Blazing Design has their own installation and service team, and they have a good track record of properly servicing units they sell for their customers. My experience falls in line with what I have heard from others. Installation was prompt. Despite being during a busy season, they were able to schedule me - somewhat on the fringe of their service area, mind you - right after the holidays. They were very communicative about scheduling, and confirmed with me as my appointment approached. Installation was flawless. They took great care making sure that the installation location was precise, and unobtrusive. Phil and Ryan triple checked house plans and reference photos prior to making any holes for venting. Measured thrice, and cut once. Not all went without a hitch. My propane lines were, apparently, not hooked up to my propane tank, which precluded our ability to finish installation on that day. Sueann was quick to schedule a follow-up with me immediately after I had that issue resolved, and they were even able to show up a day earlier, because of an opening in availability while being in the area. I appreciated that immensely. If you're shopping around for a stove, you're probably looking at the same places in this area of the state as I was, and dreading doing business. Some have a history of lawsuits (yes, really), and others have a less than stellar reputation with being helpful to customers. Finding Blazing Design was a huge relief to me. My experience is a masterclass on how to acquire and retain a loyal customer.

I called/emailed about 5 of the people on the list. Only 2 were immediately responsive (one was Jeremy). His quote was higher than the other guy, but it also included more services and was more detailed. After doing some research and talking to many people (and changing my scope of work and having to have people come out and give me new estimates), I decided to go with Jeremy because his quote was the smartest and took into account my real needs (not just my needs as I perceived them - I'm a new house owner so I'm pretty clueless). On top of being the most responsive and having the most intelligent quote, he actually showed up and performed the service when he said he would (even my best contractors often don't show up when they say). And to make things better still, I had the work checked out by my exterminator (part of my problem was mice entering through the foundation of the house) and he said the work was excellent - truly top notch. I've been working with various contractors now for 2 years on my new house and have pretty low expectations in terms of customer service and communication (because let's face it, contractors don't seem to be very good at that even on good days). Jeremy exceeded my expectations in every aspect of his work. And for that, I'm very grateful. Thank you! I would highly recommend him based on professionalism, work ethic and quality of finished product. I never had to worry with him or check in on his work or wonder where he was. I called 17 times and it just went to voicemail. I left a singular voicemail and sent them a text and still no word from them. He gave me some bologna answer about a technician calling me and letting me know if their arrival time but three hours later guess what no call. This company sucks. They do not return calls after they take your 50% deposit!! I made an appointment for an inspection…read moreand chimney cleaning in August and was patient for an appointment in early Oct bc of covid. They were friendly enough at the appointment. However, after they came they suggested I needed to replace my firebox and wouldn't clean my chimney bc it was a hazard so I paid for the inspection only on day of service. I was told the quote for firebox would come to me with in a week (maybe sooner bc it was going to rain the next day and might be able to get to me) the bad news was the earliest they could book me was around thanksgiving. After calling weekly I finally got the quote after 3 weeks and paid a 50% deposit. I was told early Dec at the time of deposit. I call and email weekly. Never do they answer the phone and I get a few short emails from Jessica never actually setting a date. Even told me one time that Duane never told me what he did about timing. Last reply I received in mid Dec was the latest would be January. It's Feb now they don't call me back and still haven't given me a date. To take over $2k from me and not respond for 3 months is terrible business.
