Big playground, nice teachers, my son really likes it there! If one thing to improve, could have more fruit varieties :)

The classrooms are always clean and well-organized, and the parent volunteer program is something we especially appreciate, it gives us a real window into the classroom and keeps us closely connected with the teachers. A special shout-out to Mrs. Lin, who is truly exceptional at what she does. She's warm and kind with the children while also being firm in the best way, gently guiding them through the Montessori approach. You can tell she genuinely loves the kids and the work. If you have a 2-5 year old, this is such an enriching environment. We feel lucky to have found Villa Montessori and would recommend it to any parent looking for a nurturing, thoughtful preschool. Five stars!

This is my 4 year old's second…read moreyear at Villa and he started as an extremely shy and sweet kid with no previous day care or school experience. In the past year, he has blossomed into an independent and assertive child, and he has learned a lot both academically and socially. Villa has an amazing ratio of 1-8 (3 teachers per classroom of 24 kids) that sometimes falls to 1-6 or 1-7. They are a true Montessori school, and the child stays with the same teachers for all the years. My son's two main teachers, Mrs. Fan and Mrs. De Silva, have been with the school for over a decade. My son has received a lot of individualized attention and loves his teachers. I think he would like to live with Mrs. Fan if given the chance. :) The teachers at Villa are extremely good at what they do and very passionate about Montessori education. When I went in for "observation day," each child was doing a different "job," so the teachers were managing 24 different activities, but everything was still very orderly. Even the tiny 2.5 year olds knew the rules and everyone knew to clean up. We really appreciate how diligent our son has become with washing hands, tidying up spaces, and wiping surfaces! Director Lin's leadership is also really exceptional. She is extremely organized, responsible, and sets clear expectations for the kids and parents. I love that the handbook, documents, twice-a-year report cards, and paperwork are all in good order. She is also very hands-on and I have seen her consoling a crying child in her lap, spoon feeding another child during lunch, and taking the time to talk with the kids individually. I am so impressed that she takes the time to get to know every one of the forty-some kids at Villa. She works many many hours at Villa and commutes from an hour away. Villa is not just a job for her - this is her life's purpose. Everyone at the school is very responsive and excellent with communication. Karen (who manages most of the administrative tasks) and Director Lin will usually respond to messages on Brightwheel within a few hours. We really appreciate how they take parent concerns very seriously. The flexibility of programs at Villa is also great - they have AM program (9-12 pm), PM program (1-4 pm), PM plus extended care (1-5 pm), full day (9-4 pm), or full day plus extended care (9-5 pm). I feel very lucky to be able to enroll my child in a half day program so that he gets a few hours of school every day, and we still get enough hours to go on an adventure together outside of school. One really brilliant and unique thing about Villa is that their after-school program (school ends at 4, there is another hour of after school until 5 pm) teaches the children Mandarin Chinese! I enrolled my son in the after school hour just for the Chinese class - Mrs. Fan and Mrs. Liu are both excellent Chinese teachers from Taiwan. I sat in on one class to see what it would be like, and was astounded that all of the kids had excellent pronunciation. Chinese tones are very difficult so it was really surprising to see a room full of non-Chinese kids speaking perfect Chinese! Lastly, the other Villa families also makes this place special. Villa is a non-profit with a governing board that is made up of parents. We really appreciate the parents that have taken on this responsibility. We have also made many friends at Villa, and really appreciate the sense of community. We truly couldn't have asked for a better preschool experience and will definitely miss this school when our son graduates!

