He answered every question we had and explained how the different parts of the house work, so we understand our home a lot better now. He also pointed out a few things that could turn into problems later. His report was detailed and well organized, and it made talking to our builder much easier. We could point to specific items and photos instead of trying to describe them from memory. I'd recommend Michael to anyone building or buying a home. We plan to book him again for our final inspection in January.

He works very fast; we had the report later that evening, which we sent over to the supervisor of the home builders. This gives them time to go over it and fix everything Mike finds. Contacted another home inspector prior, but they were going on vacation, so he even recommended Mike as well, saying he is very good. He allowed us to be present during the inspection; we gave him space so he could work and we wouldn't be hovering over him. Since we were there after he was done, he would show me things and tell me things. I had a few questions, and he answered everything and gave me a lot of helpful tips on what to expect as a new homeowner and what to look out for out here in this area. Like what are more common things and things we should do as preventive maintenance and such.

The thoroughness of their inspection of my new home has been just awesome and gives me some peace of mind ensuring that my new home is up to specs. Obviously they found numerous defects in my new home build, which is to be expected otherwise they would not be worth the $$$ spent. I look forward to working with them in the future. I only wish that they could make follow up inspections to ensure defects were properly corrected at no cost. Unfortunately this is LV where no one does anything for free :)- However, with that said I believe they provided significant value! I honestly think anyone who purchases a home is just completely insane if they do not hire their own inspectors. Anyway it's been a joy to work with this team!

Purchasing a home is a big deal and if you're looking at getting an inspector, we trust that they can be attentive to the details maybe we aren't trained to look for. Jason Henderson couldn't even get the correct house to inspect, I don't feel confident in his capacity to inspect the inside of the home. He was scheduled to inspect the neighbors house, proceeded to snoop in our backyard, open up the water tank on the ground and continue to rummage through the front yard landscaping, which was all caught on camera. When confronted, he dismissively claimed he "got the wrong house." I would not trust the work of someone who can't even get the correct house to inspect.

I'm writing this review because I'm purchasing an alternative property (previous deal fell through) and the report that was completed (by the seller) was far more difficult to read and not nearly as comprehensive. The detailed report and excellent communication gave us confidence in moving forward with our purchase. I highly recommend Spectrum Home Inspection, and especially Jemic, to anyone looking for a trustworthy and experienced home inspector. We will absolutely be using them again for our next home purchase.

This is very frustrating especially when my hard earned money is being spent to pay for a service that is sub par, then to have pay to for something that should have been addressed by the company that you paid to inspect it. Then to have to deal with horrid smells in your home because of someone else's mistake. I read to your "scheduler" exactly what the home warranty plumber put in the report. I read word for word what the warranty denial email said including the P-trap being installed incorrectly. What your scheduler chose to relay to you is in her not me. All the plumbing that the plumber saw was clearly visible for the inspector. No walls were opened. If your inspector is not aware of how a P-trap should be installed then maybe he needs more training. In your voicemail you (Lynn) stated that it was an easy fix for a handy man. This is pretty clear that you are trying to pass the buck and assume no further liability or responsibility. At no point in time did your voicemail say that you would send someone else out to look at it. But it is obvious that you would rather point fingers than take any responsibility. BTW, I was speaking to your scheduler on the blue tooth in my car, I am hearing impaired and I have to turn the volume up higher in order to hear clearly. Honestly, I was in tears speaking to your scheduler because I am getting very frustrated with this companies ripping me off . The volume was up but o was never rude or nasty to your scheduler.

I have security cameras inside my home so I reviewed the footage of the inspector from the master bedroom and found that the inspector never physically got under the sink to view a leak. He simply stuck his camera under the sink and snapped a couple photos and walked away. The inspector also stated that the air conditioner was not putting out adequate cold air however my home is freezing cold and even my real estate agent said that the inspector is wrong. I placed a phone call to the inspector and asked if he could come out and show me what was wrong and he refused to do it without me paying for an additional inspection. When I asked the inspector where the leak was under the sink cabinet he didn't know and told me that he took a photo which I clearly saw him do but does not point out where any leak is. Everything was checked under the sink and everything was completely dry and free of leaks. In the inspectors notes he also stated that the shower nozzle was leaking however after checking on this, very little water was dripping out from the bathtub spout while the shower water was running which I found was perfectly normal as most bathtub spouts do not stop 100% of the water from dripping. It wasn't even worth noting however I did the research and found that most bathtub spouts do not stop 100% of the water from dripping while the shower is running. The inspector even went as far as circling bird poop outside on the patio rug.....lol Not very good
