Well, that's pretty much what happened after I started seeing Dr. Adam at Behm Muscle and Joint clinic. My sister and brother in law have been seeing Dr. Adam for awhile and now that I have insurance that covers chiropractic care I felt like I had nothing to lose when I was thinking about chiropractic care. Setting up an appointement and filling out the necessary paperwork was a breeze. The clinic website has it set up where you can fill out most of the information online and I think I may have had to sign a few things when I got there but I honestly don't remember because once I started seeing him my muscle pain went away. He starts out asking you a few questions and then determines what the best way to treat you is. At Behm Muscle & Joint I have now had my back adjusted, learned new stretches to help my shoulders and back, had dry needling done and he even scraped my muscles with this medal instrument that looks painful but it wasn't that bad. I love that Dr. Adam goes beyond just adjusting your back, he gives me exercises and stretches to do at home, reminds me how much water I need to drink every day and is always checking in to make sure I'm not feeling pain during my appointment. I have recommended him to one of my friends as well and I know she is finally feeling relief. Dr. Adam and his staff are friendly and welcoming. I was able to easily make an appointment over the phone for the next day and fill out the paperwork online and email it in. I am from out of state so they told me I would paying out of pocket and was pleased to hear they a 10% discount for paying cash and were EXTREMELY affordable. The office is really nice and clean with many different rooms, and the office staff was super sweet and helpful. Dr. Baker is awesome. He meet with me to get all the info on my issues and did a short exam. He was able to tell me a ton about my body that I didn't know and different things I can do to help it. I ended up going back a second time for an adjustment and some cupping. He came in on Saturday to do it and I just can't enough awesome things about him and his demeanor. After my…read moreinitial consultation I decided that I would try acupuncture, but before I could start acupuncture for fertility I had a pinched nerve in my back come on suddenly. Dr. Baker recommended acupuncture along with chiropractic care to help get the nerve calmed down. I was in so much pain I have to say I was skeptical at first. After a few sessions I was feeling much better. And after only a month of acupuncture once a week and chiropractic once a week Dr. Baker had me feeling back to normal! I battle the daily ins and outs of Ehlers Danlos, and with a recent scapular issue that would not…read morego away, I found myself working with Dr. Steskal and his Nurse Practitioner to see if there were any atypical or more non-conventional treatment options. They started me on peptides, and we have been doing adjustments and trigger point injections once a week. It is never perfect recovery as anyone with Ehlers Danlos knows, but I feel that they are always trying to think of other alternatives to try to get the persistent inflammation and muscle strain under control. I AM finding relief and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Today, I visited MD West One for a second opinion regarding a work-related injury affecting my…read moreright shoulder, arm, and hand, including symptoms of pain, swelling, purple/blue discoloration, and numbness. My goal was to gain clarity on my condition, as I previously felt I was not receiving clear answers--only recommendations for procedures--despite the impact this injury has on my ability to perform my job. The check-in process was efficient and professional. After being called back, I was weighed and taken to an evaluation room. Approximately ten minutes later, a nurse practitioner entered. She was friendly and took the time to ask detailed questions about the incident. She conducted an evaluation and asked whether my original provider had performed an X-ray of my hand or only a visual assessment. When I explained that only a visual evaluation had been done, she expressed concern that imaging had not been completed. She also stated that, based on her review of my chart, I did not have carpal tunnel syndrome but instead may have a rheumatoid autoimmune condition. This was new information to me and had not previously been communicated by my original specialist. I did note that my primary care provider at Methodist Hospital had once mentioned the possibility of an autoimmune issue but had not confirmed a diagnosis. The nurse practitioner indicated she would step out to conduct further research and return with additional information. Approximately fifteen minutes later, Dr. Jeffrey Tiedeman entered the room. He asked questions that I had already addressed and referenced my visit to the emergency room due to loss of feeling in my right hand. At that point, the experience shifted. He examined my hands and stated that an X-ray was needed to confirm a carpal tunnel diagnosis. I asked whether this could be performed during my visit, and he instructed me to follow up with my current provider instead. I explained that my current provider had not recommended or ordered an X-ray. I asked again for assistance, and my request was declined. It became clear to me that my concerns were not being fully addressed, and I did not feel supported in obtaining answers about my condition. Both the doctor and nurse practitioner then left the room without explanation and did not return. I waited approximately fifteen minutes before realizing the visit had concluded without closure, guidance, or next steps. This experience was disappointing, as I sought a second opinion to better understand my condition and receive appropriate direction for treatment. Unfortunately, the lack of communication and follow-through did not meet those expectations.

My treatment so far has been a success and while not a perfect process they do their very best to take care of their patients. My only real complaint would be the hours. They are only open Monday through Wednesday from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, and 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Also, their website information is sometimes outdated. For instance, the insurance they accept is not accurate on the site.
