We also paid a significant fee--50% of the plant cost--for delivery and installation, bringing our total investment to over $2,500. Unfortunately, the plants never thrived. They turned yellow during both summer and winter and showed little to no growth. Over time, they have all died. I recently reached out to the nursery to discuss replacing them with arborvitae (at our expense) and asked if they would consider offering a discount on removal and installation. I was disappointed to be told, "there is nothing we can do." Given the outcome and lack of support, this was a frustrating experience, and we won't be returning as customers.

Avoid Ohio Mulch like the plague because their bulk products are garbage. Our landscaper switched…read moresuppliers this year without our knowledge and got our annual bulk delivery of 9 cubic yards of "triple shredded natural hardwood mulch" from Ohio Mulch. As shown in the photos, this mulch was barely single shredded given the very large size of the chunks. Deerfield Township does a better job chipping up tree branches. There were also bits of plastic and concrete mixed in with wood chunks. Had I checked the mulch before they put it down, I would have rejected it. We ordered topsoil from Ohio Mulch on Hauck Rd. a few years ago, and the topsoil was more like finely shredded mulch than topsoil. I even went to the place where the topsoil was delivered from to make sure that what I got was what they call "topsoil". After that, I said I would never buy from Ohio Mulch again, but, unfortunately, I didn't realize that my landscaper had switched suppliers to Ohio Mulch. It's no wonder that Ohio Mulch has been closing some of their locations. Their products are awful, and, from what I've read, their customer service is just as bad. My landscaper acknowledged that it was not the quality of mulch that they had put down in the past from their previous supplier and gave me a discount on what I received. They also acknowledged that Ohio Mulch is very difficult to work with, so they know I will not accept products from Ohio Mulch in the future.

Oh and for those that don't know- They don't actually send you a check for 11% of your purchase to cash. It's 11% of your purchase to spend.....at Menards. Which is ok.......it brings them repeat business and if you were working on a room remodel, this deal would really come in handy. I don't know that it's worth it for the whopping $13 bucks I spent today but hey, every little bit counts. So what is Menards? Is it a hardware store? Uh, sorta. Maybe it's a Big Lots on steroids..........which I think may be a more accurate answer. I do like the intrigue of the 11% back but what wasn't so intriguing were the prices. Average at best. And a bit on the high side on many items. I dunnu, I'll continue to check out their ads. It's not too far from home. If there's something I can't resist, I'll be back.
