We are so grateful for the love and care that Ms. Sally and her assistant have shown Lucas. Since joining the daycare at 13 months old, he has grown into a more confident, curious, and independent little boy. The teachers have nurtured his language, creativity through music and art, and social development with so much patience and care. We've also seen him learn to follow routines, listen better, and develop positive behaviors. Lucas is always excited to go to school and happily walks into the classroom each morning. He loves his teachers and friends and often says their names at home. We truly appreciate the photo and video updates, as well as the clear and timely communication. Thank you to the entire team for making Lucas's first daycare experience so wonderful. We highly recommend this daycare to any family looking for a warm, safe, and nurturing environment. read more

Finding the right childcare is stressful, especially for language immersion, but we are obsessed with this place. We've been sending our daughter for 6 months now. Ms. Sally is amazing--so warm and genuinely loves the kids. It gives us huge peace of mind dropping our daughter off knowing she's in such good hands. She sends regular updates so we know what activities are going on. We chose Children's Cottage for the bilingual aspect, and the results are instant. Our daughter is picking up Mandarin vocabulary and life skills! We realized pretty soon her utensil skills were all developed at school because she surprised us one day by asking for a fork at dinner! The best part? She loves her friends. We just went on vacation and she kept asking about her classmates by name and clearly missed the fun. She was genuinely excited to go back to school. If you want a bilingual program where your toddler will thrive and be loved, look no further! read more

Our family had a very positive experience with Children's Cottage. My son usually takes time to warm up in new settings, but he settled in happily here. He especially enjoyed being in Sally's class. The classroom is bright, roomy, and very clean, with plenty of space for little ones to move around, play, and burn off energy. One of the best parts for us as parents was seeing how much he looked forward to going each day. He would come home chatting about school, and it was clear that he felt safe, comfortable, and engaged. He also made his first friends here, which was really special for our family. We are very thankful for the kind and welcoming atmosphere at Children's Cottage and truly appreciate the care and attention given to our son. read more

We love Children's Cottage and our 3-yr-old daughter is very happy there. Her older brother also went to Children's College, and we loved the experience so much we made sure our daughter was also lined up to go. Sally runs a great home daycare, with healthy homecooked meals, plenty of playtime, and, of course, lots of learning. Our daughter's Mandarin has improved so much in the past year at Children's Cottage, and she is always excited to go to daycare. I appreciate that we get lots of pictures and videos through the Facebook group, and also important updates via text. Overall it's been a great experience and we highly recommend Children's Cottage! read more

My daughter went to children's cottage daycare and got a good care from Ms Sally. We feel safe to put our daughter in Children's Cottage daycare. They do art craft, reading, and dancing in the cleans and bright classroom. They have morning and afternoon outdoor activities in the spacious backyard. Ms Sally also prepare nutrition lunch and snacks. My daughter came home saying she likes food a lot at daycare. Ms Sally helps children to build a good habit. My daughter sits reading books by herself which is a habit developed from Ms Sally. One time my daughter accidentally had head bump at home and need special care of her not to bump head again. We can't say enough wonderful things about Childrens Cottage. Our granddaughter absolutely looks forward to going to school every day. She used to fuss and complain about going to her old school. Now, even on the weekends, she still asks to see Miss Sally. The school is extremely clean and well-organized. All of the teachers are so experienced and caring towards the students. The snacks are all healthy and the lunches are delicious. Even our picky little girl compliments Miss Sally's expert cooking all the time. There is no better preschool in Cupertino. We are very lucky to have a chance to send our son to the Children's cottage! We have a major life changing event last year, and we were in need of sending our son to his first daycare urgently. I was nervous about my son will have some adjustments period since there's no time for us to give him a heads up, but Miss Sally makes the transition so smooth that he loves to go back the next day! I'm so surprised! No tears! Miss Sally makes sure to send us updates frequently and let us know if there's any issues with the kids. My son refuses to wear mask before and he's able to wear it all day in the daycare now if necessary. He will sing the song he learned at the school and some finger games. I love the art piece that he brings home too! Looks like he always has fun with it. Our schedule has been constantly changing and Miss Sally is kind enough to accommodate our schedule change and let him re-enroll when we needed the most. I will forever appreciate the kind help that she offers throughout this difficult time! I'm sure my son will miss her too! read more

My daughter not cried at the beginning because her attention was draw by interesting things. We sent our 2 yo boy to Sally's place about 4 months ago. My son is really shy and doesn't speak much around people he's unfamiliar with. Sally is very patient and kind. She always encouraged my son to play with the other kids. She will ask her assistant to read books and speak to my son to try to open him up a bit. Also, Sally would keep us up to date on our son's progress by sending us photos and reporting on his daily situation and progress. Now my son has slowly opened up and become more and more active. He has also started to speak a bit more and love to smile at people. I really appreciate how Sally and her assistants Angela and May have helped our son and we definitely see improvement in his social skills. read more

