I took a few rides on this service as I travel quite a bit to the airport. The first time I met…read morethe owner, who picked me up and drove me to the airport at 4:30 AM, completely on time and very friendly to talk with the entire way. I was the only customer. The next time I found out my flight was delayed till 2:00PM (from 5:20), which I did not know, but I called and she let me know. They know all the flight times, also, btw. Most of the staff was pretty good, but one or two were strange. I got a pick up from the airport to home, and the guy flashed me first with the 'tip screen' of his iPad. Before we even left the airport! He did not get out or even try to help anyone with their baggage, but always put the tip screen right in their face first thing. Another time, I got a pickup from a lady, whom I will call the 'conspiracy theory' lady. She was quite rabid (I'm being nice here) about politics, to the point of letting me know that our politicians may have been replaced by aliens. I 'got thru' but was kinda annoyed. Overall, I do enjoy the service. The card reader did not take my company credit card a couple times so I had to eat the $40 ride fee, but mostly it is good. If you meet the owner, you'll find she is very pleasant and agreeable to converse with, and definitely works to make your trip enjoyable. Oh, and the 'conspiracy lady' was let go for getting into an accident, which the 'tip first' guy told me.

My flight arrives, I gather my luggage and head out thinking there will be someone to pick me up instead I get a text asking me if 1:00 is my departure or arrival!! The driver then says she cannot take me and that I need to wait for the next flight to arrive and then I will be taken. I prearrange my pick up, if I was told ahead that I would need to wait no problem but to tell me in a text message!! Do not trust this company use Lyft or hire a cab you'll have way better service!!

She is a really nice hippy, stoner lady, but she lacks professionalism and follow-up. She was initially very helpful and flexible with the time she was to pick us up but when it came time for getting her to confirm that she would actually be there, she went AWOL. I waited for 15 hours the day before I left for my backpacking trip to get the confirmation VM that she would be able to pick us up. I never got it so I booked with the far superior "Lost Coast Shuttle (http://www.lostcoastshuttle.globathosting.com/contact_us.html)" Roxanne also charges 10 dollars more per person. Plus her group rates are more expensive.

Two enthusiastic thumbs up for Roxanne. Along the way, she drove safely and sensibly (which is more than I could say for some of the other drivers) and gave us lots of critical information along the way - tidal info, key trail points to look out for on our hike back, key issues about the lost coast trail that the guide info didn't provide. She also provided local color, telling us about the scene in Whitethorn and Shelter Cove. She was fun, easy going, and generally easy to deal with. All in all, a great experience. We'll be using Lost Coast Trail Transport again when we do the South end! Prompt, efficient, friendly and informative - all in all a great experience.

City Cab gave me a ride in the past to a surgery and to another medical procedure, and more…read morerecently too. It is uncertain why they would not let me take City Cab home. She was on time, and she would have walked me to my door after the surgery, but I was required to have a friend take time from their job to pick me up after surgery or from any procedure where I had to be asleep. Dealing with out of the country people answering the phone and seeing the bad reviews here I made sure I called three times to confirm in advance, including the day before. These out of the country answering services are difficult to understand, so one has to say each letter with a word. For instance, D for David, r for Randy, etc and ask them to speak slowly and precisely for us to understand their strong foreign accents. Then, I ask them to repeat each thing I say back to me. After the struggle with communications, if they arrived even 10 minutes late, I was prepared to drive myself in my own car and pay somebody to drive me to pick up my car the following day rather than be late. To my surprise it all went very smoothly, as it always did in the past with City Cab. Once the lovely and personable lady driving City Cab arrived exactly on time to pick me up, it was like night and day from the answering service in the Philippians or ?. This very nice City Cab driver seemed familiar to me. Perhaps I got this same excellent City Cab driver years before for a ride to another medical surgery or procedure. I will continue to use City Cab in the future. However, I will continue to confirm twice or three times before (always writing down each name ~ making them spell it) as I hate that the USA has outsourced our phone jobs to other countries making it more challenging for us to understand what they are saying.
