This is located at the outlet in Lutz Florida. A small, clean stand with drinks and flavored diced mangos. I tried the Mexicano mangos (tajin, lime, chamoy and hot sauce). It had the potential to be very good but the mango was not ripe at all. It was very firm and flavorless so I didn't get the balance of sweet, salty and spicy. My advice would be to use riper mangos that are sweet to bring the full flavor out. Also, the price is a bit much. This small container was $9.33. It should be around $6.00. read more

Why 4 stars? Because it's such a unique snack while shopping. --- --- --- If you go to malls all over the country, you'll typically find just about the same food vendors no matter where you are. That's why I think Green Mango was especially cool - don't get me wrong, I love Auntie Anne's, but this is something completely different! There were many different flavor combination options available, but because I'd never really had anything like it before, I opted to just leave my fate in the hands of the guy preparing things. I told him that I trusted him, as long as he didn't make mine too spicy. He ended up making me some sort of concoction salt/seasoning/vinegar. I really enjoyed it - the combination of sweet and salty sure is an amazing thing. I do wish the mangoes were a little sweeter, but there's nothing you can do about that when it's late December. A couple of weeks after I first encountered Green Mango, my wife was en route to the outlet mall so I asked her to bring back the concoction with condensed milk. It's the thing to order on this menu if you like sweets, but it's definitely not overwhelmingly sweet. The condensed milk is subtle enough to honestly just make the mango taste like it's perfectly at its peak, in-season sweetness. I'm giving this food stand 5 stars because 1) Cindy was very helpful/informative and 2) it is a delicious and healthy snack. I thought the price was a little high, but I appreciate a healthy option, so I bumped it up. Cindy let me know that in Colombia, this is a common snack. Basically, it is unripe/tart mango with a variety of toppings. Some of the mango is spiralized while others are thicker sticks. While the mango in the photo may look ripe, it actually doesn't taste like sweet mango. It's a more tart, yet delicious flavor. The mango is also crunchy, but in a good way. I went with her suggestion for a first timer of fresh squeezed lime juice, pepper and a little salt. I definitely enjoyed it and will seek this booth out the next time I am wanting a snack at the Tampa Premium Outlets. If you try it, I hope you enjoy it, too! read more

Mangoes are my favorite fruit. I LOVE green mangos. I grew up eating all types of mango, but I had a mango tree in my back yard in Hawaii and me a my Samoan friend could never wait for the mangoes to ripen, so we'd get our special pole that we'd knock any mango down with and catch it with the basket hanging on the side of the pole. If it was green we'd slice it into pieces and dip the sour mango in bagoong (Filipino fermented shrimp paste or the fish version). We were in heaven. If we were desperate we'd just use soy sauce or even salt and vinegar. I only wish I knew where to get green mangoes consistently because I crave the taste of green mangoes. Sometimes at the market I think a mango is green and it's actually yellow inside (still good and crunchy, but not as sour). Having a bowl at Green Mango was much more sophisticated. I got the vinegar chile version and it was so delicious! It wasn't prepared in the same way that I was used to but it still brought me back. Apparently Colombians and other South Americans eat green mangoes too and have many different flavorings/toppings that they use on them. I can't wait to go back to try different versions of the green mango bowl. read more

Very good!! Actually nice to have a good vendor in a shopping mall that seems a bit healthy. I also love the fact that you can add what spices you'd like so every order is unique. Traveling down I-75 I searched for a juice bar or smoothie and ran across reviews for Green Mango. It sounded intriguing so I convinced my husband to take a short detour from the highway to the outlet mall where you can find this store. We told the staff we had never been there and that we had read the nice reviews from others. We asked them what they recommended and they suggested a kind of mango slushy with chunks of mango and a red sauce. It was fantastic! It's too bad neither of said out loud that we could have eaten another before we were ten minutes down the highway. Next time! read more
