I understand if there is a room full of patients waiting to be seen and due to the fact that there are so many patients, the dr may be running behind. But when you are the only patient waiting in the waiting area, I don't see how a wait of 40 minutes is logical. At least come in and tell the patient someone should be in shortly or be honest - it's gonna be a long wait. I'm required to make an appointment. What's the point of an appointment if it's the office practice to make patients wait 40 minutes or longer before a Dr will see them. My time is just as important as the doctors.
