This is a great concept, I couldn't get a reservation in the evening, but I came for lunch and was surprised by the service and food. The domes inside was significantly warmer, they also have a heater and will bring you a heated blanket. Lunch menu includes kids meal with paying adult which is nice. My hubby got gumbo and I got the braised short ribs. Both meal was great, a little on the saltier side. The kids had corn dog and Mac and cheese bites with fries, I also ordered their special hot chocolate for them. The service was great and we all really enjoyed the experience here. This is their second year doing this and you can tell they put a lot of effort into making it look nice with the lights and everything. Great concept!

Our three course meal included a deconstructed Caesar Salad, a duo of Braised Beef Short Rib and Herb Basted Chicken Breast, served with potatoes and vegetables. For dessert, we had Classic NY Cheesecake. The food was good, with nice flavours and presentation. The venue was nice and spacious, with LOTS of room for mingling. The service was excellent throughout. It was a good evening, far better than my previous visit.

You must register online Ajax.ca/skating way before your thinking of coming out for a skate, this can't be a spontaneous idea, keep reading to find out about our horrible excursion this Sunday. We arrived with no reservations. We were placed on a waiting list. I told the nice lady my sons will come collect their bracelets at 5:35pm if there is any no shows of the people that registered. This was at 4pm. I went back home. 2. At 5:40pm my kids call me to inform me that they can't get on the ice because they are not of legal age to sign the waiver. Yes you must sign a waiver for Covid tracing. I get it but why wasn't this told to me when I was there? So I have to leave home get back to the rink to sign the waiver. 3. By the time this was completed, the boys got to skate for 10 min. I'm sure your thinking be great full they even got to skate. However, we left home at 3:30pm the kids waited 1:45 outside. We are now leaving the rink at 6:25pm and they got ten min. of skating. I hope this helps other and you don't have to go through this the next time you decide to go for a skate on an outdoor rink.

It was the bust of Daniel David Palmer, the founder of chiropractic. Cool! Normally, it takes me some online research to figure out the history behind why a park has been named after someone. I liked that this park is a national historic site. Palmer was raised in Port Perry, self-educated, and created chiropractic treatment in North America. Yes, he totally deserves having a gorgeous park named after him. I appreciated the plaque of information, as I continued enjoying my treat while reading. Palmer park is huge! There are plenty of park benches. There's a playground and splash pad for kids, which was being used a ton of them on a 28°C mid-September day. You also get a nice view of the water, with folks fishing and walking. My gelato-sorbetto was melting. I decided to park myself and enjoy it. I was near the Port Perry grain elevator. I threw my empty up in the garbage and then read the plaque. This elevator is the oldest building in downtown Port Perry and sruvived a major fire. Impressive engineering! The Lakefront farmer's market is held at this park. I can see why. It's gorgeous and it's a nice gathering place for folks to shop, walk, and hang out. I liked being here on a sunny Saturday. Food brought from home, and saw a lot of people were really relaxed there. Some people liked to exercise or biking there. There was a lighthouse there, but it was pretty windy. My kid's hat almost flew out. We walked along the beach to another side of the park, kid's playground. It's not really big, but there were 2 parts, one for adults and one for kids. We planned to let my kid play with sands before, but the sands were a bit rough, I was a bit worried it might have my kid's feet sole cut. And we also needed to go for a long walk by the lakeshore. It's a nice place for the weekend with families there. Let's go next time again.

There's more information by the carving ifs you'd like to know more about the Elpis and the carving. There are several trails and the level of difficulty of noted by the number of hikers in the legend of the information board. Shade appears to be very important to me so I was happy that there's plenty of trees to provide shade on the trail. There's paved and unpaved trails within the park. There's also sheltered picnic areas, a playground, washroom facilities (that happened to not be open when we went) and a pavilion but that was also not open. I liked that there was hardly any noise from cars on the roads so you can fully take in your surroundings and enjoy nature while you're there.

