We hired Vincent and Custom Scapes to install a path from the driveway and a small rounded seating area. We were very worried about drainage and the steepness of the hill for my elderly mother-in-law. Custom Scapes was timely, reliable, and detail oriented. They maintained excellent communication throughout the process. Admittedly, the path is a little steep for my mother-in-law to descend without assistance, but that is the fault of the terrain and not the company. The installed pavers are beautiful, solid and even. Safe for her unsure footing. Despite being in a water drainage path, there was absolutely no problem with flooding. Quality work! I would hire them again (especially if we decide to expand the area) Thank you!

We already have plans to have them back for another project! The crew is hardworking, efficient, respectful and kind. They started our project right on time, even when we still had snow on the ground, and they didn't complain at all! For this project the crew removed our old cracked concrete walkway and front porch and installed a new paver walkway and porch. They also helped us with some drainage issues and built a beautiful retaining wall along our driveway. We love how it all turned out! Vinnie is a dedicated, reliable and honest guy. He genuinely wants his customers to be happy with the work and he really listens to his customers. He has been flexible with us in scheduling and communicates throughout the project. Vinnie has also been super helpful in navigating the many decisions that come up with any remodeling work. We are excited to work with them again and absolutely recommend Custom Scapes to anyone looking for landscaping/hardscaping work.

We have never reached out to this business or provided them with our contact information, yet they have been contacting my partner daily to push services. It appears they are actively scraping public government or property records to cold-call local residents. Despite making it clear that we are not interested, the invasive disruptions do not stop. This behavior is predatory and incredibly unprofessional.

Santiago and his crew did an amazing job on my project! I had some drainage issues along the back of my yard and decided to have a French drain and raised bed around the perimeter of my yard. These guys came in and dug out about a foot or more of the bad dirt, installed a drain and erected stone blocks for the raised bed and filled in with good quality soil and mulch. The end result looks awesome and I look forward to spending many nights in the back yard looking at how nice it is. The crew worked hard every day, showed up on time and were respectful of my property. Santiago did a great job putting the project together for me and I highly recommend him for all your landscaping needs.

We had leaking in our basement and Gerardo came out for a consultation. He was super knowledgeable and thorough. His quote was reasonable so we hired him. He and his crew came out the next day to install a French drain. He always communicated on their arrival timing and gave me updates as the project processed. They all worked extremely hard and efficiently. Here's the best part, the next time it rained really hard Gerardo gave me a call to follow up about how the drain was working. He truly cared that their work was effective. We were out of town so we saw on our camera that there was a little bit of water still getting in the basement. So Gerardo made a trip out while it was pouring rain to inspect the property to see if he could find the issue. This was above and beyond my expectations!! Then his crew came back as soon as they could, added an additional drain, and did several trials to make sure the water was contained. I couldn't be more confident in this crew, their knowledge, work ethic, and reliability. Thank you Sea-Green!

I was fortunate that they had an opening in their schedule within a couple of weeks. They came out and, in less than a day, completely transformed our yard with major weeding, cleaning up last winter's leftover leaves & debris, and putting down compost. That was 3 months ago and the compost has helped SO much in keeping the weeds down to the point where I can actually maintain it (and enjoy my summer). LJ and his crew were prompt, friendly, and worked hard. I've worked with several landscape crews through my work in real estate and few have been this reliable and thorough. Highly recommend.

