So after having great service on MegaBus from Omaha to Chicago a few weeks ago, I decided to take the MegaBus from Riverside to Las Vegas and meet my wife and in-laws on their way back from visiting my son at college. I planned the trip from my house using Metro to Riverside then off to Vegas baby. At this point, your thinking; uhh, do you know you are rating Greyhound Bus lines? Well, here is what happened, I did not reserve my seat until the day of and you guessed it, by that time MegaBus was sold out. So I needed to find an alternative and I had heard about BoltBus, a Greyhound subsidiary. Unfortunately, there were no Bolt Buses leaving in the time frame I needed so I looked up Greyhound. Greyhound service was twice that of BoltBus and MegaBus. On top of that, I could only catch Boltbus in Union Station and I had no desire to go to LA although I would still like to try the service one day. So I have to go to San Bernardino to catch this regular bus, although it did have hook ups and WiFi [again, very very slow]. I am a big guy and my ass was sitting on the seat belt buckle for four and a half hours. I had to squeeze into the little guy sitting next to me. Although from his reaction, he looked like he was cold and I am a big heater [just sayin]. I think it will take a week to forget the pain my ass is in. I still feel the belt buckle latch!!!! We got off to a bad start because we were waiting on another bus to bring 5 more people. We ended up leaving an hour late. We skipped our stop in Barstow so we were only 15 or 20 minutes late to Vegas. Next time I will wait for the next MegaBus or Bolt bus and I WILL PRE-ORDER MY TICKETS WITH PLENTY OF TIME! Wan't super bad for a short trip but I don't think I could handle more that 4 hours on this bus. read more

My sister had passed away in New Mexico her husband did that to her. I needed to get my nephews over to California to me. They are 13 and 16 years old I bought them two tickets and unfortunately detectives needed to talk to them through the investigation as they are witnesses so I needed to cancel my tickets or push them until they're released from questioning. I called Greyhound and asked them nicely and I explained to them the situation. They said it's gonna be a $373 cancellation fee and I told them can I push the date maybe I'm not sure when they could be done there's a ongoing investigation ,I'm not sure.... they said it would be an extra hundred dollars plus a cancellation fee of $373. I wouldn't recommend this place at all no compassion no empathy not even understanding. Nobody spoke good English and I was hung up on the first time I called. read more

People in there are to rude i ask for help and nobody help me he told me he can't help me

Greyhound Horror Story - DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE (Zero stars if I could) This was the most disgraceful, inhumane, and unprofessional travel experience I've ever endured -- and I say that without exaggeration. I traveled round trip from California to Texas with my elderly grandmother, who suffers from joint pain and stiffness. What we thought would be an affordable and reliable option turned into a complete nightmare. Let's start with the bus itself: the photos and promises on Greyhound's website are blatant false advertising. The buses are old, uncomfortable, and falling apart. The seats barely recline, legroom is non-existent, and the ride becomes unbearable after just two hours. The WiFi was a joke, the outlets didn't work, and the air conditioning came and went as it pleased. The onboard restroom was disgusting -- more like a portable toilet in a junkyard than anything acceptable for human use. We experienced multiple delays, driver no-shows, and long, unexplained waiting periods at dirty terminals -- all while Greyhound offered zero communication or support. Stops for food were limited to 10-15 minutes at gas stations, where passengers were forced to choose between grabbing a bite or using the restroom. But none of that compares to what happened on the ride back. Our bus began overheating and breaking down in El Paso. The driver told everyone to unload because a replacement bus was on the way. That was a lie. After waiting inside the terminal for over three hours, we were finally informed that the driver had canceled and there would be no replacement bus. Worse -- the station was closing, and we were told we would have to wait outside, overnight, with no shelter, no hotel voucher, no food, no water, and no support. My elderly grandmother and I were left outside, stranded, for nearly 15 hours. Even then, we were told the next morning's bus might not have space for us -- and still, no guarantee of a refund. Greyhound left us homeless, hungry, and unsafe. This company should be ashamed. They have no business operating in the travel industry if this is how they treat people -- especially vulnerable passengers. If you're considering Greyhound: don't. Pay more. Fly. Drive. Walk if you have to. But do not trust this company with your time, your money, or your safety read more

This weekend took the bus from LAs Vegas too San Bernardino, I had to transfer buses in Montclair, I was dropped off on a dark street and had to wait a hour for the next bus to pick me up, I was by myself no place too wait no security guard, it was so scary, how do they just drop women off like that, I will never take that bus again..... read more

