There was an issue with the floor style and its availabilty which delayed delivery, from Canada, but Evans Flooring negotiated with us on the price. The crew quickly and carefully removed our bamboo flooring. Then tirelessly the crew sanded the sub floor and just as quickly and carefully installed the oak flooring. The crew allowed selection of the oak wood planks to eliminate those with large knots and discolored planks resulting in a floor with matching hues and similar grain. The crew was courteous, polite, professional and assisted us with moving our furniture. We are very happy with our new oak hardwood flooring and recommend Evans Flooring.

I have this floor in my kitchen, dining area and laundry room. No doubt the product was discontinued. Reinhold assessed the situation and developed a plan to save my floor-it would have been no surprise and much easier to sell me a new floor. They measured, matched and ordered similar flooring to put under my washer and dryer. Those tiles could then be used to patch the area in front of the dishwasher. When the installer arrived they daringly used tools to move, glue and caulk my exisiting tiles. Oh, and they charged me NOTHING!! What a complete surprise to be treated like family (I purchased this floor at another outlet that has since changed hands and offered no solution.) Need a new floor? Run don't walk to this fine group of professionals who solve problems and treat the customer with respect and appreciation. This wasn't my first go around with hardwood, I've done projects in Chicago and I have a cousin who owns a firm that does high end hardwood also. So when I met Mick, I felt at ease he knew what he was talking about. Handling a rehab from 300 miles a way can be challenging. He was responsive, we did have some calls and texts going back and forth. There were also picture updates. At the end of the job everything was cleaned up. Everyone that comes in raves about the floors, I did pick out flooring that cost a little more than some of the other stuff, as tempting as the sale hardwood was. I used the Yelp project assistant feature and after a short while, I received contact from Ron, via the Key Carpet Yelp business page. Ron quickly filled me in regarding his 45 years experience in carpeting repair and then reviewed some photos I sent him to get a better picture of my situation. Ron quoted me $400 for the job, using the extra carpeting material I had on hand and offered to come the very next day, Friday mid morning. Ron gave me several assurances he'd handle whatever situation was present and not to give it any more worry. I appreciated his confidence and stated flexibility regarding the job conditions and his intention to just get it done. Ron is old school and not a Prima-donna. On a prompt arrival, Ron and his helper Brayson moved our kids bed out of the way, tore out the old carpeting, filthy tack strips, and treated the area with an odor neutralizer before jumping into the installation. The whole job took almost exactly 3 hours from arrival to departure. Ron & Brayson were true beasts in knocking out the job! I'm currently unclear whether this was a referral from Key Carpet to Lenderman Flooring, or Key Carpet employees themselves... but I'm a satisfied customer either way.

While the company was easy to communicate with prior to the work being done we had a huge hiccup during the actual work. While planning to sell our home we were also in the process of moving 4,500 miles away. We had multiple businesses coming to our home on certain days to do their specific jobs (cleaning, staging, photographing, open house etc). I was told several times exactly how long the installation of the carpeting should take and based all other appointments on what I had been told. While on a trip I received a call telling me the installation would take another few days, which was simply unacceptable. Thankfully, Key Carpet was able to pull employees from another job to finish ours on time. This whole process caused an extreme amount of stress and headaches. While we were happy with how the new carpeting looked, it was definitely not the smoothest process.
