Prices are very reasonable so I have gotten both 45 minute walks and 30 minute walks. My dog is a 6lb pom-chi mix. He has lots of anxiety and gets depressed whenever we have to leave him for extended periods. The first time we used this service, we left him with my brother and went on a trip out of state. Normally, he doesn't eat or poop when we leave him like this for a few days. However, he absolutely loved his walks with Ashley and my brother told us he ate and had a regular bathroom schedule! We got daily reports from Ashley and pictures with detailed information on if she gave him treats and his activities/pace during the walk. It was heartwarming to see our little guy being cared for while we were away. Because this was so great, we used the service again when I had to travel out of town. My husband was home but had to work really long hours so we had Marsha take Rockie for his afternoon/evening walks. Again, we got detailed reports and our little guy was very happy (evidenced by his regular eating and bathroom schedule). We also have a doorbell camera that automatically took a couple of 20 second videos and seeing how kind and caring Marsha was with our baby really put the icing on the cake! We have never trusted anyone besides family with our little guy before we found Run My Dog!! They are the best, they genuinely care about our pets! We feel so much better now about taking some time to travel, knowing our baby will be in good hands! We interviewed a few dog sitters that just weren't interested in working with a dog with "issues", but Thomas took on the challenge and we are the lucky winners of his doing this. I can't thank him enough for now letting us have vacations again and not having to worry about Carter at the Kennel (he never was happy there) or at home alone with just some one letting him out. He had 6 mile walks, lots of TLC and supervised play dates. Giving us peace of mind to enjoy our vacation. Jackie the owner is not only an animal rescuer but she has given her services for free at the Animal Shelter in Alexandria to the incoming animals that were badly in need of a grooming to help make them feel better and become more adoptable! I have had Yorkie all my life along with other dog breeds and cats. Jackie has groomed all of them. If Jackie was unavailable I used the other groomers and they all did a stellar job. But back to the Yorkie breed! They are prone to have luxating patellas. That is where the knee cap goes in and out. No groomer can cause that to happen! Yorkies cannot even get Pet Insurance to cover it! They are that prone! Some of these reviews are just plain hateful, I have to wonder how these people can sleep at night!!!

We had to have Melissa help us physically get Maggie inside. Alan greeted us. We sadly left her. Alan said she did well after we left. Later, we picked her up with a treat. Today, I called Melissa and asked if Maggie and I could pop in for a positive treat. We arrived. Maggie saw the special treat and we walked into the business with ease and a smile. Melissa greeted Maggie with a treat and kindness. Maggie trotted back to the car with success, pride, and happiness. Thank you, Melissa for your extra kindness yesterday to our scared girl. He had been exhibiting signs of jaw pain recently and had been examined by a specialist he sees monthly and then by his regular vet soon after. Neither could find any obvious problems. On Tuesday of this week, he suddenly began salivating profusely and I strongly suspected a dental issue. My regular vet clinic (where I have been going for 22 years) couldn't fit us in for a dental cleaning anytime soon, so I immediately began searching for a clinic that could do an emergency cleaning. Some had no openings while others said they had no staff for that procedure. I struck out at nine places before broadening my geographic search and thankfully discovering Hayfield. Dr. Watson examined my dog and did bloodwork the next day (Wednesday), and I took him back today (Thursday) for the cleaning. His bloodwork was ready for me to review when I arrived early this morning. Dr. Watson is knowledgeable, skilled, patient, compassionate and communicative - all the things you want in a veterinarian - and even though we had just met, I felt as though my dog was in very good hands. She called me during the procedure to let me know that everything was going well and to ask a question and then called back to let me know that he was coming out of anesthesia and give me a pick-up time. The staff were all kind, helpful and compassionate, too. I am so grateful and relieved to have found Hayfield - especially during what I thought was an emergency. From beginning to end, my experience was wonderful, and I will happily recommend Hayfield - and Dr. Watson - to anyone looking for an excellent veterinarian and clinic.

They do not force your dog to do anything they are not comfortable with. Our dog Harry is reluctant of needles, he gets very skittish about the whole process. They proceeded with caution and didn't give up but also did not make Harry more afraid of needles or force him. They take the time and attention to both you and your pet. If you have concerns they thoroughly help you through them. Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to our sweet Cupcake. This vet went above and beyond. Obviously this was and still is very difficult for us but again their compassion really shined through. You can definitely tell they actually care about the animals they are treating. I am so grateful to have them as a vet and I would recommend them to anyone.
