Because of my schedule, I didn't make the appt sooner and things got disgusting in that dishwasher with mold and everything. Well Jake came out and he found that my disposal was dead - the motor had seized up and that was the issue. He was able to go to the Home Depot just a couple miles away, get me a new one and installed it. Not only that but he made sure that the standing water in the dishwasher was able to drain too. It did!! I was so excited. He double checked everything to make sure all was tight and there was no leakage. Jake was professional, kind and so helpful. He sure knew his stuff and got it done in a timely manner. This is the 2nd time I have called Mr. Handyman and have been pleased both times. Being a little older with a mobility issue this company and the services they offer is truly a Godsend. Thank you to everyone there from the ladies that made my appointments to Jake who made everything right. I will have them back!!

On April 10, 2026 I visited Addictinsulation.com and after looking around their website, I clicked…read moreon Contact Us, and left my information, and indicated I was interested in getting a free estimate from them to add insulation to our attic. They were one of 3 contractors I collected bids from. Shortly after that, I received an email response with a coupon for $50 off, and a phone number which I called to set up an appointment for the estimate inspection. Four days later, the owner of the company, Ed Clement, came out and went into my attic. Ed gave me a price to bring my attic up to the "Industry Standard" which is R-49. I asked him to email the estimate, which he did, and it was very reasonable. We set a date for him to do the work on April 25th. Ed knows what he's doing, and completed insulating our 1218 square foot house attic in under an hour. He added 16 inches of insulation. He took several pictures, which he texted me while he was still at our home. Besides, sweeping the little insulation scraps on my garage floor and on the driveway, he removed two pieces of wood that I had left in the attic a few years earlier while I installed a fan in our kitchen. Ed was easy to work with, answered all of my questions, and gave us a good price. I highly recommend AddictInsulation for your insulating needs. 6/10/22 the city failed the Egress window Schultz put in, stating it needed a drainage system after…read morethis had been done over a year ago. Brandon, the owner of Schultz, never completed the permit. Our basement had flooded once in 2021 and again 2022 due to his faulty work. Schultz came out and claimed they installed a drainage system. Schultz told the city they did this but did not show them. On 6/29/22 the city stated it was approved based on what Schultz told him. On 7/26/22 my basement flooded AGAIN, it was the first rain since the last time he worked on our property in June of 2022. Per code in our county a window well has to go to a French drain or daylight drain if those are not present then one needs to be put in or a sump pump needs to be put in, neither was done. Two city inspectors came to our home on 7/27/22 after my husband dug all the way down to the footing and confirmed there was no drainage system in place. The lead inspector Brad at St Charles city called Schultz and advised there was no drainage system in place and Schultz needed to call us to make it right. Schultz met with us on 8/6/22 at McDonalds and advised he WOULD NOT be doing anything to rectify the situation. Then Schultz continued to lie stating the engineer was working with him on a current job which in fact was a lie after speaking with Broughton Engineering. Broughton Engineering also stated there needed to be a drainage system in place. Schultz STILL refuses to provide insurance information which tells me they have none. Schultz was sued for over 99,000 by a previous customer which I found out later and has yet to pay a penny of what he owes her. Brandon also admitted in court he had NO INSURANCE. This is not the first time he has done shady work. I have reported him the the BBB and Attorney General. Look at his google reviews. Check out "Deals Gone Bad" on FB, many others have pleaded with people to avoid him. Keep in mind some of his reviews are from his friends and wife. This man has only been in business five years and many people coming forward with issues and no resolution from Brandon. I have paperwork from the city stating Schultz is at fault, my adjuster and the engineer STILL Brandon refuses to do ANYTHING.

First of all, their communication is so easy and quick. I texted with them through the whole process, and they were SO helpful. Second, their timing. They do quotes with aerial view, so you get the quote SO quick, and then on their calendar almost just as quick! Between reaching out and the job being complete, it was like a week. I was amazed. Their prices were spot on, and actually a slightly better deal for the quality, than most of the other companies I was working with. Lastly, they didn't require a deposit, which isn't a deal breaker for me BUT a lot of other companies requires 50% down just to schedule and it felt so sketchy. I'm not sure why they're not rated the best company in the area, my experience with them was flawless. 10000000% recommend.
