This is just to bring attention to the owner- he has a relative operating a freelance appliance…read morerepair job under the same name. This relative goes to the clients houses semi-works on their appliance- says they need to order a part. Maybe stays in contact for a couple days- but then never replies or gets back to them. This has…read morebeen through American Home Shield. 1st Rate appliance Repair came here, and examined the oven and was working with AHS to repair or replace. There has been a lack of communication, not with 1st Rate Appliance, but with American Home Shield who failed to contact me with updates. I hope this is resolved, but I have absolutely no complaint with 1st rate Appliance Repair. Any miscommunication has been with American Home Shield, not them. 1st rate Appliance Repair has been excellent and, in fact, did the oven repair last year.

Couldn't fix or repair two gas burners…read more However. It's not the fact they could not repair or fix them it is the fact that my burners have been there now for 3 months an they have not yet once called me to tell me they can't fix them. The first time I called I was told it would be 2 weeks before the could look at it (this was 2 weeks after I dropped the unit off) I called a month later an he said he had looked at it but couldn't give me any answers an to call him in a week or so. I called him two weeks later an he said he would try an gut the unit an rebuild. My last call was today an the told me there's nothing they can do an to come pick my unit up. It does not take 3 months to figure out you can't do anything with something. An the lack of communication was worse then I've ever seen.

Doing business with Joel at The Upholstery Shop was an exceptional experience. They have done…read moreseveral pieces over the last couple of years, and I have been extremely pleased. Mr. Marshall, that does the upholstery work, has done several of my antique pieces and his workmanship is great. He pays attention to detail and the character of the piece shows through. The most recent items that I took to The Upholstery Shop were two antique wicker rockers that belonged my great grandmother and a small iron table that was painted gold a number of years ago. (I have posted before and after pictures) These items date back to the late 1800's, and have been passed down through my grandmother and mother, who, at some point, painted them brown over the original white. They have been in storage for a number of years, and I wanted to use them, but they were pretty wobbly and unsteady. Mr. Marshall made them sturdy and recovered them in the fabric that I provided and they turned out great and they are very useable. I told them when I took the little gold table to them that I really didn't know what could be done with it but Mr. Marshall worked his magic and I love my little iron table. Joel also freshened up my family pedestal table and chairs and made them look like new. "Thank you" to Joel and his crew for a job well done - I would definitely recommend!!
