The restaurant was a little more noisy than we like but that has more to do with the guests than the venue. Have had the early bird 4 pm dinner there 2 times. The staff are very, very attentive. It's a privately owned restaurant, not owned by the casino. There is no casino smoke in the restaurant. The food was good. Prime rib was average with a small dab of garlic mashed potatoes. Extra order of Appetizer scallops was a disappointing, only two (2). Came back and had a very good dinner of salmon, cooked perfectly, with baked potato and string beans. Early bird special includes glass of wine/ beverage, soup or salad. 2 nd dinner salad was scant, had a lot less lettuce. Oh Dear..... After coming down the I-15 from SLC area and not really wanting to deal with Vegas Tuesday 6pm nasty gridlock to find an overpriced restaurant... It came down to eating in Mesquite. I have been through and stayed in this town a lot so it was a bummer to have a final dinner after a 3200 mile road adventure covering six states and bunch of museums and parks. So i thought! The prices were higher than i expected considering its Mesquite but whatever. The service was amazing. Our waiter and floater help was amazing. The service was better than vegas' top notch eateries. Whether or not its cause we had tales to share i was super shocked at the great hospitality. The steak done at medium was muuuah. No seasoning per request. But i did cheat by loading it up with blue cheese, shrooms and onions (see pic). Salad. Standard. Nothing special. My buddy ordered the salad cause it was a 100+ degrees outside. Tomato soup. More like a bisque. Overall it was too heavy for me with my restrictions. It wasnt bad at all just not for me. And bit salty. House bread! Dayuuum. You know its good when ya eat too much and it was not cause i was starving marvin. Interior. Intimate setting. Bit on the darker side. My blind butt needed to use my camera light to see. Funny enough, the waiter carried around a small flash light. Gregory is located in the Eurkeka hotel. They have good reviews per google and tripadvisor. Unsure bout yelp cause it wasnt working when i cruised through. Overall. I will be returning period. Especially if i crash at virgin river. read more

We had a dinner reservation here for 4:30pm on a Thursday night. Reservations recommended for sure. We were seated right away. Seating was very well spaced out due to covid and all staff were wearing masks. Due to our early reservations we were able to take advantage of the early bird menu. You get a salad or soup, your choice from a list of entrees, and the dessert of the day for $30 with your player card. I had the salmon as my main course. Soup of the day was chicken and rice so I tried that. The soup was surprisingly hot - like breathing fire spicy hot. Flavor was decent but I could only eat half due to the heat. Salads were very pretty and both people who had them enjoyed them. My salmon was delightful. I also chose the roasted Yukon gold potatoes (other option was baked potato). Between the soup/salad course and the dinner they brought us mango sorbet to cleanse our pallette. It was quite delicious. The bread they serve with dinner was AMAZING. I think I ate 3 pieces. The dessert of the day was an apple spice cake with cream cheese frosting. Flavor wise it was great but the cake was really dry so I didn't eat much of it. This restaurant has no flexibility! I could not even get simple anchovies for my $13 Caesar salad. My friend doesn't like polenta and requested potatoes. Nope! The crab cakes were very disappointing. The entrees are way overpriced for mediocre food. 3rd time and it's absolutely my last time! Never again. If you want expensive food in mesquite go to Katherine's where there is much better food and absolute flexibility! And the waiters don't have to run back and "ask the chef" when the answer will be "No"! anyway. Nope, nope and nope across the board!! read more

This restaurant blew me away tonight after reading the reviews on just about every restaurant in the area I chose Gregory's. It's located right off the casino floor and I really didn't have very high expectations after walking through the casino. I found a seat at the bar and was immediately greeted by Joey I told him I was planning to have dinner and he set up a place setting in front of me? Let me go ahead and get it out of the way, Joey is a very professional and polished bartender, his customer service skills are outstanding and he kept the entire bar happy the entire time I was there. So I'm just saying if you go and there"s an empty seat at the bar and Joey is working that's where you want to be. I decided to mix up a few of the starter courses on the menu and I was very glad I did, everything was exceptional tonight and the timing between courses couldn't have been more perfect. - Warm Crusty Bread - served in a basket wrapped up in cloth and served with rosettes of real butter I just love this old school charm. The bread was fresh and warm, chewy, crusty but tender to the bite I only tried a few pieces but wanted to take the rest with me but decided that wasn't a good idea. - Ahi Tuna - seared rare with a light coating of sesame seeds and some kind of rub it was so fresh and cooked exactly to the right degree which is almost raw. The portion was large and the price was unbelievably reasonable. I think the plate was $13 and served with wasabi, ginger and two sauces one was on the sweeter side I can't remember what it was called but it worked well the other was soy sauce as you'd expect. - Lobster Bisque - I think this was an $8 appetizer it's a bowl not a cup and it was delish. My first impression was that the texture was a little thin this was by design come to find out, the small square of puffed pastry floating on top sort of melted into the bisque and gave it the perfect consistence there was just the right amount of chopped lobster and it was full of flavor I definitely would do this again. - Wedge Salad - yes it's a different version than I'm accustomed to, but let me tell you it rocked. The plate and the iceberg lettuce were cold, I loved the fact that they included 3 smaller wedges verses just a quarter head of lettuce this made it a lot easier to eat and more surface area for condiments to coat the lettuce fully. . The tomatoes are poached yes, poached and cut into wedges they were so good, add in the mounts of may-tag blue cheese and the smokey bacon them cover all of this with their house balsamic dressing (which I can't describe how good this dressing is) and you have a great combination. This place is really good I hope to have many more great meals here when traveling to the area. read more

