Dr. Peery's technique falls in the latter category. Which might be fine for younger folks with no previous injuries or arthritis in their joints. But for somebody who's been around the block more than a few times? After my second adjustment, I left with an intense headache. Then I got an earache, both of which lasted for the next three days. Plus my neck was very painful. (For some reason, he decided to adjust my ears in addition to my neck...the combination of which was very painful.) Never in my life have I had such an aggressive chiropractic adjustment. When I returned a week later and reported to him what I had experienced he got defensive, saying I should've returned sooner for another adjustment. Even I know that attempting to adjust already inflamed joints only makes the inflammation worse, thereby exacerbating the initial injury. I also indicated to him I had physical balance issues, which he attributed to my eyes not tracking with each other. Since then I sought a second opinion from both my optometrist and my ophthalmologist, both of whom checked and denied I had such a condition. Needless to say, I'm never setting foot in his office again. After waiting for a couple weeks until all the inflammation subsided, I then sought chiropractic care elsewhere with someone who worked WITH my body, where I got the relief I was seeking.

Dr Peterson is a true healer . I went to him with really…read morebad hip,knee ,ankle pain including sciticia pain running from my right buttocks through my hip and all the way down my leg to my foot . My pain level was at an 7 to 7 1/2 and this is with 50 MG of CBD 1 strength Tylenol. ( Without the meds I could not stand the pain and would cry and shake .) He took a detailed pt history and really listened to me and did not rush me. Then he had me lie on this table and started working on me. He is fully trained and certified in the activator method . ( many chiropractors use activators but are not trained and certified in proper use ) His treatment was much different, than any other chiro proctor I have ever been to it is very gentle. ( I have been going to chiropractors since I was 23 and I am now 69 ) . He worked on me for a good 30 minutes . When I got off then put my shoes on me as he did not want to twisting too much right away he wanted the treatment to settle in. I then drove to the Diary Qween and had an ice cream Cone as it was Free Cone day . I realized while eating my ice cream Cone that the scitica pain was about 90 percent gone !!! It was so amazing as I had been in high level pain for almost a year !! I slept well last night for once and still feel good today . I am going back for another treatment tomorrow . I am feeling hopeful that Dr Peterson can really help me and get me out of pain for long term with continued treatments. My goal is too be able to not need my cane anymore, and be able to go down to Rivefront Park and be able to walk the Sundial bridge and along the River once again . I had done all the exams, X-ray, and bone scans. All to fine out that I had out fracture in my back, spacing in the disc and degenerative bone disease. From my first doctors appointment to the soonest I could be seen by a back Specialist was 5 month. This was unacceptable! So, I called Shasta Spine Specialists and Summer at the front desk had made me an appointment within a couple of day. Upon first exam , I couldn't believe that I had waited so long to feel that relief. I could stand up a little straighter, and to have the back pain seemingly flush from my body was intense.