If you want to find the most caring and well-rounded preschool, then look no further. Childrens Cottage has the best teachers and the cleanest learning facility ever. From the moment you meet Miss Sally, you know that your little one will be in excellent hands. Miss Sally is very experienced with child development. She taught our granddaughter to be independent and polite. Now, she's able to follow rules much better, and even wear a mask all day, which is something that she was never able to do at her previous school. Miss Sally incorporates art into her curriculum, and now, Baby Bella really enjoys drawing and painting. Previously, our granddaughter was very behind in her communication skills. After attending Childrens Cottage, her Mandarin has improved tremendously. She can express more complex ideas, and each day, we ask, "Wow, where did you learn that?" Bella tells us, " From my Miss Sally. I want to hug my Sally!!" We've never seen her grow this attached to a teacher before. This further attests to Miss Sally's attentive care. The teachers are all very talented and engaging with their students. One other important point- Baby Bella can't get enough of Miss Sally's delicious cooking. Our granddaughter is such a picky eater. She tells us that all the food from Miss Sally is so yummy. They provide healthy snacks and lunch. Baby Bella comes home from school happy, also because she's well-fed. Our only regret is not starting her sooner here. We wasted time in a different school with many classes and teachers who were too busy. If you want a nurturing environment where your child will thrive emotionally and developmentally, then Childrens Cottage is the right school for your precious little one. read more

Sally is super patient and knows how to encourage my son to try different new things. She also gives us quite a few tips for what we can do to teach/care my son when he is at home. Very useful tips. Sally is really good at teaching painting as well. I have seen all kids having the almost the same drawing in other places. My daughter has been in Children's Cottage for a year. It's one of the best decision we made for her: - She really loves the daycare and talks about school's friends everyday! - My wife and I are very glad to see her great progress in Children's Cottage in almost every aspect, such as fine motor, emotion control, social, language development. Miss Sally is a great teacher. Everyday, she keeps us updated about my daughter's behavior at school and provides many helpful suggestions to help her improve. Whenever we have any questions related to my daughter, she would respond to us pretty quickly. If the conversation is expected to be long (e.g., my daughter's overall progress for the past month), Sally would schedule video calls with us in her spare time and patiently discuss all the details (usually longer than half an hour). My wife and I super appreciate to have miss Sally as her teacher. Overall, I truly recommend Children's Cottage for families looking for daycares! read more

My son really enjoyed his time at Children's Cottage with Miss Sally (and Mei A-Yi) they were very patient helping my son transition to the preschool and with potty training as well. He really grew and learned a lot in so many ways - he became more independent with dressing, his language exploded... both Mandarin and English... and he began asking a lot more questions and speaking in more complete sentences. He always brought home fun arts and crafts projects and I like that he learned practical life skills like picking fruit, making lemonade, etc. The facility was very clean and my son never got sick while he was there. A nutritious lunch and milk were provided which was great for me, one less thing to worry about :) Thank you Miss Sally and Children's Cottage! read more

We were so lucky to have found Sally's Children's Cottage when we did, and I recommend her to everyone that asks. Sally took such good care of our son for 3 years, during which time, she taught him Mandarin, how to nap, fed him fresh food (that ruined him for the school lunches at his current after-care), and helped us greatly with potty training. My son was 13-months when he started, and took to Sally right away. I took to Sally's clean, organized, and colorful classroom and outdoor setup. She provides just enough structure for the kids to learn and feel safe, but at the same time, she isn't too rigid. Sally is there at drop-off and pick-up almost every single day to communicate with the parents, and all of her other teachers and caretakers are great with the kids. While I tried to be on time for pick-up, whenever I couldn't get there in time, she was always understanding, and during that time her son would play basketball with my son or she'd let my son help them wash fruit for their dinner. Fresh food and Mandarin immersion was enough to sell me, but her school became so much more for us. read more

We've been sending our son to Children's Cottage for 4.5 months and have really enjoyed seeing him grow and learn during that time! He started at Children's Cottage when he was 21 months old. We decided to start him on a part-time basis for two weeks as we transitioned away from our full-time nanny. Sally was super supportive during that time as it was a big change for us all. Drop-off was tough for about a week with some tears, but Sally would send regular text messages and photos with updates on how he was doing, which was so great for us to see. Now that my son is settled in, he loves it there. He's so happy in the morning when we arrive and drop-off is now a breeze. I love that he regularly gets exposed to new things with Sally and her group. He often comes home with new artwork and is always impressing us with new Chinese vocabulary that he learned at daycare. He's even picked up healthy habits that I know he learned from Sally, such as tucking in his chair at the table. We get regular feedback from Sally on how he's doing - from interacting with other kids to how he's eating/napping. Children's Cottage was recommended to us from two coworkers who both sent multiple kids through their daycare program. We had visited a few Mandarin home daycares in the Cupertino area and Sally's was by far, the best fit for us. During our visits, we saw how the space was well-organized and clean. I also appreciated that Sally was someone I felt immediately comfortable with. I'm so happy with our decision and I'd enthusiastically recommend Sally and Children's Cottage to any family! read more

