The layout is designed to accentuate the picturesque lakefront setting. This was one of the first Davis Love III designed courses in the Charlotte area. The tree lined fairways, the terrain, and water make for a challenging game. There is only a small area at the beginning where you are looking at houses- the rest is natural. I can't think of anything bad to say about this place.

This course is #3 on the B-Man's guide to the top 10 Charlotte area golf courses. It's a good course but a #3 seems overrated to me. Understanding it's February so granted, not ideal conditions. Still a problem when you have more than half an entire green surface under repair. You get only one Par 3 on the front and two on the back. The fairways are wide open and forgiving. The tee boxes all in good repair. You get the computerized electric golf carts. The check-in and Staff was smooth and everyone was nice. The bar/restaurant experience was good. As a Senior golfer, you get considerable tee advantage on most all of the holes. There is water but it doesn't come into play. They had patrolling Ranger maintaining pace of play. It is literally right adjacent to the Speedway. On several holes, you can see the Grandstands. I think you want to avoid this place on race day.

The carefully designed layout makes it easier for tournament golfers or anyone that wants to walk the holes. The greens and fairways are well maintained. The groundskeeper has chosen flowers and natural landscaping that brings out the natural beauty of this mature course. You will find a few challenging water hazards. Hole 11(par 5) is challenging. Hole ten is my favorite hole(par 4) it is straight on but you must avoid several bunkers. The dining at Cabarrus is a pleasant experience as well. From hot dogs to prime rib the menu is diverse. They have special occasion buffets that are really good. The chef works hard to keep the menu exciting. Sunday brunch is always a hit. My personal favorite menu item is the Reuben sandwich. The club also offers tennis and swimming. All of the sports at Cabarrus have organized competitions. The club sends out a newsletter and special emails to alert everyone of club sponsored events. They really put the fun in swimming, tennis, and golf! They also offer lessons and private instruction from experts in the sport. They have an amazing reception hall for weddings, wedding receptions, class reunions, or any event that needs a large opulent area. The on-site catering of food simplifies the planning of events. The spacious well-lit parking lot provides plenty of close parking for any event. Everything done here is first class!

There is a lot to like about this golf course. It has a…read moremountain course feel as there are a lot of ups and downs with elevated tee boxes and greens. The course is well maintained in every way. The tee boxes are all in excellent condition and well marked. The fairways are wide open and generous. There are a few that are narrow and you'll be punished for being OB. Quite a few greenside bunkers and some scattered fairway bunkers. There is some water with a couple of holes where there is a creek crossing as well as a couple of holes where there is water along the fairway but none that will impede your shot. The greens are all immaculate and roll well. They will challenge even the best golfer. I found the check-in easy and the overall staff was professional and friendly. The Starter was great with a sense of humor and some good info on bathroom location and holes to watch for when you're a first time player. The electric carts were all clean and in great repair. There was a beverage cart making regular rounds on the front and back. They have a great driving range with an elevated tee box that has a dramatic feel and easy to follow your ball flight. The bar/grill was very nice though I didn't order anything. I really liked the shady back porch with lots of tables and chairs making great viewing as players roll off 9 & 18. My favorite holes is #16, a 144 yard par 3 with a pond on the left and one green side bunker to the right. Just a great overall golf experience that I would highly recommend

If your website is wrong, then you should give the benefit of the doubt to your customer and let them have that price. Completely unprofessional and just bad business to do what they did here. I even showed the pro shop the email and booking confirmation I received. Imagine booking an air bnb for a certain price online and then when you show up they bump up the price by $100. You're already there and committed, so they know you aren't just gonna leave. Shame on them.

I explained what I was looking for and that I was on the fence of doing a fitting just to see how the clubs feel. Walked around a bit store was very clean and welcoming very organized as well. A few minutes go by I say you know what let me do a fitting. Jay was happy to help. He but his 100% effort and finding the right set up that fitted me. I spent bout a hour with Jay hitting golf balls at there amazing indoor simulator seeing what worked best for me. The experience was amazing very welcoming unlike other big named golf stores I been to Jay worked with me even tho I'm not the best golfer, it made the experience so much more enjoyable. All said and done I was a returning customer so it helped with some shipping cost as well as I purchased multiple clubs so I got a certain parentage off each club and being a first responder, PXGs hero discount took off some on the total order also. I'm extremely happy with my purchase and felt the price I paid was extremely fair compared to other big name golf clubs. 10/10 will be going back in the future to purchase more clubs from them to complete my set.

Many balls are lost in the creek that flows in the middle of the range. Cannot hit driver if you hit past 250 yards or it will be lost because the range isn't long enough.
