What I mean is that there was not a bad part of this process. I am 16 hours removed from my first root canal and I. Have. Not. Felt. ANY. Pain. None. I felt no pain in the chair, I felt no pain yesterday afternoon, and I am feeling none this morning. Dr. Patel exudes an air of competence that I found very comforting and it made everything go so smoothly. I'm a high anxiety patient who is unreasonably terrified of dental work and I'm a jerk for not remembering the name of the Dental Assistant from my first visit, but her soothing and professional bedside manner kept me there feeling listened to and safe at my first visit and 'Cassie' was fantastic in the same role the day of the root canal. They treated me with such compassion and I am so appreciative. 'Jay' handled my cleaning and I can't say enough; I've never had a cleaning go better and she took the time to answer all of my questions and talked me through everything. She is a goddess. The front office staff has been judged very harshly in these reviews and I can only say that I found them to be helpful and accommodating. This is the practice you're looking for. You should call.

Dr. Patels primary focus is his bank account. absolute joke of a DR. Make sure you triple check your bills and appointments as they will try and double bill or over bill you for things. my daughters procedure was suppose to be a frenectomy and filling in ONE APPOINTMENT. Like the selfish money hungry people they are, they scheduled 2 appointments one for the filing and one for the frenectomy. so I was given 2 estimated bills about 200$ a piece, Both bills also had charges for nitrous oxide. I was concerned about my child having nitrous used on her twice and asked why the filling and frenectomy were not being done together in 1 appointment . I was first told it wasn't possible. after I kept questioning the women on the phone she went to talk with Patel and came back saying they would "allow me" to merge the two appointments. (so kind of them to allow me to keep the money(about 200$) they tried to screw me out off, by making 2 appointments with nitrous instead of one.) on sept. 14th my daughter had her procedure . . .which was a horrific nightmare. I was charged 100$ for nitrous and while they put the mask on her face they never talked her through taking calming breathes. she was upset and crying and saying she could still feel where they had " already numbed" . . .both patel and the hygienist kept telling my daughter " No Reason To Cry" & they would show her the tools first, or explain first before they did anything, just so she would calm down or mover her hands from blocking her face. . but they never did explain or show her creating alot of fear an disturst for my 8 yr old. in the end they had another hygienist come in at the last second to abruptly hold my daughters arms down, at this point she was screaming in fear and pain as patel began to slide a laser tool back and forth on her frenulum. Id also like to let everyone know just in case you decide to traumatize your child here, they Will Deny your request for a school note stating, " we have patients that get dental implants and are back to work in 2 days" Now I'm not gunna even get into how ridiculous comparing an adult and childs recovery period is. but it speaks volumes on patels arrogance and lack of compassion for his patients especially children. The piece of metal couldn't be extracted, and I was sent back to Dr. Katz to extract the tooth. Not only did I have to endure the pain from the infections but had to pay the specialist for the amount my insurance did not cover. When I complained to Dr. Katz about the broken wire, he said, "You always take that risk." I stated that I didn't think I should pay for any of the extraction procedure. Dr. Katz did accept my insurance payment and did not charge me for my portion of the extraction procedure.

But I felt like the previous dentist was just trying to get money out of me! -They were VERY hesitant to give a referral for a wisdom tooth extraction to anywhere but one specific place (which didn't take my insurance) Once I finally jumped through all the hoops for them to finally release my information to who I was asking them to, they only sent part of my record and I had to get X-rays redone at the place I was getting my wisdom teeth out because they "didn't have it" -During my 3rd cleaning they took the X-rays again because the "didn't have them" How do you misplace X-rays...? ‍ - the new dentist was really demeaning, mansplained EVERYTHING to me, even restated something I literally just said, and used my name every other second thinking he was "connecting with me." All of a sudden I get a collection notice in the mail saying I owe them money for my last cleaning.... I called to ask why I didn't get a bill or a call or anything. They claim they sent 8 bills before sending to collection but I did not get 1... Needless to say: proceed with caution.
