While the haircuts here are good, the barbershop is not following COVID mask guidelines for staff or customers. My husband was getting his hair cut here this past week, and the mask wearing was totally sub-par. First, his barber was letting his mask slip from his nose. Then the owner came in and was not wearing a mask. Finally, another customer came in, loudly proclaimed he was unvaccinated, and didn't wear a mask. This could be a good place for kids, who don't really make their own decisions about their haircuts and for married men with a prominent belly who just want a haircut and don't really care about being as attractive as they can possibly be. But even so, why would someone pay $20 when he can get the same quality haircut for much less money? Yes, this is how much he charges which he does not deserve in my opinion based on his skills and demeanor. He give you a neat and symmetrical haircut as long as you let him do it his way and not request anything beyond his own idea of what a haircut should look like. And this is why I am giving him two stars. When I visited him I did not ask for anything crazy, I just asked for a classical gentlemen's haircut that you will see on many attractive famous men like Brad Pit. Flat on top, short on the sides. When he finished he gave me a mirror so I can see the back of my head. What I saw was that the back of my head had two colors because half of it had long hairs and and the other half was white because the skin was visible. It didn't look manly at all. this style would have been appropriate for a mama's boy who is a virgin until his marriage.I told him that I want him to make the upper part as short as the lower part and he tried to justify why this is not possible in this universe. For some odd reason it is possible at other barber shops that charge less than he does. I was stunned when he asked me to pay him $20 dollars. Besides the lack of skills, his demeanor was not good at all. He was profoundly annoyed by the fact that I asked him to correct the haircut and he was smiling fakely in an attempt to hide that he was upset. I don't like people who are ingenuinely polite. I have bitterly regretted that I visited his shop. read more

Quick note and possible correction. Greg's shop DOES offer hot lather razor shaves of your neck. You have to ask for it ;-) Greg is an excellent barber who works only with a scissors. I haven't seen that in years. The rest of the team does good work. No complaints. read more

The best haircutters around. Everyone does a great job. FIVE members of our family goes there, mom, dad, boys, even my 80 year old mother. Every hair cutter says hello when you come in and when you leave. They are consistently accurate and also tailor cuts to your needs and desires and even the season. Greg and Kornel are the NICEST guys imaginable: holds the door for people, patient with adults, children, young and old. Treats people like people, one at a time, never rushed. Also strategically located across the library and next to the infamous Dairy Bar for a quick ice cream cone, or root beer float after a cut... Or Joe's Donut just 2 doors down. This is what a classic barber shop should be. And they are very reasonably priced for what they do. I left the expensive salons to come here because they are THAT good. read more

This is the only place I have ever taken my son to that gives a consistently good haircut! It's totally worth the wait and slightly higher price than the chains. I was so surprised to read any negative reviews! I just got on yelp to see when they open and the negatives inspired me to write my first ever yelp review. Every employee at the barbershop has given my son a haircut at some point and they have all been excellent. I also appreciate that it's an independently owned business and that it has the feel of a true barbershop. You should definitely try out and support this business! read more

just today I had hair cut at this shop- my first one but for sure not last! we usually go to the city for haircuts, but my husband went here on a whim to try it out because he needed a haircut sooner than he could get to the city for. They did a pretty good job on his hair so i took my son over the weekend and was very happy with it. Greg was kind, and friendly, my son felt comfortable, and the price was great. He gave us exactly what we wanted, asking me a few times if the length and what not was ok with me - rather than just doing whatever he felt was best. I really appreciated that. I've been going to Greg's Barber shop for about 8 years. I like that they take appointments on Wed - Friday and other days are walk in. Good mix. They usually are running on time for their appointments. On walk in days I call ahead to determine if there is a wait or I get there early. If you get there right when it opens you usually have to wait about 30 min because there are some early risers that get there 15-30 min before the doors open. I've never taken by son there, but the customers are usually about 10-20% kids. Very friendly. Adult cuts run $20 before tip. read more

This is a great barber shop. It's hard to find one these days, but it is here. There are 4 barber. They take appointments and walk-ins Tuesday - Friday and walk-in's only all day Saturday. They are very friendly and do a great job. Haircuts are $17. read more

More expensive than others, but the whole crew is awesome. I have been a patron for years now and have never been disappointed. Staff turnover is low and people get to know you; from haircut quality point of view it won't matter because everyone in the shop is quite good. Tends to be busier on Saturdays and around holidays, so you'd be better off calling ahead at those times. read more

Not going back. This was the fourth time I've gone. The other 3 times my hair cut was OK. Not great, but serviceable: trim, shorter and neat. This trip I asked for the usual, thin my bushy hair a little, and a little shorter. What I got was almost a buzz. Definitely NOT what I asked for. When I said it was too short, I was told that I look good with my hair this length. That's code for we screwed up, but we're trying to sell it anyway. Definitely not going back, and will not recommend them. Give customers what they ask for, not what you want to do. read more

Just got my first haircut from Greg's Barbershop. Kornel was my barber, and I can honestly say that he gave me one of the best haircuts that I've ever received. The staff is super friendly and the shop is inviting. This is my first haircut in 6 weeks so the whole process took about 35 minutes. I got a 3.5 on the sides and a light trim on top. The bottom of my neck was done with clippers and the rest (sides and top) were all cut and blended with scissors. I asked for a hot lather neck shave - which they do have - and I believe it was $3 extra because I ended up paying $20 in total (not including tip) which was worth every penny. I was just amazed with how much attention to detail Kornel had, especially on my neck, which really gave me a nice clean-cut and tight feel. Great job! I will definitely be coming back for my next hair cut. read more