All the teachers have been fantastic! My eldest's first teacher was Mrs. Fang and I thought she was the best teacher possible, so patient and caring, and taught the kids so much. However, I later realized that all their teachers are very good! I was a little worried initially when I found out my younger kid's first teacher wouldn't be in Mrs. Fang's class but again was pleasantly surprised that Mrs. Celia and Mrs. Gul are just as great and he has adapted incredibly fast. The teachers really care for the kids and have immense patience too. He isn't potty trained now, but I imagine like for my eldest, the teachers at Little Tree will train him before he's 3. I remember dreading doing potty training and by the time I thought about starting, turns out they had been practicing at school already so I didn't have to put in any effort. Academics wise I have been incredibly impressed too. They learn a lot of Chinese language and cultural things including poems which I can barely understand. For English, I tried to teach my kid the ABCs and reading the BOB books but over the years I have learned I don't have to do much actually since school has prepares them well. After just 2.5 months I can see my 2 year old has grown a lot and can sing the ABCs, learned to clean up, and communicates much better. My eldest in TK age can really well and even reads me stories now. One of her classmates that changed schools a few months back told me that the new school is not nearly as advanced and didn't realize how much our kids had learned there. When my eldest started transitioning to the next class, I really appreciated how the teachers would take her over to the new class and let her check out the place for 1-2 weeks before the transfer so she can get familiar slowly. The teachers also check that the kids are actually ready to be moved up both emotionally and academically. This was in contrast from my friend's preschool when they would just move kids once they were at the age, and her kid ended up adjusting very well and couldn't catch up with the older kids. We had several transitions and each time very smooth. I also like how the school really celebrates all the holidays and puts on great shows throughout the year, with the Christmas holiday performance being one of the biggest ones. I love watching the kids sing and dance in both English and Chinese. Lastly, the director Mrs. Amanda and teachers are all very cautious with the kids. I get notified if my kids have some scratches or bruises even if they were there in the morning when they got to school. If they fall or bump themselves, they will also tell me. One time my kid got a little pebble up her nose and they were very worried, calling me that they were trying to get her to sneeze it out or else I would need to take her to the doctors. I trust Little tree to take care of my kids well. I know I wrote a bit of a long essay but I just have a lot of positive things to say about them. Overall, highly recommend sending your kids here! I don't believe you will regret the decision.

My second son Jacob is growing fast and I will definitely consider placing him in Little Tree at Cupertino again for pre-K. All in all I highly recommend this school as the place for little kids to learn and grow!

Here's what stands out: + THE TEACHERS: This is what makes Happy Days special. Our kids' teachers have known them since they were babies and toddlers. They know each child's personality, what lights them up, and what they need on a hard day. Every staff member greets our kids by name at pickup -- not just their classroom teachers, everyone. That kind of continuity doesn't exist at larger programs. Some teachers also speak Spanish with our son, which is meaningful to our multicultural family. Many of them have been at Happy Days for well over a decade, they are clearly doing a great job at retaining their staff. + THE FOOD: Meals are cooked fresh on-site daily -- hot soup, fresh fruits and vegetables, balanced meals our kids actually love. Our picky eater eats things here she refuses at home. The daily soup has quietly helped with fine motor skills (holding a spoon, scooping carefully) in a way that feels like lunch, not therapy. + SIBLING CONNECTION: Our kids are in different age groups but share the same playground with the infant care area separated by an open fence. The open layout lets children of different ages interact naturally, and watching our two spot each other across the yard is the best part of our day. Ms. Simran does a phenomenal job of capturing these sweet moments on camera! +INFANT CARE: We started our youngest at 8 months. The 1:4 teacher-to-infant ratio, daily written activity logs, and classroom cameras gave us real peace of mind. Watching our baby hit every milestone with teachers cheering them on made the hardest part of going back to work so much easier. It was so hard when my daughter and I got sick often in the first few months, but the teachers were incredibly helpful in navigating that season. + POTTY TRAINING SUPPORT: Our oldest started in the transition classroom before being potty trained. The teachers were patient, encouraging, and never made it stressful -- for our child or for us. The kids are still obsessed with Ms. Rosie to this day! + CULTURAL CELEBRATIONS: Happy Days embraces the diversity of its families through events and classroom activities. For a multicultural family like ours, this matters more than any test score. We love the Diwali, Easter, Lunar New Year, Earth Day, St Patrick's Day and other festivities so much! +MS. STEPHANIE: She knows every child and every family. Responsive, honest, and genuinely invested. You can tell this isn't just a business to her. She's been at the facility for over 25 years and is truly committed helping these kids thrive. We're now navigating the graduation out of Happy Days and the hardest part isn't academics -- it's the thought of leaving Happy Days. Our kids didn't just go to daycare here. They grew up here. If you're touring schools and feeling overwhelmed: go visit Happy Days. You'll feel the difference the moment you walk in.