Gabe and Martin walked through before the start of the project to ensure they understood how to translate the plans into reality. Sage and Stone also worked with us on options to reduce the overall scope and budget, for instance suggesting we could lower costs a bit by doing some of the demolition and prep work ourselves (which we did). The project started on schedule and the team reliably showed up every single day for the next ten weeks. We had them remove and create a new retaining wall with Techo-Blocs, relocate a freestanding structure onto new footings, install pavers under the structure, and install a new composite deck. The team also leveled out and rebuilt a small path in the yard, evening out a slope and creating a more graceful grade by installing large 4' black granite steps. Everything was edged using Colmet to keep the lines clean and they even installed a freestanding outlet in the yard to bring power to the seating area. There were minor adjustments along the way and the team showed great attention to detail. For instance, the freestanding structure posts required a skirt to conceal the post brackets. These were hand scribed onsite and featured backcut cedar with an elegant slope, cleanly mitrered and sealed joints, and most importantly, sealed undersides to protect them from water damage. Small details like aligning paver joints with the natural lines in the steps or landing, finding materials to patch up areas of the house that were newly exposed by the updated deck profile, and concealing electrical lines were most appreciated. When the inevitable issues arose, Martin walked us through the situation and we quickly reached a suitable outcome that he effectively managed. I can't stress enough how hard everyone worked and that effort consistently carried to the end of the day until they cleaned up the jobsite. Tools were neatly arranged and materials were moved into inconspicuous places before the crew left everyday. The yard looks fantastic and we love spending time out there. We're extremely happy with their work and would love to work with them again! Highly recommended.

Our front yard had french drains that were inadequate. Years ago we installed too few, too shallow…read more We were going to re-do them ourselves, but I thought it would be a treat for my hubby to pay a pro to do this so that he could focus on his other projects (total kitchen remodel simultaneously) I knew Jeff & hoped that trading pro skills would serve all of us nicely. I am filled with remorse that I pushed my fella to pay this company to work in our yard. Each day he came home from work & was immediately angry. The crew were not executing as discussed. Each day my fella felt obligated to become the "general" on this job, outlining concerns, expressing expectations, offering use of OUR lazer level to ensure this is done BETTER than we could have done ourselves. Each following day, instead of relief that we had gotten on the same page, he would find yet another disconnect between expectation/agreed to processes, & further fear that we had made a bad decision here. Jeff is a very nice man. He listens to your concerns. He tells you he will make it right, even if HE PERSONALLY has to come help. However that doesn't actually occur. In the end, after all the funds were spent, we ended up with SEVERAL ugly surface drains (where there used to be none), far less topsoil than agreed to, a hardpan that was never dug down deep enough, nor properly graded & ultimately the job failed... the yard was now WORSE than before SLS started. Add to this, our backyard never got proper topsoil depth, our sand pit was filled with borderline gravel NOT sand, & we did not get the drawings/map for our irrigation system as promised. We hoped that things would "settle" eventually, even waited several months to be sure of drainage failure before expressing upset & insisting on remedy. We were promised that would happen in spring. We waited and heard nothing about starting the job/remedy. At this point, devastated at having thrown huge money away (excess of 10k)& watching my husband's face as he accepted that we are in fact going to have to SPEND more, & do it over again, I went over Jeff's head to the owner. They were ONLY willing to offer SOME dirt, & seed. They would not bring their machines over. They would not refund. As you can imagine, my husband was NOT willing to have the crew come back & attempt to do the work correctly, there was no reason to believe it would go differently. Now, after literally taking a full week off from work, & spending literally over 5k MORE, my fella has the front yard corrected. He did EXACTLY what we asked for, agreed to, & paid for, but NEVER GOT. We have pics to document that this is all true, as well as receipts for all of this. We tried so hard to make this a mutually beneficial experience. We hoped so much to sing SLS praises & continue referring them going forward. Sadly, now I warn against them. I lost a friendly connection that I valued & lost clients DESPITE never dropping the ball on my end of the professional exchange. No Good Deed Goes Un-Punished :(

Gerardo showed up, chatted with me about what I wanted, took measurements, and gave me a bid on the spot. I was moving into a house I was rehabbing and needed a portion of this fence done right away because I have a dog and he hustled to not only build the new portion I needed, but went out of his way to do some repairs on the existing fence to keep my dog safe and secure. He and the people working for him showed a lot of attention to detail, checked in with me often about the project to make sure it was coming along and looking as I expected, and every day at the end of the day the work site was clean and organized. I'm planning some plant installations and a new deck and Gerard's Landscaping is going to be my first call!
