Been a few years and many miles but they're still the number one florist on Oahu for me. It's staggering the amount of flowers, leis, haku, etc are offered here. Needed some fresh flowers for someone's birthday and I didn't want to play "roses roulette" with the typical less-than-stellar selection at the...ah... neighborhood grocery stores' inventory which is very convenient, but comes at the expense of quality. Ms Emma at Watanabe was absolutely brilliant, kind, patient and helpful with my questions. She engineered a most lovely arrangement complete with 2-dozen South American long stems, baby's breath, and St John's Wort flowers! Not only did they look amazing the day of the event but a week later they were still intact and blossoming slowly. Most other florists the petals start to fall on day 2 or 3. Will be back. Thank you, Twinsie "Auntie" Nadine C., for gifting me the most gorgeous Lei Po'o. I wore it on my birthday and felt ridiculously loved. Multiple staff at Arancino at The Kahala complimented me on the head garland and I was tickled. I even took it with me to Waikiki beach to take photos with it. Gorgeous, lightly fragrant, and it lasted the whole trip with a light spritz of water in a bag and popped into the refrigerator. What else can be said? Come here and get all your leis here. The quality is outstanding! I looked at Patty's Instagram posts and was blown away by the colors, varieties, and beauty of her creations! She has a good eye and is very professional! I just had to meet her after passing by the shop all of these years! We were picking up lunch from the restaurant next door. The free, small, shared parking lot is much appreciated! I went inside initially for the air-conditioning. Then, I met Patty - she is so sweet! She showed me a lei po'o (crown of flowers for the head) that she just finished... ooh! They are well-done and good quality too, they lasted throughout the rest of the day without refrigeration. I did a surprise official Lei Ceremony presentation after the mother son dance. I presented shell lei's that were my parents from the 1970's, then presented a set of Shell and Kukui nut Lei from my husband and I to the Bride and Groom. Then I gave the Maile and Floral Orchids to the Bride and Groom to present to each other as Husband and Wife. I had the DJ read the presentation connection to Hawaii as well the Historical Meanings of each Lei as they were presented. After the Lei Ceremony I had the DJ play the Hawaiian Wedding song sung by Elvis Presley taken from the Movie Blue Hawaii with the Hawaiian translation for a second dance for the Bride and Groom, It was a very special moment.

The prices are unreasonably high, but I still placed an order because I wanted to give my daughter something nice. However, I soon received a phone call asking, "What would you like to do if the item you ordered is not available?" Since I couldn't clearly remember the exact name of the item, I told same name what I ordered and the staff responded rudely, saying, "you can't understand what Im saying." I felt very offended by the disrespectful tone, but I looked it up and told them again. How am I suppose to remember the name? lol I then provided a second option, but I clearly stated that I wanted the first item, and if it was unavailable, they should contact me. However, without any follow-up or confirmation, they shipped the second item the next day, and it is arriving today. I cannot understand this at all. If the item is unavailable, it should be removed from the listing, yet it is still being shown as available. I think that is the trap to purchase. I will never purchase from this place again, and I plan to report this to the consumer protection agency.