I would give them no stars if I could. In early May my car was forced off the I-15 just outside of San Bernardino. I believe it was a case of attempted insurance fraud. I had barely managed to extricate myself when a young man showed up to help. I thought, that was fast. I grabbed my computer, purse, phone, and a small personal bag. I went to the back of the car to get my suitcase, when I saw another man pick up and steal my things. Then I watched my car go up in flames. My nephew in San Diego paid for a Uber to take me to the Greyhound station. I arrived at about 8:15 a.m. The woman at the counter would not help me with the process for my nephew to buy me a ticket. About 1:45 and older gentleman saw me and started a conversation. He said he rode Greyhound all the time, and she could print me a ticket. He approached the desk with me, and told her he knew she could help me. He bought me a burrito and a bottle of water. She said that my nephew needed to buy a ticket online, and then she needed his name, his email address, and the booking number. WHY could she not have told me that almost 8 hours earlier? I am disabled and was in severe pain. I looked like a transient, yet my car had ended up in a dirt and gravel area. I had I had nothing. After she had printed the ticket, which had the time of 2:09 p.m., she told me I better walk fast because that bus left from the downtown station. There was a map on the ticket, but it did not show where I was at the Greyhound station. She would not tell me. The bus loaded at 2:35. After I got directions, it was a 24 minutes walk I discovered. I want as quickly as I could, yet obviously missed the bus. By then, I had been up 28 hours. My mind started to not function at peak level. I ended up being on the streets for another 24 hours. A woman alone should never have been where I was. One man told me when I was lost and walking after dark that I had no idea of the evil thoughts in his mind. I don't know how the words came to me, but I looked him in the eye and said, "But you are not going to hurt me." Amazingly he didn't. I would offer people a dollar, because another bus passenger had given me a few, and ask them to call my nephew. No one would until a mixed race man on a bicycle went by me and then turned around. It was about 1:00 a.m.. I think he figured out I didn't belong there. He asked me what I was doing there, and I told him. He handed me his phone, I was able to call my nephew. He paid about $200 to get me to his home in San Diego. The man on the bicycle told my nephew where I was, because I did not know. I arrived at about 3:00 a.m. . When I awoke later that day, I could not walk. My arms shook like I had palsy. I traveled on my knees until I could stand and balance. It has been over a month, and I still have not been able to regain the strength I have before. read more

I recently travelled by bus (Flixbus/Greyhound) from Palm Springs, CA to Phoenix, AZ. I was a bit shocked to learn that the bus pickup location (the one closest to Palm Springs) is at a Chevron ExtraMile gas station (not a bus or train station). I don't understand how our transportation laws permit such a thing. For a major transportation service like Flixbus (part of Greyhound) to not provide a safe and suitable pick-up location for passengers seems very irresponsible and likely a health and safety risk for potential riders. There was no place to sit down at the gas station pick-up location and no shade or shelter of any kind. And this was in the desert! I stepped inside the gas station convenience store for a few minutes while waiting for the bus to arrive and I chatted with the gas station manager who told me they have reached out to FlixBus/Greyhound on many occasions and got no response regarding why they chose that location for passengers to board the bus. He said that on more than one occasion (high heat or a rainy day) passengers have had to all pile into the convenience store for shelter while awaiting the bus. It's very kind of the gas station staff to help the bus customers, but it really should not be their responsibility. When the bus arrived, passengers had to walk across gravel/sand with their luggage to reach the bus from the gas station. The driver was rude and dismissive to the passengers. He told people to "put your luggage in the storage area unless you want to be uncomfortable on the bus" and offered no assistance (even to elderly passengers) and no ticketing system for the bags. The seats on this Flixbus were extremely narrow with virtually no legroom. When I purchased my seats, I paid $20 extra for an additional seat (an option made available when purchasing tickets) and I was assigned 2 specific seat numbers for the journey. The driver ignored the seating reservations and told people to sit anywhere (creating confusion and awkwardness for those of us who had purchased an additional seat for extra comfort). So, I did not get the seats I purchased and ended up sitting at a very restrictive table (intended I think for people who wanted to eat something on the bus during the trip). It was probably the most uncomfortable seat on the bus. Free Wi-Fi was promised but was not available. The bus made one stop in Blythe, CA (also at a gas station) and if passengers wanted to get food at the nearby fast-food restaurants, they had to move extremely fast in order to make it back to the bus within the quick 20 minutes allowed. By the time I arrived at my destination, I was sore and exhausted and absent-mindedly left the bus without retrieving my extra bag that was in the cargo area. The bag was never recovered. While I am at fault for not collecting my bag, I can't help thinking it might have been returned to me if Flixbus had a more systematic way of tagging and handling the baggage. I canceled the return leg of my bus trip and flew back to Palm Springs. Flixbus did not provide me with the option of a refund - only a "voucher" to use on a future trip. Trust me, after my horrendous experience I don't intend to ever ride on Flixbus/Greyhound again. read more

