Dr. Cummings is the Allergy, Asthma and Immunology specialist at Menlo Medical Clinic and,…read moreaccording to her bio on the MMC site, she has been with them for 23 years. My three little boys have a variety of allergies and are all subject to asthma/wheezing, so we've gotten to know Dr. Cummings over several years now... and I'm thankful that she is here to help us sort through the associated complex and stressful issues. She's got the experience and research knowledge to know what she's doing -- and during my interactions she's demonstrated both a friendly bedside manner and a balance between confidence and caution that I find reassuring. Of course with allergies as with lots of other ailments, doctors are still learning -- so even the experts can often not tell you the "right answer" for how to manage a particular allergy. And it's no fun bringing your little guys in to be poked and prodded each year for an allergy test, especially when (as on our last visit) my three year old's uncomfortable skin test got botched and had to be repeated. But as with most things, no pain, no gain. And since we are trying to do our very best to keep our little guys safe and comfortable over the long haul, we're going to keep coming to Dr. Cummings for the best advice we can get.

I've been told I'm allergic/sensitive to chemicals, and there's no known way to treat that. Dr Cummings was highly recommended to me, and I went to her as a last ditch effort. She took a look at all my previous testing, listened to me talking about my symptoms, and pinpointed my main (though not only) problem immediately - untreated silent reflux - and gave me a recommendation for her colleague, Dr Chan. She was right on the money. Dr Chan tested me, put me on meds, and I've never been better. Unlike other allergists I've gone to, Dr Cummings knows what can mimic allergy problems, and who to send you to. And I'm really grateful for that expertise, and her wonderful bedside manner.

She just wanted to help me. Yes, of course, she does all of my health care needs and keeps up with all the latest treatments. Dr. Rosenberg always comes up with an idea to hep solve a problem when others had given up or thought there was nothing to help. Jane, her office everything, is incredibly kind and available. She is the best and their team coordinate my care with the utmost of efficiency and ethics. I, especially as a physician, feel that Dr. Rosenberg represents the best of how to be a Primary Care Physician. She is bright, brilliant, warm, thoughtful, and caring. Dr. Rosenberg should be your doctor. I would not go to anyone else for my healthcare needs.

I usually dread visits to the Dr., but Dr. Rosenberg made me feel comfortable -- she commented appropriately, was easy to talk to, and made me feel like I was the only person she was seeing that day. Good to note: She took notes on a computer while talking to me, but before she did so, she told me why and said that if it really bothered me, she could take notes by hand instead. I didn't even notice it after 5 minutes. Please also note that Dr. Rosenberg does not submit directly to insurance companies, so you'll have to fill out your own paperwork and submit it yourself. If you're looking for an excellent primary care physician in the Bay Area, Dr. Bonnie Rosenberg is your woman.

This was my first time at this particular Stanford Clinic and I'm not too sure if every doctor here…read moreis from Stanford but I really like the aesthetic and set up of still being somewhat in the wilderness. I also liked the waterfall and the detailed map in the front entryway. There was also an elevator along with stairs and a number of parking spaces. I saw Dr. Nguyen and she was in the allergy clinic on the second floor. Her staff/that office was very helpful since I did not receive the snail mail copy of questionnaire and I was able to fill it out in person. The only thing I felt a little awkward with was when it came time for me to get my allergy Test done, Dr. Nguyen, female doctor left the room and a male nurse came in to put the different allergens on my back as I was wearing a patient gown that was open in the back without my bra. Kind of awkward since all my encounters prior to this were female doctors or Female receptionist. I wish I could've asked for a woman to come in beforehand, but whatever! I needed to get the allergy test done and I felt awkward anyways, but I think they should ask ahead of time if you would feel comfortable with a male person touching your back without your bra on. Everything else was fine and he was professional, even though he was a male nurse. I just think it was in my head. Lol.

This is the third appointment this has happened ...I will now need to find a new physician as this lack of care is indicative of a possible larger problem??

Dr. Cisco was my three boys' pediatrician for 5 years; he definitely earned our trust and respect…read moreduring that time. We have also heard numerous other Peninsula doctors refer to Dr. Cisco as "the best" pediatrician in the area. Sadly for us, he's recently moved from Menlo Medical to Burgess Pediatrics, a specialty practice offering a new flavor of medical care. From their website: "We will provide a different brand of high quality outpatient pediatric care. By caring for a small number of patients, we will be able to offer the accessibility and time it takes to provide a more personalized level of health care. We will offer easy, direct and unlimited access, either by phone or in person, and ample time for examinations, education and discussion." Patients at Burgess Pediatrics will pay a flat monthly rate for unlimited care from the pediatricians. This seems like a wonderful idea and service for patients who either have chronic medical needs or very deep pockets. We don't currently fall into either of these camps, so we're going to work with another pediatrician for now. If this program makes sense for your family, however, I would strongly endorse Dr. Cisco... and I suspect that their new brand of more-time-per-patient care will be great for patients. -- Original Review from Dec 2005 Dr. Cisco has been my boys' pediatrician for the past 3.5 years and we have been consistently pleased with his care. He is a member of the excellent Menlo Medical Clinic (see review) and affiliated with Stanford Hospital. In terms of style, Dr. Cisco is somewhat "old school" and tends to brush off many of our concerns as unnecessary angst. Some of our friends prefer pediatricians who are more cautious and likely to order that extra test just to be sure... if this is you, Dr. Cisco is not your guy. Our boys are prone to asthma and have several allergies, so we really appreciate the fact that our doctor has been around the block and can quickly differentiate between those situations that are serious from those that aren't. And even when the situation has been a bit more serious, it's good to have someone who can look you in the eye and just lay out what needs to be done without causing alarm.