PGC is a farmer's field course, located next to the auction house barn off Brock Rd. The city has…read morerecently sold off the back 9 of this course and it's now a 9 hole course, part of the east GTA Bruce's Golf Reward program. It's $25 including a cart which makes for fantastic value. The condition of the course was decent. I'm not a big fan of the layout as the pathways cross back and forth which causes for quite a bit of traffic on a few holes. Be careful where you park your car as the parking lot is only a few yards from hole #2's green! The set up on Hole #5, a 140ish par 3 over a valley, leaves only 5 yards to a low fence at the back of the green. Some folks are just plopping it over the fence to get a free lift. I tried to play it legit, but topped my ball into the valley, then pitching blind over the hill and over the fence anyways. Bah! Hole #8 is ridiculous. You have to carry 202 over a wide and sunken bunker on a par 3 where the clearing to the green is maybe 30 yards wide surrounded by forest. If you can't hit a ball long and straight, you're going to lose a few balls. I decided to take a 3 iron into the bunker and then try and blast out. Unless I'm getting a lot of wind, I'm not sure how I'd carry over the bunker and land on the green or drive the green with a wood and not roll through. Not the prettiest or fanciest place, but it's cheap and adequate. Hmmm kinda like my last date.

Never thought I would be a repeat customer at a trampoline park but now, I cannot even count the…read morenumber of times we have visited the Flying Squirrel Whitby. So much fun, very organized and the space is huge! Although the space is broken up into a few sections (basketball, balance beam, foam pit, etc), the main trampoline area is open with no mesh barriers. This allows you to have a perfect view of your little ones from the perimeter. Parents are welcome to join as the this park is open to all ages but it's also nice to let the kids exert their energy while you conserve your own from a far :) . You are required to wear grip socks when jumping and they are available for purchase. They host several birthday parties daily but somehow it never feels overly crowded. There's always enough room to allow for a safe and fun experience. The staff are enthusiastic and I have seen them calmly address some minor injuries, quickly arriving to the scene with some ice. They recently made a change if you haven't visited the place in a while. They removed one of the two inflatable jumping areas and replaced it with something similar to the new Upla nets at Tree Top Trekking Parks. Lots of fun! Come once and you will definitely return.

At entrance, you MUST sign the computer waivers (to the LEFT)before paying at the front counter. You are also supposed to watch the safety video, which no one checks if you really have. This is a bit dangerous since I witnessed many people crossing trampoline squares while someone is bouncing. We bring our own non slip socks from taekwondo or other jump places and have never encountered a problem. I will remark Flying Squirrel socks are much nicer for grip pattern, style(army pink) and are longer to half up the calf muscle. The space is really large and so many neat areas to play. There are attendants at stations where there are height restrictions. Signs are posted everywhere but who reads these? Attendants also rotate stations which is smart, just like lifeguards. They all seemed nice when we have gone. They do not police strictly as many kids are doing gymnastics(flips, layouts, backhand springs) and little kids can run in the way. Lots of seating for parents, paid lockers at the front but most just drag around water bottles and backpacks. There's a small arcade at the front, 25 cents for ticket with some games requiring 9 tickets. Really like how they offer toddler pricing (up to 6 yr old) since these kiddos cannot do all the jumping stations. 90 mins is a good amount of time to sweat out their craziness.

The washrooms were decent--yes, the women's side had a lineup, but it moved fairly quickly. Highly recommend checking this beach out. Parking is $21 for the day, and it's easy to purchase online before you go.

That could be hard on some peoples feet. I didn't go swimming as I wasn't sure about the water quality. But I did see several people swimming. It's a nice place but there were lots of mosquitoes around. Hubby got bitten so many times that his legs got swollen. The gift shop is quite small with no where to sit inside to get out of the heat. There is one handicap washroom at the gift shop & some picnic benches outside of the gift shop. The washroom near the beach was okay for a pubic park washroom. It was super hot in there though. All the windows were closed so all the heat stayed trapped inside. Not sure if I would come back here. They need shower facilities near the beach but there weren't any in the area I visited.