Absolutely horrible, had to cancel plans due to delays, rude and deceptive staff/managers

So I went on a trip to Arizona and decided instead of driving and dealing with the traffic I would take the greyhound. First we had a medical emergency which I totally understand. But once boarding I went to get my seat and a guy was in my seat so I let him know I paid for this seat and he proceeded to tell me... that he was sitting here and I could go find another seat. I politely told him I paid for this one and he said well I paid for two in the back and a girl is in mine so you go kick her out and you can take mine in the back, you can have both! I told him I didn't pay for that one I paid for this one and I would like my seat and he said he ain't movin and I can go talk to the bus driver because she isn't enforcing seats!! Wow... ok so she says just so search for another we aren't doing this today!! So, I asked even though I have this seat under my name he can kick me out and I have to "SEARCH" for another?!?! Yeah, she replies... go find another one!! Wth... I finally found one. Which should not have happened!!!! I am really irritated at this point... I was not able to relax at all the whole ride! This driver did not know who to drive! I am ABSOLUTELY NOT SAYING THIS DUE TO THE FACT THAT A PASSENGER AND THE DRIVER PUNKED ME OUT OF MY SEAT... NOR AM I SAYING THIS DUE TO THE FACT THAT WE WERE A FEW MINUTES SHY OF TWO HOURS LATE... which GREYHOUND CAN LOOK UP AND VERIFY!!! The driver decided to take an extra long lunch during our stop!! So to make it she drove the bus like she stole the darn thing!! No joke a few times my entire body slid forward towards the seat in front of me. Tightened that seat belt even tighter! Another time if I wasn't in the seatbelt I would have ended up in the aisle floor I'm surprised something didn't get knocked over!! I know they should be able to check into her driving somehow!! That was ridiculous!! She even had her daughter on that bus ride for the entire trip and she drove like that!! Obviously she doesn't care! So I never left the bus once I boarded it but I did go to the restroom and left my backpack on my seat, and somehow my sunglasses came up missing. I tried to see if someone turned them in but they kept them. That so sad because I tried to call and there is absolutely no way to talk to anyone. I tried to file a complaint about the ride and no one would call me back. The return trip how was the total opposite... that driver made people sit in their seats. No questions asked... he was on it!! I felt relaxed and at ease. However, I really doubt I will travel with this company again. You allow passengers and drivers to bully people out of their seats, don't follow up with complaints, allow your drivers to arrive 2 hours late, and drive like a crazy person!!! Ummmm... NO!!!! I Would rather walk!!!! A refund would be nice!!! I'm going to find out who watches these drivers for their safety because you guys obviously DONT!! read more

If I could give them a zero, they would get it, I have had nothing but problems with these people one of their customer service representatives told my nephew that wasn't his bus, it was, then they wanted to charge $150 to rebook it and now that he finally got on it now they're telling me instead of picking him up in Riverside they're not stopping in Riverside. They're stopping in Los Angeles and my luck I'll go to Los Angeles to pick him up and he'll stop in Riverside, nothing but problems for the past week with these people they need to get it together read more

Avoid this place! Had to come here for a connecting bus through FlixBus service to Vegas & ended up waiting 5 hours instead of 2. The staff was so incredibly rude, didn't care to help & a man (staff member) didn't hesitate to raise his voice at my mom when he wasn't even being asked a question. Seriously do yourself a favor...just fly, drive privately, or EVEN walk for weeks to avoid this place & these employees! read more

If I could give this place a negative star I would. mi mother who is a widow elderly lady was put on a direct bus from Denver CO on bus number 1638. In there stop this morning in Las Vegas they had to transfer to another bus, my mom had a few bags an luggage, no one helped her and she put a few items on the bus as she went to get the rest, the bus driver put her bags on the curb and left her. Now she has to wait for another 5 hours to get another bus coming to Los Angeles. This is totally uncalled for!! Who ever that driver was I hope they never treat your mother that way. You fool! read more

