When one is looking for a good breakfast at a good price look no further then Sunrise!…read more The staff are always very friendly and the breakfast is consistently delicious. I was pleasantly surprised to see they are now offering more upscale specials, but it's the two egg breakfast special that keeps me coming back. The place is light and open, and the conversation that happens at tables can only be described as unique to Howell with the amount of "regulars" that frequent Sunrise. I suspect most towns have a "down home" restaurant like Sunrise and it's always been a good dining experience.

Their waitress was inattentive to the point that they were forced to chase her down. When their friend arrived, said waitress approached the table and asked if the newcomer wanted a plate to share in the pizza. When she was told no, she immediately turned and walked away instead of asking the newcomer if she might want a drink: again, the customers were forced to chase her down. Her excuse, as she looked at the customer as if she were some sort of insect in her lipgloss tube, was that she thought the newcomer had just come from another table--where on earth did she get that idea? Emily, said waitress, CLEARLY had no time to wait on women whom she felt for some reason were not worth her time nor the generous tip she would have received had she not acted like she was in a hurry to get rid of said customers. She did just that when she realized she had screwed up but wanted to assume zero accountability. Thank you, Olivia, for taking over. Training tip: Emily might be young and BLONDE, but elders sisters are more experienced and might teach her a thing or two. A few crow's feet does not make us insignificant nor unempowered. Men who objectify you are not the only ones who tip. How does this reviewer know? Because 40 years ago another older woman taught her this lesson when she had made the same mistake. Pay attention: to your tables, your customers, and your attitude. As for Mancino's in general, this restaurant has quality food, great cocktails, and hard-working staff otherwise.

Stopped in with about seven other coworkers for a goodbye lunch last week:…read more I'm not normally a "salad guy"; because if I want to go out to eat, I want to eat something I don't want to cook... especially if my employer is footing the bill, lol... Our waitress was attentive, had everyone's drink order taken as soon as we all trickled in. I ordered the Southwest chopped chicken salad; and added jalapenos. My only constructive criticism for the salad was to actually chop it. It was more of a seared breast that was sliced into strips, it wasn't chopped. With that said, the salad was delicious. The lettuce was fresh, the jalapeno ranch was tasty. I had no complaints putting the whole thing away for lunch. Our waitress did a great job caring for all 8 of us, while we came in at varied times, had several modifications to dishes, and some had to leave early... Great experience.

The truth is there's not that much on the menu that meets the criteria. She chose a grilled cheese, cole slaw and fries. She stated she really just wanted the cole slaw. I had the chorizo skillet with two eggs over medium. The food came reasonably quick and the service was quick and kind of not overly personable. The fries were kinda average and the chorizo lacked the zing I was hoping for. The food was just good, not really great. There looked to be some better weekend specials but the menu on its own wasn't that eclectic. Maybe worth a other try. I'm giving it a generous 3.6 which rounds to 4.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Coratti's Pizzeria Bar and Bocce in Howell and the…read moreincredible experience they gave our family for my son Brady and his now-wife Hope's rehearsal dinner. About a week and a half before the dinner, my husband and I met with Jeff to review our menu selections. That meeting turned out to be one of the BEST decisions we made. Jeff shared his experience and thoughtfully suggested a few changes that made the meal even better. He recommended replacing one of our original appetizers with the Suppli -- and he was absolutely right. It was a HUGE hit with our guests! We were also unsure about serving salmon alongside the sliced sirloin. Jeff immediately suggested Chicken Piccata instead, and it complemented the sirloin perfectly. Our guests kept telling us throughout the evening how delicious everything was and how impressed they were with the quality of the food. Peter, our host, was simply wonderful. He was gracious, professional, and on top of every detail from beginning to end. We never had to ask for anything because he was already taking care of it. Our servers, Sydney and Isla, were equally outstanding. They were attentive to every guest, offering drinks, clearing plates, and keeping the food stocked without ever needing to be asked. They worked so smoothly and professionally that we were able to relax and truly enjoy this very special evening with our family and friends. As parents, you want these once-in-a-lifetime celebrations to be memorable for all the right reasons, and Coratti's helped make Brady and Hope's rehearsal dinner exactly that. A heartfelt thank you to Jeff, Peter, Sydney, Isla, and the entire Coratti's staff for the delicious food, exceptional service, and wonderful memories. I HIGHLY recommend Coratti's for a rehearsal dinner, special celebration, or simply a night out enjoying delicious, quality food with an amazing staff. I'm already looking forward to visiting their new East Lansing location when it opens. Until then, I'll gladly be making the trip back to Howell! Allen & Brigid Schlossberg
