so I set an appointment up and they said they would be out between 12 and 2 PM. When that time came and went, I called the and spoke with the gentleman who I initially booked with and when I told him what was going on, he hung up on me. I called 17 times and it just went to voicemail. I left a singular voicemail and sent them a text and still no word from them. So I tried calling from a different phone number and imagine that they answered right away. He gave me some bologna answer about a technician calling me and letting me know if their arrival time but three hours later guess what no call. This company sucks. Do a little bit of research on them and stay away! I sincerely hope they go out of business. read more

They do not return calls after they take your 50% deposit!! I made an appointment for an inspection and chimney cleaning in August and was patient for an appointment in early Oct bc of covid. They were friendly enough at the appointment. However, after they came they suggested I needed to replace my firebox and wouldn't clean my chimney bc it was a hazard so I paid for the inspection only on day of service. I was told the quote for firebox would come to me with in a week (maybe sooner bc it was going to rain the next day and might be able to get to me) the bad news was the earliest they could book me was around thanksgiving. After calling weekly I finally got the quote after 3 weeks and paid a 50% deposit. I was told early Dec at the time of deposit. I call and email weekly. Never do they answer the phone and I get a few short emails from Jessica never actually setting a date. Even told me one time that Duane never told me what he did about timing. Last reply I received in mid Dec was the latest would be January. It's Feb now they don't call me back and still haven't given me a date. To take over $2k from me and not respond for 3 months is terrible business. read more

A family member hired these guys to have a chimney service and wood stove cleaned. The did a quick vacuum of the stove and ran a small brush through the pipe. They were there for about 15 minutes and charged over $200. A proper stove cleaning is a cleaning of the interior and baffles and some stoves need to be partially disassembled in order to do a thorough job. When asked about this the answer was "we ain't doin that cuz it ain't needed." Not only did they do a worthless job for a ridiculous amount of money they refused to provide a receipt for the work done. Numerous phone calls to the business were not answered or returned. There are plenty of other reputable chimney cleaning companies in our area and it would be advised to not give these guys any of your business. read more

I called Bayside to repair a pellet stove that had quit working. I used them before to do the annual cleaning and chimney inspection on the stove. They responded and booked an appointment a week later. They showed up early, a good thing, and got to work. They were personable to deal with, then. Apparently, the repair was not a simple task and they had to work fairly hard to try and accomplish the repairs needed as the auger was not feeding pellets. They were there for 4 1/2 hours. They told me it was fixed, but the stove was not working when they left. I finally did get it to start. It worked, not like before but at least it was operating. That lasted 2 days, then the stove stopped and the auger no longer fed the pellets again. I called on Monday morning and the phone message assured me I would get a return call within 24 hours. NOPE. I called again on Friday. Same result. I waited 3 weeks and called again. Same result. No return calls. I can only assume they don't want to bother with the jobs that are not simple fixes. They were okay, however, with taking the $585 payment for the day they did come out. I am very disappointed in the failure to even respond to my calls, even if only to tell me they don't want to work on it again. I'll see if I can find someone else to actually fix it and clean my chimneys from now on. read more

Ripped me off charged me $100 didn't even clean the chimney. Said it was a hazard. Been burning this stove and chimney for 15+ years. Tried to sell me $5000 chimney and stove set up. Called a two different local chimney sweeps and one cleaned no problem and both said there was no issues to be concerned with. Buyer beware, don't allow yourself to be steamrolled into spending unnecessary monies. read more
