A lot of kids who go here live in "rich person bubbles" and don't have much knowledge of the…read moreoutside world. Consequentially, these kids can be a bit elitist and oblivious, and sometimes downright mean. The school is essentially run by a few rich families who donate a lot of money. The class sizes are very small and if a kid is a little different or doesn't quite fit in, it can be very hard for them to find friends. Many of the kids have gone there since preschool, and have tight knit social groups that can be very hard for a new kid to break into. Though they have a lot of fancy stuff and nice facilities, the quality of education is ultimately not better than the Kettering city schools. In fact, attending Miami Valley teaches you much less about real life than the local public schools do, as the kids interact with only those of their own wealthier social class. I met a few really wonderful, kind kids when I went there for a short time, but they were the odd ones, the misfits who were raised well by their parents or who knew of life outside of the rich bubble. So, in my personal opinion, you would be much better off sending your child to the Kettering city schools. They would get a more well-rounded education, on a social and practical level as well.

I have had four children go through AAAA. The first 3, no problems. The 4th: what a nightmare. It…read moretook 4 months to get his 4 "Behind the Wheel" lessons! We had to call multiple times and each time we were lied to and told "he is next on the list to schedule" yet no call would ever come to schedule. Then when I would call again to ck status, I would be told he was 6th or 3rd or 1st etc. To add to this experience, once we finally had them scheduled, "Dave" actually called, on the day of the first lesson, to cancel and reschedule! We had to threaten to sue them to get my son through the course. I had actually recommended AAAA to another family and they STILL havent been able to complete the course! So frustrating! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AAAA!!!!!

My daughter started at this school in September and she absolutely LOVES it. I was looking for a…read morepart-time preschool close by for my kids to attend, and this school is perfect. Three mornings a week my 4 year old is engaged in learning with her peers. The 3-4 year old curriculum focuses on the seasons and learning the alphabet. For example, each week they have a letter to focus on. The first day of the week they learn about what sound the letter makes, what it looks like, and what things begin with that letter. At the end of the week each student is asked to bring in something for Show & Tell that starts with that letter. Throughout the year they compile an alphabet book so that by May they have a book with all the letters of the alphabet. They also learn about kindness, safety, health, and being a good citizen (I was so impressed when my 3 year old came home able to recite the Pledge of Allegiance on her own!). The teachers are great with the kids, making learning fun and interesting. The lessons are creative, challenging, and memorable for my daughter. If you're looking for an old-fashioned neighborhood preschool for your child to learn and make friends, this is it. The only reason I gave it 4 rather than 5 stars is I wish they were 5 days a week instead of 3.