Let me tell you what happened to me on Monday 10/28/19 on bus 86837. Confirmation number 42670752. I planned on taking a Greyhound from Las Vegas to Anaheim. Well my bus driver executed some interesting maneuvers earlier in the trip which I'll get to later, but for now let me explain what happened when we got to San Bernardino. Our bus left the station, but couldn't drive faster than 5 miles per hour. So we barely made it out of the station, and the driver gets out and is on the phone. They decide to drive the bus all the way around the block to attempt to take it back into the station. Well it breaks down completely while making a turn about 3 quarters of a mile away from the station. They could have had us get out when the issue was discovered just outside the station, but nope let's keep the passengers on a crippled bus and drive around the block. So we make the walk back to the station and they tell us 12 passengers can continue to Los Angeles in the bus that was currently departing the station. Well that's great for those 12 people that were heading to LA, but the bus I was on was heading to Anaheim. The staff presented us a choice; wait for the next bus heading to LA and hope it had enough room for all of us, then catch another bus to Anaheim. Or wait for the next Anaheim bus which wasn't arriving for another 8 hours, and hope it had enough room for whoever was left. So I looked at my 2 horrible options that were maybe going to get me home 8+ hours after I was supposed to get home, and decided to see if there was any public transportation that could get me home faster. Luckily a mile away was the San Bernardino Transit Center. From there I caught a Riverside Transit Authority express bus that went straight to Disneyland for $3.50. So I myself saved my day as opposed to Greyhound doing anything to help me or it's other stranded passengers out. Now for the interesting maneuvers the driver made during the trip. Well she missed he turn for the first stop which I think is the South Las Vegas strip bus transit center. So she made an illegal left into a parking lot, then backed into the street while oncoming traffic was flying by. Next she missed the entrance for the 215 I believe, so she made an illegal U-turn across double yellow lines. She couldn't make it obviously, so again she had to reverse with traffic moving pretty quickly. Then we get to Barstow and she can't back the bus at an angle like all the other buses in the lot. So I kid you not a passenger had to get out and guide her into the parking spot. She of course backed into the yellow concrete barrier that keeps the buses from going into the train tracks behind the station. So needless to say I'm never riding a Greyhound again. That's what I get for being cheap. I should have just flown both ways instead of taking the bus back. I can't wait for the Vegas-LA Bullet Train to get built. read more

I've been coming here once a week in the past month to facilitate the transportation needs of my client & I must say the facility is nothing to rave about, in fact, its downright creepy but the staff are generally helpful & friendly. I give management credit for Effort. After all, It's not their fault that some of the users of this service are lacking any sense, especially in the hygienic department, but the staff are trying to do what they can with limited resources. And for that they get 3 stars. read more

Coming to this bus station was like something out of a video game. There were prostitutes soliciting their work and walking ALL AROUND the station looking for clients. Someone eventually stopped and one got a client. The motel across the street seems to be where they do the majority of their sex work. The area is REALLY bad, dirty, and is pretty rough regardless of the prostitutes. I would not come here alone whether you're a man or a women, especially at night. The station itself is very sketchy looking, inside and out. Do you remember that episode of Martin, when Martin and Gina were stuck in that bus terminal on Christmas by a blizzard? Yeah, it's like that. It's not clean per say but I was careful not to touch much and if I did, I sprayed my hands with sanitizer profusely. The vending machine didn't take my money, so I was able to get a snack. They do sell food behind the counter. The trash cans are gross. I didn't get a chance to see the restrooms as I didn't need to use them. The security guard was nice. The man at the front desk was the only sweet thing about this trip and I was very thankful for him. But, apparently, our bus was not only running late but was also cancelled midway into our trip. Mind you, this was my first time riding the Greyhound. They eventually got us on a bus for a transfer in LA. The bus was absolutely terrible. It smelled of male urine and feces. Ofc we got the seats directly behind the bathrooms. When we got to LA, there was an issue with 1 of 2 tickets. They said we didn't pay for 2 but I showed him 2 tickets. Eventually, he just let us on. The 2nd bus was much better. Although, it still stunk, but wasn't overwhelming like the last bus. And again, the only seats left were near the restroom. Our trip was supposed to take 6 hours to get to San Diego, but took about 3-4. read more

