They said that it would be about two hours for my reading glasses and they said that my glasses for driving would take about 10 to 14 days. I got 3 pairs of glasses for a little under $700.00 dollars. I got home and I received a text message that my glasses were ready to be picked up. I then started getting my eye exams elsewhere, so I cannot comment on any current optomertist at Walmart. However, I continue to use Walmart for frames and lenses. They will accept prescriptions from outside optomertists. They grind my lenses precisely to the prescription. They now offer "extra photogray" which is helpful if you are sensitive to light, especially here in sunny Yuma. Walmart also offers a good selection of frames (men's, women's, and childrens's) and at different price levels. Eyesight is precious, and I find Walmart to be reliable and convenient. The Vision Center employees will explain your options, and will patiently wait while you chose out your frames.

But they also sell discounted airline tickets, a hearing center and vision center. Costco is big enough that they can select only the best vendors-also tested by the millions of Costco shoppers daily (and if a product doesn't sell, they get cut!) We have been to the Costco Vision Center in Hawthorne, CA. and had good experience (though the glasses make my eye muscle pull and cause eye strain but no one could tell why) so decided to go again in El Centro, CA. They don't have an optometrist yet but gave us a card for one that works out of the Costco optometry office on Saturday and Sunday. I did a separate review for Guru Sharma, Optometrist since he is only 'associated' with Costco. You see the huge wall of frames and sunglasses on the wall of the Vision Center when you first walk up. They have a large selection in a wide range of prices, from economical to designer brands. I actually picked a designer brand last time because they looked so nice and am just going to replace the sunglass lenses. They are really tough because I am rough of glasses-I hang them on a glass lanyard so I don't lose them and they get caught on counters, get food dropped on them and bump them when I carry groceries. So Costco choices of glasses pass their test for quality. I have worked with 3 different employees that work at the vision counter. All of them must have been trained really well because they could answer all my glasses which were very complicated. Every single employee seemed to know their job well-including helping to figure out what went wrong with my last glasses. They order the lenses from an offsite lab but only take 5-7 days to get. I would definitely recommend Costco Optometry. They do a great job with great prices.

Staff is always courteous and appointments are always staggered. You're not given an an…read moreappointment time along with the 10 or 15 other people like some other providers schedule. You're usually out in less than an hour which is incredible, especially for elderly people who sometimes have other health issues. My father when alive, was especially grateful for this. I was immediately greeted at the desk, my name was written down and called within 5 minutes. I sat at a young woman's desk and explained to her, my glasses needed to be looked at, and perhaps needed a bit of glue to reinforce them from breaking loose. She immediately got up, took them to the back, repaired them, cleaned them and brought them back to me. I was charged five dollars and happy to pay it. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. Great customer service! Highly recommend!

Daniela at the front was very patient and worked with me until I was able to acquire all information I needed ( New to tri focals). Never felt rushed. Defiantly recommend them and will be going back . I don't have eye insurance and Daniela spent a lot of time with me trying to find discounts that could apply. Very Helpful.

Very unprofessional, very rude, didn't train my daughter how to put her contacts in and out…read moreproperly, in fact the lenses got switched so once she got them in they were blurry, they didn't even bother to check them! They let her go home with blurry vision! Then she tore one of the contacts taking it out and had to wait 4 weeks to receive a replacement lense, then she lost one now she has to wait another 4-5 weeks before receiving the replacement and they are charging her $50 also! Because they didn't train her properly, the "trainer" was on her phone the whole time not even paying attention, never even checked when she said they were blurry. The guy who answers the phone flat out lied telling me he never told me he was going to put an order in for a replacement contact. I WARN ANYBODY THAT IS THINKING ABOUT USING THIS COMPANY TO RETHINK THAT CHOICE!!!! Honestly, Walmart is much better and less expensive and never rude!