Our youngest attended from six months old until smoothly transitioning to TK last month. We got to know every classroom and teacher, all of whom are professional, kind, experienced, and well-matched to the ages they care for. We really appreciate the attention to detail for kids' daily and developmental experience, and the level of coordination required to provide such a consistently high experience. Because we started daycare during COVID, we especially appreciated the cleanliness of the facility, having two doors/classroom, plenty of backup care options if a teacher was out, and the outdoor play spaces (including a covered play space so they can still run around when it's raining!) We love the sanity-saving healthy lunch/snack program, the flexible hours, the year-round holiday celebrations and fun themes, the consistent communication, and warm generosity of the staff - especially Ms. Stephanie, who worked with us on everything from bottle transitions and naps to talking back and art projects. I wish we'd known about Happy Days when my older child was in daycare. I highly recommend to any family - this place is so worth it, especially for dual-career couples who don't have endless work flexibility. Knowing our child was so well cared for at every age and stage took an immense pressure off of me every day. We look forward to visiting soon!

We enrolled him at 12 months old, knowing he'd be in good hands after having such a positive experience with our older child, who started at Primrose 3 years ago and still attends the school today. Post-pandemic, finding a school that prioritized health and safety was especially important to us. A few things that really stood out during our time in the Older Infant classroom: * Exceptional communication. We received regular updates through the Procare app, and the teachers always took the time to talk with us at pickup about how his day went. If anything seemed out of the ordinary--whether it was teething, mild symptoms, or a change in behavior--they reached out right away and kept us updated throughout the day. That level of communication gave us so much peace of mind. * Individualized care. The teachers took the time to understand our son's food allergies and eczema, followed his care plan carefully, and checked in often. We always felt confident that he was safe, well cared for, and getting the extra attention he needed. * They celebrated every milestone. One of my favorite parts was how excited they were to share his accomplishments with us. From taking his first steps and learning new words to making new friends, they truly felt like our partners in celebrating his growth. * A warm, caring environment. My son is definitely a Velcro baby, so I was nervous about going back to work. The teachers made that transition so much easier, and he quickly formed strong bonds with both his teachers and classmates. Even now that he's moved up to the Young Toddler classroom, he still gets excited to see his old teachers in the hallway, which says so much about the relationships they built with him. A special thank you to Erika, Chinara, Betsy, and all of the support teachers for the love, patience, and care you showed our son every day.

He was unhappy, didn't enjoy going to school, and eventually told us he didn't want to go to any school anymore--especially not an English-speaking school. A friend recommended this preschool, so we decided to give it a try. After just one trial day, he came home and told me: "Mom, I want to go back to that school. I really like it there." That was the first time in a long time we had heard him say something positive about school. Because of how much he liked it, we decided to transfer him here. I was initially a little concerned because it is a bilingual Chinese-English preschool. We had previously tried another bilingual program where English exposure was quite limited, and I worried his English development might slow down. Fortunately, that was not the case at all. The English teachers speak excellent English, and the children receive plenty of English exposure throughout the day. Over time, we saw his English improve significantly while he also continued developing his Chinese. These days, he will sometimes speak English to us at home without being prompted. What impressed us even more was how the teachers handled his separation anxiety. When he first started, drop-offs were difficult. There were many mornings when we had to hold him, comfort him, and help him through the transition. The teachers were incredibly patient and caring. They took the time to understand him, help him make friends, and gradually build his confidence. Little by little, things changed. One day, after he had been at the school for a while, he told me: "Mom, I want to be the first one at school." As a parent, that moment meant everything. Today, he happily goes to school, has close friends, enjoys learning, and talks positively about his teachers and classmates. There are also many practical things we appreciate as parents: - The school app provides daily photos and videos, which gives us peace of mind and helps us stay connected to his day. - Tuition is reasonable compared with many other preschools in the area, and lunch and two snacks are included. - They offer summer camp, backup care, and after-school options, which are incredibly helpful for working parents. - The school closes less often than many other programs, making childcare planning much easier. When the school was scheduled to close for Juneteenth, they listened to parent feedback and arranged affordable backup care for families who needed it. - The outdoor playground is large, and there is also a spacious indoor activity area for rainy or very hot days. - The school often goes above and beyond in thoughtful ways. For example, they purchased a Monterey Bay Aquarium membership that families can use for free, encouraging parents to take their children out to explore and learn during school breaks. They also provide things like printed graduation photos and keepsakes at no extra cost. These may seem like small details, but together they show how much thought the school puts into supporting not only the children, but also their families. Looking back, enrolling our son here was one of the best decisions we made during his preschool years. Most importantly, this school helped transform a child who didn't want to go to school into a child who genuinely loves going to school. For that, we will always be grateful.

She also made friends and it's always amazing how kids grow and start having social interactions. Big thanks to teachers at wonderland again, and I would recommend this school to any parent.
