Apparently, you can't play tennis on Sunday due to the Ashbridge Will. I'm not actually sure if the rule is enforced because the doors are not locked.! The courts themselves, are pretty nice. The lines are visible and there are little to no cracks on them. Though, there are only two courts. While none of the courts are shaded there is a shaded area right by the courts. In that area is picnic benches where kids and families have picnics and birthday parties. There is a pretty large playground with slides, monkey bars, a spider-web climbing structure and more! That must be fun for the kids! There is also two bathroom with water fountains. The water is solid and ice cold! There is also a large walking trail that goes around the park! Altogether, this is a great park to have fun at!

We were on our way into the city and met up with some friends for an impromptu play date. This park is really cool, with lots of modern play equipment for both younger tots and older kids. My 6 year old really enjoyed the "spider web." There is lots of parking and lots of space for the kids to play and it's right in the heart of the main line off of Montgomery Ave in Bryn Mawr. We'll definitely take the kids here again if we're in the area.

The kids really enjoy running around and playing on the different playground structures, including the spinning jungle gym thing and the huge swing! In addition to that great playground, they also have a nice long trail to walk around the whole park, lots of open space to use otherwise (I've seen people playing volleyball before), other sports courts such as basketball right near the playground, and one of my favorites, the fitness court! That's a great place to do some exercises that I've sometimes seen folks do on a playground, but this one is customized for exercise. Weather's still not fully there yet, but I may get back out there soon to use that equipment again!

They have swings for bigger kids, a pair of swings for babies, and a few swings that are adapted for kids with special needs. Many slides of many different heights, including two that are two stories tall. There is even a really cool "elevator" pole that has a platform that slowly decends when someone stops onto it, then returns up top when the person steps off. Not sure which came first, the name or the fun play element. The ground is made of the rubberized pavement which is nice under foot. They have a few tables as well as some benches for parents to sit and take a break or have a little picnic. In the park there is also a few fields including a baseball diamond. Parking can be limiting because of its popularity but I haven't had any issues thus far.

The park is much deeper than it appears from the road and parking area. It includes the playground, 2 tennis courts, 1 basketball court, a rain garden, open playing fields, and restrooms. The ball fields and fieldhouse have separate entrances up the hill from the administration offices. The dog park is across Ellis Ave, along Ellis Ave. The female ball fields are across Bishop Hollow, on the side opposite all of the rest of the park. Soccer fields are behind the library off of Ellis Ave. Playground is hard to find; it is in way back corner behind soccer field. There are these weird "paths" back there, like someone had extra asphalt and dumped it out as far as they could go to make a halfazz sidewalk. It's more of a liability than an asset. Don't let your kids walk there because they'll trip. (Luckily, I did not learn the hard way.) Playground is a little worn, but served its purpose. Playstructure with 3 slides, "rope bridge" which was really made of metal, corkscrew fireman pole, bouncy rides, dino figure to climb on, and swings. The walking path extends from Bishop Hollow Rd (in dog park across from Library), down Ellis Ave, across Ellis past the soccer field, up past playground, and back behind ball fields, to wrap around between them to ball field parking lot. Basketball courts are right next to Library, and are SUPER POPULAR in the summer, so get there early if you wanna turn.

Great kids playground! Very large, so many fun things for…read morekids to climb on, imagine, play with. They have music toys, sandbox, slides, and water misters. The ground is made of soft rubber material. There are a bunch of benches for parents to relax on. :) There are bathrooms right next to the playground. Around are fields and nature trails. One of the trails along the creek has a nice spot for kids to jump in and get a little wet.

They have sports fields and a playground. My son had fun playing on everything. I have to mention the slides held an unusually large amount of water at their bases after a rain the night before. Luckily I saw it before my kid had a splash landing! The playground is well fenced, which is a must since it's near the road. It is padded with wood chips. There is a stream that runs along one side of the park, and thankfully it too is fenced off to protect kids. This is a scenic neighborhood too, where sidewalks are maintained everywhere, so it's worth a stroll around to check out some pretty architecture after you enjoy the park.

New playset with clubhouse attached by a bridge! Playhouse has a corkscrew style fireman pole! Main playset has a double-slide and additional single slide. Actual stairs allow easy access for toddlers, and as shown in my pics, parents can get in for easy access to all parts of this thing, so no one gets away from you. I walked all over this thing and it held me fine. It's not going anywhere! Swings have been reduced from four to just two (both baby seats), but it seemed to work out okay. Today was a busy Columbus day, and there was no line for swings. Still a bouncy seesaw thing. They kids love that! Super popular, everyone is making it hop all day long! Little ones enjoy the middle where it's less crazy! A series of graduating height/diameter bongo drums is in the corner where the xylophone used to be. My toddler loved them! I wish they were a little shorter, but he still went nuts. There are chimes to replace the xylophone, located under the clubhouse, alongside some built-in puzzles and steering wheel things. A cool new rope climbing aparatus replaces the old curved hanging bars. This is advanced for toddlers. Not sure how it fits with the vision of Tot Lot, but it satisfies older siblings who need a better challenge. There is another little car thing for toddler exploration. Has vinyl flap doors they can get in and out of, and things to steer and move around inside. The whole ground surface is freshly re-done in more rubber, this time, a mix of black and blue to hide dirt. Same fence, same rules, same latching gate. Great new play space! Thanks, Media Borough!

Brookside is a Newtown Township park, tucked into the back of a development, where Brookside Rd…read morehits Bryn Mawr Ave (short jaunt from route 3). When I visited they were packed with visitors for a Saturday soccer game. Cars lined the drive, overflowed onto the grass, everywhere. Still, I was able to get a spot in the parking lot for the playground, which was really nice and considerate of the soccer people, because I would not have been able to visit if I had to lug my toddler from a spot on the lawn of the other side of the park. This park is amazingly clean for the volume of visitors, and everyone was polite and respectful, except for one older boy on the swings at the playground who dropped the f-bomb (and then looked at me to see if I would yell at him for it, LOL). Grrrrr. The playstructure is standard, and as I've recently seen by exploring all this twp's parks, similar to the structures at the other twp playgrounds. They got some bargain on these climb-on dinosaurs because they're roaring from all corners of the township. My son loves to pat them and roar, so they're cool with me! This isn't a park for hiking or other exercise, but for the league sports, and playground, it's a-okay!
