The majority of the store is hardcover with many first editions and the prices generally run between $50 and $500. I have never seen so many $500 books sitting on shelves and not displayed. That said, this store seems to be as much about serious literature as it is about book collecting. Even with my pull list at their other location, I always find something I have to pick up on my quick visit. They also have fantastic signings here throughout the year so there's a good chance that you can meet either one of your favorite writers or be introduced to your next obsession. My only complaint isn't even their fault & it's the parking. Like most of this area of NoHo, it's all limited street parking with meters or you're going to have to cross your fingers that you can find something in the residential streets in the area. But honestly, it's worth it. If you live in the area and are looking for your new favorite neighborhood shop, this is it.

Only a handful of people have ever seen some of these books. I was overcome by the sense of history. The staff was warm and friendly even suggesting other book shops to visit. Even random pedestrianss around the book shop were friendly. This is a GREAT book shop in my opinion and a must for lovers of rare books.
