They tried to charge both my husband and myself over $4000 for intensive cleanings saying our insurance would not cover them- our insurance confirmed not only did they never submit their required prior authorization, but that the service would be covered in full. That was a $3600 difference in price- PER PATIENT. Their check out girl is so lazy she refuses to do her job unless you literally force her to. Their office was literally the worst experience I've ever had in a dentist office across 5 states in this country. Run before they try to take advantage of you too.

I highly recommend completing your paperwork online before your appointment. They share a parking lot with a very busy Starbucks location and they have designated parking spots for the dental office. I was greeted warmly as I entered, and because I had completed my paperwork online I was able to simply let them know I was there and sit down to wait. My appointment was scheduled for 3 PM and just minutes later, they called my name. They quickly did a x-ray with a very modern machine that produced immediate pictures. I waited mere minutes before the dentist came in to examine me. Dr. Maughn was incredibly calming and compassionate. He had a good sense of humor as well. Those qualities are so important for anyone even slightly anxious at a dental visit. He immediately put me at ease, explained my situation thoroughly, and offered several treatment options. He was sensitive to my pain level and asked for consent before proceeding with each medical intervention. This was probably one of the most positive experiences I've had at a dentist. My wife and I were both overcharged with mine being $220.00 over and my wife was being overcharged by over $700.00 which is a 120% overcharge. Then when we were told by the office billing dept that it takes 2 to 3 months to receive a refund for our overpayment even though they have already received payment from our insurance company. So they now hold our money for a period of time and draw interest while we are waiting for our refund. We also requested a pre-determination be done on her claim and was told they had done that but after consulting with the insurance, we found out it was that it was never done. So this office is either completely incompetent or just flat out dishonest.

I went in in February and got the fillings for all three cavities. Within a week One of the fillings fell out the following week. I had to go back and get the second filling redone. The pain that I was feeling after the first feeling was replaced after falling out was still hurting, and the dentist told me that it may take a few weeks as my teeth may be sensitive. While at that visit, I pointed out that there was extra epoxy from the fillings around the bottom of my teeth, and in between my teeth, preventing me to floss. She cleaned up the extra at that appointment. A week or two went by and I reached back out to the dentist office, letting them know that I was still in pain from the first filling that had to be replaced. They referred me to an endodontist and I went in for a consultation and had a root canal. The pain continued after the root canal so I went to a new dentist and we found out that there have been a crack in the tooth this whole time. I then had to have the tooth extracted and now I am working towards getting an implant to replace the tooth that the dentist cracked from the First filling that she had done the replacement on that fell out in early February. I am at the point of getting a lawyer as I am almost $4000 into this process.

As a matter of fact, my whole family has been coming here and we have never had an experience as the one listed. I'm not saying it didn't happen, because I don't know, but I'm sure they haven't built their business with such treatment. I'm not excited to go to the dentist, but they always take good care of me. My dentist is Dr. Rizzuti and I am lucky my mom found him many years ago. He helps me relax and takes very good care of me, especially when I was going through my broken jaw experience. It was by no means fun, but it was bearable. I've had my fair share of dental experiences since I broke my jaw. I have had 8 or 9 root canals and they all went well and I know everyone has a different response to root canals. My friends face swelled up, but it has never happened to me, I guess I'm lucky in a way. I have had a couple fillings and lots of cleanings. The hygienists can be hit or miss. They have the hardest job, but some are nicer than others is all I'm saying. I guess it's hard to clean teeth and be super gentle especially if you don't come in every 6 months as suggested. It's a bad habit I've gotten into. Since I don't have dental insurance I have to pay upfront or set up a payment plan. If you pay in full you get a 10% discount which is really nice. The ladies at the counter where you pay are so nice and helpful. My mom comes here a lot and the ladies remember me and who my mom is. I haven't gone to the dentist with my mom in I don't know how long, but they always remember. That is a nice touch.
