Guy comes out and says $2000, plus $2000 for ridge vent exclusion plus rental for a boom to reach top of the house. Ridge vent fix required screws through shingles. Hard pass. My roofer can replace them for cheaper. Nobody informed me of a $300 inspection fee, but they daid thats what my deposit was for. They were super angry that i would have somebody else out to give an estimate after thwir tech came out as if a homeowner cant get more than one opinion. Told them to keep the $300 if they needed it that bad and they hung up on me. Save your money. Call a trusted roofer, dont put acrews through your roof (which could void a roof warranty). She didn't try to up-sell us on anything, and made suggestions that we were comfortable about in meeting our long term goals. The six-man crew arrived this morning, about 10 minutes early (which as an old ex-Army guy I loved). They were ready to work and got right to it. The team moved like a well rehearsed operation, no wasted movements, no wasted time. Each action and reaction caused something to fall to the ground. My wife and I were compelled to watch and take pictures. She needed to do videos for the 3yr old grandson who just loves big trucks and equipment. They have all the proper machinery and accesories, no barely running chain saws or jack-leg ropes and hope methodology for these guys. The clean-up is amazing, aside from the remaining stump, there is very little evidence they were here removing thousands of pounds of wood. They even brought top soil and filled in the divots made from log fall. Tree work is not cheap, and quality work, that is done safely for the workers, and your property shouldn't be. I am very happy with the final cost of the project. This is not, at least hopefully, the kind of service you need with any regularity, but, if we do ever need anything else, JNF is an absolute first call for us. Beware and proceed with extreme caution with this company just as you would with an actual Mad Cow…read more This company will take advantage of every opportunity to get you to sign a contract under the duress of a stressful situation following a storm, claim to be working with your insurer at no cost to you, perform lackluster service, then solely rely on said contract to bilk you and your insurer for exorbitant costs, threaten liens on your property, and attempt to silence any negative reviews online with frivolous claims of libel lawsuits for negative reviews after they've buried them with more recent positive reviews of their own. The best thing you could do is just look at how they respond to the negative reviews on here, Google, etc. - is every random person the enemy or are they just a bad company? Following the severe storms in mid-March, they have harassed sweet, elderly women and single mothers in the North County area with outrageous invoices for tens of thousands of dollars for a few hours of work. It couldn't be more obvious how they are simply attempting to prey on vulnerable people in stressful situations, in the hopes of getting the insurance payout, then shout about liens and lawsuits in order to get whatever money they can of out people when either insurance doesn't pay or they want more money. Even going so far as to bring a costumed police officer with them to the door "to collect" - last I checked, cops don't make house calls for bill collection. It is also suspicious that they want their compensation delivered in-person and not sent in the mail - could it because mail fraud is a federal offense?
