They came out within a few days, did a nice job of assessing the situation and providing me with the raw materials, then they did about half the job (the easy half), then flat-out refused (nicely) to come back and finish it. said they had manpower problems. They charged me the full $1500 amount and their invoice reported that the job was completed. I spent $1600 and a lot of personal effort to complete the job myself. After failing to get any dialogue from them, I plan to pay the invoice to avoid further hassle. The price they pay will be this review! The following is a letter I wrote two months ago to the company that has all the details of timing and sequence. I never received a reply. I certainly will never ask them to do anything else for me. I waited a long time to write this review because I just COULD NOT believe that a reputable company would behave in this manner: Dear Nelson Electric: Please help me understand. Early December 2022, I asked you to to revise the lighting system in my shop from Fluorescent to LED. 'Twas a natural choice, because you wired and lit my shop in 2008 and did a really sweet job. The circuit box is a work of art. You sent a senior electrician and apprentice out Dec 13 and we had a good day. He surveyed the situation, did some research, gave me good advice, and brought all the bulbs needed. The difficult part was five 8-foot fixtures on a high ceiling that needed ballasts removed and circuitry restored before placing the 8-ft LED bulbs. Your team didn't have the necessary ladders/scaffold to reach the 3 difficult (16-ft high) fixtures, so they did the easier 2 and left me with the impression they would be back. I never got a call-back, so after about 2 months, I put a call into your general office, and eventually 2 calls to "Buddy," job scheduler? I emphasize all interactions were cordial and I think admirably honest, except for one thing: I THINK IT WAS JUST A DIFFICULT, LOW-PAY JOB AND NOBODY WANTED TO FINISH IT! Buddy told me during the first call that he would try to get the completion scheduled, but a couple weeks later during my second call, he was honest enough to tell me that he was having significant manpower shortage problems and he didn't think the job would be completed within 6 to 9 months, and when I asked if it would be appropriate for me to prep the work place and hire a friend independently to complete the job, he welcomed that option. I understand that. I've done my fair share of difficult jobs. But I don't really have a grasp on how a company with your reputation could start a job and verbally contract to finish it, then just blow it off. I got a bill for services invoice (attached) on December 17. It is my personal compulsion, my mission in fact, to pay such bills in full immediately upon job completion. But it is also my cautious character to avoid paying for jobs that have not been finished. The services and advice (and of course materials) that you provided were valuable to me. I'm not trying to get out of paying for that. But it cost me considerable $'s to buy and build a scaffold and hire a friend to complete the work and I think maybe some downward adjustment of your bill is in order. Unfortunately they are no longer taking service calls because the owner is having health issues. So then I tried Best Buy. The computer on the phone shunted me over to the geek team, where I waited for fifteen minutes listening to dead air. I get fed up and hung up, and then I tried Crise. I have to confess I was a little nervous about doing so because there was only one review here, and it was extremely negative. However, I called anyway, and am glad I did. I called yesterday and the phone was answered by a human, a definite good start. She asked me some very relevant questions about the oven and element and said she would call back within half an hour. Just about 25 minutes later she called back and said they could have the element shipped up from Des Moines and could be at my house the next day (today). She gave me two time windows in the morning (8:30 to 10:30 or 10:30 to 12:30; I picked the earlier). She then gave me an estimate, breaking down the total cost into the service call fee, the time and labor, and the cost of the replacement element. I agreed, and she said they would be offer between 8:30 and 10:30, and the repairman would call first. This morning, at around 8:10, I got a call from the repairman who said he could be at my house within ten minutes. I said that was great and he arrived right on schedule. He did the work promptly, and at the moment the oven now seems to be working fine. Of course, things may change in the next few days, and if so I will amend this review, but right now everything is great-- my oven is even preheating faster than usual, probably because the element is new. The total cost was even about 20 dollars below the telephone estimate. I was very impressed with every aspect of my interaction with Crise. Both the woman on the phone and the repairman were very professional. True, they are not cheap, but there was no bait and switch here: the price was thoroughly explained to me in advance (and, as noted, turned out to be a bit cheaper than the price that was quoted). I have only one mild suggestion: although just about everybody acts these days like Covid is over, it is not, and some of us senior citizens are at high risk for the disease. It would be nice if the serviceman carried a mask in his pocket and asked the homeowners if they would like him to use it. (To be fair, I could have asked if he had one, but did not.) But apart from this, I highly recommend this company; my experience with them was nothing like the first reviewer wrote about.

