He went above and beyond for us, and helped make our wedding perfect! He is responsive to emails, prompt, professional, and incredibly warm and friendly. He worked closely with the wedding coordinator to make sure that they had shared all the pertinent details, had a solid timeline, and generally kept things running smoothly. He even came to our rehearsal to make sure that everything would be correct the next day. For the ceremony, he actually created a song for us when we were having trouble picking recessional music; my husband and I liked the opening flourish of one song, but the main body of a different song, so Andy beautifully blended them so we could have the best of both! It was exactly what we imagined, and he provided it when we didn't even think it was possible. He was great at the reception as well. He kept the music happy and upbeat, focusing mainly on the music that my husband and I told him we liked. He also is great about abiding by the "Do NOT Play" list, if you ask him. The reception was a ton of fun, and Andy did an excellent job of keeping peoples' energy up and making people want to be on the dance floor all night. It was great! He worked in all the dances/activities we'd asked for, without ever breaking the natural flow of energy at the reception. I highly recommend Andy!

Later I listened to the whole group on a CD which is just the first I will get by this band. When I came in I noticed they were performing but I just wanted to get in there and get out. I was tired. It was when I standing in line to make my purchase when I really started listening and enjoying the eclectic music I was hearing. I ended up settled in a chair with a group that were enjoying it as much as I was. First, I thought Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson but the more I listened I realized I was limiting them. They were performing classics of vaudeville, the delta, tunes from the depression and more. What was even more impressive was their original songs didn't lack in the quality of the rest of what they were playing. I could consider having them play at a light soiree. One where you didn't want heavy duty music but one that could drift through the crowd to just be enjoyed generally. If you hear The Sugar Thieves are playing, check them out. Good creative group of people I don't think should be missed.