We really enjoyed sending our 1 year old to Children's Cottage. We always felt our child was happy, safe, and well cared for with Sally. We really wanted a place that exposed our son to Mandarin and we were happy to see his language skills progress. Sally's home was the cleanest in-home daycare we visited; she maintains strict handwashing and masking practices. There is a spacious and nice backyard for the children to play. I also appreciated the daily creative activities to stimulate the kids-- painting, building, drawing, singing. You get daily updates with text and pictures which was really nice to see throughout the day. We changed daycares only due to work/location, but would have loved for our son to stay longer. read more

We learned about Children's Cottage from our friend who strongly recommends Children's Cottage while she sent all her kids to this daycare. I was so impressed by how clean and organized this daycare is during my first tour and then we decided to send our 1.5 years old girl to Children's Cottage since this June. My daughter had been stayed at home with us since she was born and this was the first time for her to stay away from us. Amazingly, she adapted to this new environment so quickly and she loves going to Children's Cottage from her first week there. Mrs. Sally is super helpful, responsive, and trustworthy and I really love how she teaches those little kids. My daughter learns a lot here and I can really see her development every single day! We feel so lucky to find the Children's Cottage and we feel really grateful to have our daughter stay in Mrs. Sally's daycare. I strongly recommend this place! read more

This is a wonderful place. I have recommended her childcare and preschool to many of my friends. My older son went here and now my younger son (22 mo) is also coming here. Sally and her helper (Mei) are very loving toward the kids they take care Sally provides routine and structure for the kids. Every Tuesday is sharing day. Kids bring a toy to share. Every Wednesday is phonic. My younger son started here at around 18 mo old and wasn't saying more than 5 words on a regular basis. He is now 22 mo old and can speak in simple sentences. He understands English, Cantonese and Mandarin. Thursday is art or circle time. Friday is art. Her philosophy is when they can can hold a pencil, she teaches them to draw a circle. She also teach the kids to clean up. While cleaning up, she teaches the kids to count to 20. Sally also take into consideration of your child's strengths and weaknesses when she looks after the kids. With my older son, she saw that he picked things up really fast. So even when he was 2, she put him with the 3 years and older kids and taught them together. With my younger son, she noticed that he was a good eater. Since 18 mo old, he has been eating with the older kids (3 years old and older). Lastly, Sally has pets in her home. She has a goldfish that the kids can feed. She has a dog that the kids can play with. She has a fruit and vegetable garden that kids can help harvest food from when they are in season. I can't recommended this place enough. read more

Sally is patient and experienced with young toddlers. One thing I really like about her is that she is very open and responsive to communications. She doesn't just shut down your concerns like many experienced teachers do. She listens to your concerns and and come up with solutions. Lunch and snacks provided is a big plus and save parents a lot of trouble. The facility is neat and clean, and is perfect if you are looking for a boutique, not so crowded daycare. You know your child is in good hands when he/ she can't wait to go to school in the morning. Thank you Sally ! read more

Children's cottage is my daughter's first daycare. I was very worried if she can make it because she always lose her temper at home and can hardly sit in the chair for more than 5 minutes before her daycare started. After having heard of our concerns, Sally invited me and my husband to her home for a one-hour discussion. During the discussion, Sally patiently asked every detail of our daughter and then told us she believed my daughter will be fine. The first week was as expected: my daughter cried badly. However, Sally and other two teachers paid great attention to help my daughter for the transition. She would also send us texts with photos about how she is doing at school almost every day, and schedule regular phone discussions about my daughter's progress. Now after three weeks, my daughter has make a very big progress: she can follow the rules, sit at chair to interact with the teachers for a long time and eat all the food in the daycare (this is something I never expected because she was such a picky eater!). I truly recommend Children's cottage to everyone looking for a Mandarin/English daycare. Actually, Children's cottage is also recommended by one of my friend and I'm really glad I took her advice. read more

Miss Sally also plans transitioning well for every new kid and make them feel welcomed, safe and have fun. My son came here when he was 2 and he liked to stay from kids when he was outside at that time. I felt so surprised when I saw my son cannot wait running into the daycare to play since day 2. It is a amazing change since coming to Children's cottage! The kids and staff in Children's cottage were so nice and friendly which I think an important reason my son loves to stay and play there.
