the thinly-slices ribeye was cooked just right, the sautéed onions added the savory flavoring that only onions can provide and the Fit Tire Beer added to the liquid Orange cheese (Cheez Whiz or a variant) really added a unique cheesy flavoring. The roll was not seeded, but it was soft and held the meat and cheese together just fine. I only added a little salt and pepper because I do like my cheesesteak meat with some seasoning. After only 2 bites, I could tell this cheesesteak was a good one! I am going to try other items on the Greene Turtle menu now that I've sampled their cheesesteak sub! The waitress was friendly, engaging and very pregnant, but she did not appear to be uncomfortable and was attentive to our needs. The volume of the music from the overhead speakers was just a touch too loud, so much so, that waitress had trouble hearing my order, so I had to stand up slightly and talk louder than usual to make sure she could hear my order. Bottom line, the cheesesteak was tasty and satisfying and now I've found good purveyor of the cheesesteak!

The breading had basically no seasoning tho, so you really relied on the sauce. I could have eaten a whole plate of these Fish was moist and I could actually taste the pecans! Bread tasty too.
