A CAUTIONARY TALE - KNOW THE FACTS ABOUT YOUR STORAGE RENTAL SPACE BEFORE YOU STORE ANYTHING!…read more We stored our belongings at My Space Office and Storage II, Inc., 1657 S. Getty Street Muskegon, MI 49442 (1.231.726.3624) from June 2022 through November 2025. When we were moving our property out of the storage unit at the end of November, I was totally shocked (frankly, appalled and grossed out) to find what appeared to be raccoon feces literally on top of some of our belongings. (See photos.) I was even more astonished (and, to say the least, disappointed and dumbfounded) at the owner's response when, on the day we moved out, we brought the situation to her attention and showed her the pictures. Rhonda's initial response after looking at the pictures made it crystal clear that raccoons being in the building was not at all surprising. She said that whenever they found raccoons on the premises, they got them out of there, drove them a few miles away, and released them. (I should note that I am totally in favor of this humane removal process. What I object to is the failure to keep them out of the building.) Then she said something along the lines of, "Well, you have insurance on your stored property, don't you?" When I replied that that really wasn't the point, Rhonda didn't in any way take ownership of the damage done to our belongings, let alone offer to try to make things right. While I would readily agree that My Space should not be held responsible for damage done to customers' property by forces/events beyond their control (like horrible storms or other Acts of God, for example), the My Space Rental Agreement seeks to relieve the business of any liability for ALL losses/damage, even when it has clearly been caused by their negligence (i.e., their knowingly allowing wild animals access to the premises and to stay there long enough to damage their customers' property). And My Space's failure to disclose to potential customers that they had a known and persistent raccoon problem in the building is unconscionable. So I guess the lesson is, "Buyer Beware." I would strongly suggest that anyone considering utilizing My Space Office and Storage II, located at 1657 Getty Street in Muskegon, be sure to undertake some serious research beforehand, inspecting the premises, asking for references and questioning the owners/employees about the security of the premises from animal intrusion. I truly regret that we didn't have the foresight to do so before engaging them for three years and five months and paying them over $10,000 for the "privilege" of patronizing their business.

This is a great place to store your items. It is so clean and the staff is very friendly…read more There's a lot of options and it's a very cool building.
