That's how you know this business and the team really care about their patients and see them and respect them as real people. Chris also does an amazing job keeping my teeth healthy and clean, and I love my toothbrush pack freebie at the end of every visit. This is honestly the best dentist I've ever been to. I never had issues with billing, never any issues with insurance, appointments are alway on time, the office is very clean and oddly relaxing for a dental office, lol, and the staff is always helpful and great at their job! I definitely recommend.

All digital technology in this office from what I can see. One thing I like especially about this place is that I don't mind going there at all. In fact I actually look forward to it, which is a little odd since it is a "dentist office" after all. But the doctor always remembers my name, and remembers so many things about me, even if I just casually meet her walking on the street or in the skyway. The staff is without a doubt top notch. The doctor and her two main hygienists are all graduates of the UofM School of Dentistry, which I know is one of the best dental schools in the world. Very fun place too. Lots of laughter. Great care, which I guess is the main reason one should have Dr. Meysman as one's dentist. She and her staff really do care about me, how I am doing, and want to give me only the best care. One other thing: I really like how I understand the "battle plan" as far as the work I need. I always know all my options, and I can make the best decision about what to do. J&D Dental was able to see me within about a week to do X-rays. While doing some X-rays they found some fillings that also needed to be taken care of. When it came time to do my dental work I had a complete panic attack with tears and everything. Staff were super sympathetic and understanding. We came up with a new plan to skip the fillings and just fix the chipped tooth as a way to for me to get familiar with them. They even offered a prescription to help with the anxiety. Upon my return I felt extra cared for and appreciated that they explained everything they did beforehand. This place really listens and cares about the people coming in. Her dentist proposed that she removed the infected tooth all together and replacing it with a new one. The estimated cost, with insurance, was $10,000. Afraid of losing her tooth, she asked a friend what to do. Her friend referred her to Park Dental at LaSalle Plaza, particularly Dr. Chris Fondell. Thankfully, she was able to schedule an appointment with him within a few days. The staff at LaSalle Plaza is incredibly helpful and kind. I accompanied my mom to the appointment. The clinic is comfortable, spacious, and bright. The appointment went incredibly well with Dr. Fondell. His kindness, determination, and expertise helped reassure my mom that they could save her tooth. You could really tell that Dr. Fondell genuinely cares about his patients and tries his best to help them. After a referral to a gum specialist and further cleaning, my mom will keep her tooth! A simple change in hygiene through brushing techniques, cleaning, a new tooth brush, and quarterly visits to the clinic is all she needs to keep her tooth. Not only will my mom save thousands of dollars, she has also found a new clinic that works toward her health and happiness rather than profiting off of unnecessary procedures. As I'm newer in town when making my appointment they said they took my insurance, could fit me in over my lunch hour, and I thought everything would be peachy keen. WRONG-O! I got to the office, gave them my insurance card, filled out the paperwork, and while the receptionist said they would check on my insurance the dental hygienist (Wendy) said I could come back. I looked to the front desk ladies for the A-Ok on their end to go back and they said nothing so I headed back. Early on I realized that this was going to take a lot longer than I expected as Wendy seemed to be off in never-never-land. She was taking forever...alright, I'm just going to say it...sometimes technology makes things harder, more complicated, and more involved than it need to be. Yes, they did have TVs in the ceiling to keep patients entertained, but I wouldn't need to be entertained if she did her job in the efficient and timely matter that she should have! Then the dentist came in and talked to me for like 10 minutes! Cool you might think as most dentists only come in a give a quick OK or we need to see you back in here for this or that, but I couldn't take him seriously as he talked with no conviction I was thinking "Are you REALLY a dentist or just a stunt double?" After the dentist finally stopped talking quietly (to himself it almost seemed) and my time in the office ticked to over an hour, Wendy came back in a said the ladies upfront finally got around to checking on my insurance and it turns out they DON'T take it like they said...or rather didn't say before they let me be seen by their office. At this point I was sooooo frustrated! I talked to the billing person on my way out who gave me a discounted rated because of the misunderstanding and I was livid saying "I would have never come here if I had known you didn't take my insurance. When I called to make my appointment you guys said you took it. I have dental insurance for a reason!" I told them to bill me and now am dealing with the back end of a stupid mistake at the front end. If they had any accountability as a business they would verify a patient's insurance before they are seen. All I can say is DO NOT GO HERE!

I happened to read some of Dr. Clavin's Google reviews (which were very good) and decided to give it a try. In setting up my appointment via email (they were SUPER responsive!), I let the team know I was a bit nervous and apprehensive about visiting a dentist after all this time. They made the appointment process easy and comfortable. Getting to the office was really easy and Dr. Clavin and his dental hygienist were, in a word, incredible! They both walked me through what they were going to do and asked if I had questions/concerns as they went which set my mind at ease. I have a cap on one of my front teeth I've been able to keep for almost 20 years (10 years beyond the "life expectancy" of caps) and it makes me SUPER AGITATED and anxious when most dental hygienists pick at it because it feels like they are 'loosening' the cap. I also happen to have a very small mouth which can make regular procedures such as whole-mouth x-rays and scheduled cleanings highly uncomfortable if not downright painful. I let them know about these concerns and anxious feelings and they did everything RIGHT to make my visit as comfortable as possible (in addition to just *listening* to my concerns, which, honestly I think most dental patients don't feel happen). But not here! DR. CLAVIN AND HIS TEAM ARE JUST TOP-NOTCH!!!!! I would give them 10 stars if I could! Dr. Clavin's office has the latest in dental technology and it, along with their amazing bedside manner, completely changed my ENTIRE dental experience. Did I mention they show you your x-rays as they are taking it and basically make an interactive map of your mouth that you can watch them create on the big TV that's right in front of your chair? I will leave this 5-star review with this thought: I was afraid, uncomfortable, and nervous to go to the dentist for YEARS, but after leaving Dr. Clavin's office, I just wanted to go back the next day because it was such an AMAZING EXPERIENCE! Thank you Dr. Clavin's team for literally changing my life and future dental health!!!!