The owner (Kelly) walked around with me and took pictures of every area I specified. We discussed at length the volunteer trees that I wanted removed and he took photos and made notes on his phone. Their 'crew' showed up fairly late in the morning. A younger man asked for clarification on what was done and I did a second walk through with him explaining everything. Two of the four employees they sent were not very efficient. I took photos of them sitting on my front porch and not working (with times) and sent this to the owner. They also did not have loppers, I lent them mine. Unsure of why you wouldn't bring this on a landscaping job. Before they left for the day, they informed me of a paint spill on my driveway. Promised to return to clean it up but let it sit overnight. It's unclear as to why their employees are using paint cans as chalk blocks for trailers, but my driveway will never be the same. They 'completed' the job while I was not home so I was not able to speak to them about my concerns. Did not receive a call or message that they were done. They did not finish weeding the entire side of the fence or back part of the yard. I asked them to weed, place weed barrier, and mulch these sections. It was left weed whacked (but appears as if the operator has some vision issues... My 7-year old could have done a better job). When asked about why the job was not completed correctly, they claimed they did not know and would need to charge more money. Any invoices sent to us were not professionally done and did not outline individual line item costs so it's unclear how much they actually are charging for materials. Additionally, we tried to use them for snow removal service last winter. They did not show up once (and didn't call), and it took a poor Google review for them to show up any time after that. Considering their poor work ethic with my yard work, I won't be using them for snow removal or any other work around my property. Please be cautious when hiring this company!

I was told 'at most 2-3 weeks, probably less' to get an assessment on repairing a laptop fan error. Narrow margin in the worst case, but I can deal with 3 weeks before getting my data back. One business day before the three weeks were up, I called to figure out what was happening- the only point of contact that I had was a new hire at the front desk, who could only tell me that my file was empty, but assured me that the assessment could have started, and that she'd direct the tech to call me. The tech never called. On Monday, I called at 2 PM. This was foolish, as the 10 AM to 6 PM hours on the google listing actually mean 'you can only reach people at 10 AM', so the automated voice messaging system told me to check the google listing for the business hours that they update daily. Tuesday, three weeks and a day in. I called at 10 AM, and was put in contact with the manager, who apologized for the delay. They'd had a family emergency and were gone for a week, and the 2-3 week backlog had gotten worse- fair enough. They told me my assessment was more difficult than expected, but she'd call the owner and primary tech in and the assessment would be done Thursday. Thursday, I hear nothing. Friday I call to pick up my laptop and cancel the job. I am fed up with the experience, with having to pull teeth to get any idea what's happening, and getting wrong information when I get information. I get an appointment for noon. Shortly before noon, I get a call from the owner who says they're putting it back together, hopefully in time for the appointment, and they expect the fan error to be fixed when they do. They don't have it finished, and it turns out the reason the assessment took so long was a key came off and part of the case snapped while they were disassembling the laptop, and they were trying to find a replacement. As accomodation and to mollify me they let me backstage and let me do some basic data recovery with their gear while the tech reassembled the laptop. +1 star I guess?? Unfortunately, once the laptop is reassembled the fan error is not fixed, and it's clear that it's not the kind of mechanical blockage that should be a quick cheap fix. At the end of the day my $50 assessment fee and four weeks of waiting got me 'unknown fan error that'll be too expensive to actually be worth fixing.' Worth the $50, but not worth the 4 weeks with no idea what is happening. Why is the business structured so the only point of contact clients have is unable to tell whether the assessment has started? Why does the manager being gone for a week mean a full extra week of delay? Why was I not called when it was clear they wouldn't make the estimate? Why was I not called when the breakage occurred? Why was I not called Thursday when it was clear they wouldn't make THAT estimate either? Why did I have to actively call at 10 AM every time to ever find anything out about the status of my case? It is partly my fault for accepting the initially stated delay, and it is partially faultless for the manager's troubles. Nonetheless, I fully regret coming here and will not be doing so again.

My pc has an overheating issue. They have a "30" day warranty and I brought my pc back 3 times during this period. Same issue and the tech literally told me he couldn't fix the issue that they created. I got scammed. The manager is crazy saying she doesn't "manage her techs" when I asked for ETA multiple times. They hardly pick up the phone during office hours. Never use this place they are horrendous and will cost you an arm & a leg.