The bus was very late today from original station. I was transferred to San Bernardino from Claremont but the bus was not even there. The bus arrived 30 minutes late. And right now we just suddenly stopped at the middle of freeway and the driver said that the bus needs to be checked for maintenance? The driver said we should be patient. I've been waiting since 815 this morning, and she's asking for patience? The personnel at the front desks are rude and didn't know where the bus is and what time it's arriving. Can someone from the management or administration look on this severely poor service? We are stop here in the middle of freeway of 215 and I'm worried about our safety. Just to give update. We are still stuck at the freeway. 911 rescue came but they said we just need to wait. The lady driver is rude and not friendly. She said she doesn't know what time the vendor will come to fix the bus and she can't say what time or if there's a bus to rescue us and bring us to Vegas. This is ridiculous. This huge bus company has no emergency plan for situation like this. It's been an hour we've been waiting in this bus without air and water. read more

BWAHAHAHA, I couldn't wait to add a review for this greyhound. This has to be the most ratchet greyhound in the world. First off, the terminal is relatively small. There's barely enough room to house a line full of people in the Vegas bus line. Second, the ladies restroom doesn't have locks for their stalls, so you're basically holding the door while doing your business (how's that for multi-tasking?). Third, I've witnessed house roaches at this location. GROSS. Just know when you transfer or your bus picks people up from this location, you will encounter all of the I.E. ratchets. read more

My service dog kept trying to get I to the bus while I was trying to calm him down and the security guard had a smart remark to make saying, "your dog is smarter than you, he knows he has to stay on the bus". Man working for Greyhound bus told me to "shut the fuk up!" Perhaps Possibly, was mistAken for a child but NOT his CHILD. I'm going to be 50 yrs old this year. This incident occurred exactly February 24th, 2020 at 12:17 am. I got off my busfrom Indio, then got my bags and walked inside, I walked outside once with bags in hand to look for Vegas bus. The man in the florencent vest says Hey, hey HEY where are you going! I said back inside. His response was you can't hang out around here out side. I SAID NOTHING. Then I walked inside case I hear him say to a passenger," yes that is the Las Vegas bus". So asked the man who was standing inside in the Blue greyhound vest with badges on, is that the Las Vegas bus, his response was "does it look like I know where iVegas bus is? ". My response was, it looks like you work here. So, I walked out side the SECOND time cause I seen a man load into a Chicago bus. I asked loudly is that the Las Vegas bus? That's when the man in the florescent vest began yelling very loudly all the profanyitys at me. I suppose to asked the wrong person AGAIN. The outside staff/security in the florescent vest used words towards me yelling, such as " you know damm well that ain't the Vegas bus, yes I'm fukin talking to you, quit acting like a child". Several of the passengers witnessed all of this. I asked him are you talking to me like that. I was carrying a 50lb bag and a 25lb bag in each had trying to walk back inside. The same man yelling profanitys stepped towards me and got into my face yelling very loudly. GO BACK INSUDE YOU COME OUT HERE 3 TIMES, GO BACK IN THE ENTRANCE, YES I'M FUKIN TALKING TO YOU. MHE continued yelling looking at me through the window. The same man in the blue vest who said he did not know where is the Las Vegas bus is is driving the bus I'm in going to Las Vegas, So, unless the driver had a twin, the why did he suddenly say, "any one going to Vegas door 3" . NOW I KNOW WHY YOU HAVE 1 STAR. I W0N'T BE RETURNING HERE EVER. read more

The only cool thing about this place is the security guards. The bathrooms are gross, there aren't enough places to sit and does this place even have air conditioning? When I arrived here, it was to get on a connecting bus to Las Vegas. It was incredibly hot, there were 2 more buses connecting and another one scheduled to leave, so people were shoulder to shoulder for 30+ minutes. It was so incredibly irritating and we were given no direction of where to stand prior to boarding the buses. So when they called our gate and we were on the opposite side it took us FOREVER to get to where we needed to stand due to the lack of space, the obsurd amount of people and the luggage we were carrying with us. Not to mention, when I got on the bus I had to sit next to an obese person who took up one and a half seats while I struggled to find enough room to sit without touching her. Worst experience ever. I thought I was gonna get shanked in the parking lot both coming & going (thank goodness I carry a concealed weapon) and I was surprised to find my car still in the parking lot. I give it a 2 cuz I'm generous. read more
