I have a feeling that he had seldom washed intricately-shaped spindles. At the end of the day we pointed out that he missed some of the surfaces of the spindles. He returned the next day to re-do them (kudos, kudos - we had already paid him). We would have given five stars except for one thing: although he had very conscientiously moved the deck furniture off, he forgot to put the pieces back. (The grill was a bit tricky for us).