This place is amazing we've been here 3 times and we are out of towners, we drive 1 hour to come to this steakhouse the rib-eye has my heart it's amazing i do have to add a bit of salt but thats no problem with me. Also my husband always gets the crab legs that come with a filet i believe the crab is a mist have it is soooooo delicious, we will be back for more. So instead we had the shrimp cocktail. Large shrimp, not de-veined, so not cleaned out... The risotto with mushrooms and NY steak was flavorful, just wish the risotto was more wet and you could choose your temp on the steak... they said it comes out medium, it was well done. I would've preferred med-rare. My friend had the prime rib and lobster. It was good. The veggies were good too. The old fashioned had a plain maraschino cherry in it, $12. Jameson on the rocks, $12. I don't think I will go to this restaurant again. On five occasions, my rib-eyes were rare after I asked for medium. My king crab on two occasions was cold, and some parts were frozen. I asked for a baked potato but didn't receive it and was charged for it. The quality and cooking of the food have gone down. This used to be my favorite. Unless things change, I won't be back. The service appears good, but some of the above is the server's responsibility. read more

We ate at Gregorys last Thursday. Here are some things to watch out for. We were a party of eight, three couples and two singles. Gregory,s refused to split checks so it took us forty five minutes to determine who would pay what. Watch out for up sales. The menu just says includes a starch and vegetable. You might think a baked potato would be a starch but no, it's seven dollars more. Starch means only mashed potatoes. For the food, my meal was fine but two guests who ordered prime said it was inedible. So tough they could not cut through it. This looks like an up scale place and in many respects it was but what's with the sports bar tvs. Seeing a hockey game directly behind the host was a total distraction. There is no way you will ever see us in this place again. read more

We had hopes for a high-quality celebratory meal and got halfway there. The service was helpful, friendly, and fast. The salad and pallet cleansing sorbet were both enjoyable. My husband got the ribeye which he enjoyed while I got the NY Steak with risotto. Risotto is not what I got, what arrived was bland white rice with a possible bit of cheese on it? The steak while cooked fine was swimming in a thick, sweet yet bland brown gravy. Possibly I just got a bad dish on a rough night, nonetheless I would not recommend that dish for anyone. read more

NOT good, and not smart. I ordered the most expensive steak. The menu said it came with soup or salad, vegetable of the day and a starch. I was allergic to the vegetable of the day, so I asked for some other vegetable. The server said he would talk to the chef. When my steak came out, there was no vegetable at all. When I asked, the server said the chef said no. Thanks for telling me. And thanks for accommodating my allergy. I chose the baked potato as my starch. But when I got the check, they charged me $5 extra for the baked potato. NOWHERE does it say a baked potato is extra. And of course, the server didn't say a word about it. My wife chose a different starch from the same list, and wasn't charged extra. So a steak dinner that should have included two sides included neither. Worst part? The steaks were WAY under cooked and mushy. My wife threw 2/3 of her filet mignon in the garbage; it was too rare, and not even close to what she ordered. My steak, the ribeye, was also way, way undercooked. The server never even asked how our steaks were. Yuck. I would have given one star, but the servers brought desserts for birthdays. This place had amazing food! The bread was delicious and warm. We got a couple of appetizers: Seared scallops and prime rib wellington. The scallops were DIVINE! The prime rib wellington was an interesting take, almost like a deconstructed wellington with a little sweetness. I ordered the Filet Oscar and my love ordered the prime rib. The sides were selected by the chef, so we had scalloped potatoes and vegetables. I really enjoyed the scalloped potatoes because they tasted very rich and savory. It looked like a tiny amount but it was actually pretty filling. The only thing I was just a little disappointed in was the zucchini/cauliflower veggie mix. It was not flavorful and seemed frozen. Our waiter, Oscar, was very polite and provided excellent service. Love the surprise lemon cake! (As we were celebrating our anniversary) Overall, this is great food and it honestly wasn't that expensive. read more

The attention of all the staff can be rated as close to perfect as you can find. But the real reason for coming is the food. From the combination of a perfect filet coupled with either shrimp or lobster, you'd be hard pressed to find better. Been to Gregory's a number of times with my sister, it is her favorite place in Mesquite. She is there 3-4 times a month and the manager and a waiter know her. Just left and I must tell you that my meal was perfect. My sister ordered a large filet and asked for it medium rare. She took several bites of her filet and asked me to cut a piece and try it. Looking at it, I could tell it was WELL DONE, certainly not med. rare, medium, medium well, etc.. Really of the mark for a high end restaurant. If you go, cut into your meat before accepting it. They deducted the price of the entree and apologized after her meal was ruined. Knowing they closed soon I raced inside and was then told she wouldn't let me order onsite because they are a steak house and they dont do take out orders at all. The baked potato was old, the server said they are baked daily, I asked for a new fresh one, the server Steven would not even ask kitchen, we noticed people arriving after us getting their food before us. The crab legs were cold and dipping into melted burner on a warmer did little to warm it up.
